Dr. Tosiou was my first gastro guy, as I like to call him, and was stellar in all regards. I then had a subsequent colonoscopy (third, actually) with a different gastro at a larger, more renowned facility. Well, suffice it to say that it was not a good experience, also in all regards. I told Dr. T that I would never cheat on him again and he then explained why the experience was not a good one and that each body type has to be taken into consideration when doing any procedures. Wow. Who knew? Obviously the other facility did not. The good news is he was so kind and utterly unperturbed that I had wandered into other pastures, so I am back in the fold of his practice. Seriously, I would say, if you need a gastro guy, he is as good as they get. If there is any downside to the practice it's that he may be difficult to speak to directly if you have questions regarding your health status. Most times it is relayed through nurses and that can be problematic. But he is worth dealing with that I believe. He also is part of Associates In Gastroenterology in Grayslake, IL. Good luck!

He listens closely and pays attention to your concerns; he provides answers to those concerns in a detailed but not overwhelming way. He thoroughly explained the procedures with possible side effects; his office staff was excellent in preparing you for the next steps. The hospital staff were also terrific and guided me through the next steps and had me out of there in an amazingly short period of time. All in all a great doc and staff! They deserve five stars.

A year ago plus, my father was having Difficulty with swallowing and kept choking when he ate anything. His hmo insurance was not great and to do an upper endoscopy with dilation in the hospital would have been $5000 out of pocket!!! I took him to Dr. Deyrmenjian and explained our situation. The doctor was so understanding and kind, he offered us a very discounted cash pay cost to do the procedure in office. He took excellent care of my father during the procedure and checked on him after. With routine daily medication and the procedure, he no longer has the difficulty Or choking with swallowing Food. Following this, my husband was having the same issue as my father off and on. Finally decided enough was enough and we went to see Dr. Deyrmenjian last week for consultation. The doctor scheduled him right away for the following Tuesday to perform the in office endoscopy with dilation and even came in on his off day to do it. He is efficient in doing his procedures and explains everything and provides reassurance when needed. The procedure was successful and we were in and out of the office. The office staff including front desk and his nurses are wonderful and friendly. I would definitely recommend Dr. Deyrmenjian for your gastrointestinal needs! He is a caring and compassionate doctor that is knowledgeable and straight to the point.

In short, I had reached a point where I couldn't swallow. Medications, food, liquids, etc. This doctor with the magical hands that my primary at the VA told me about, has given me a new lease on life, so if you have a problem, then I think you went to the wrong doctor. The strength of…read morethis office in my opinion is that they offer walk in sick call hours Monday through Friday which is great for people with a busy career and can't afford to take time away during their work day to come the doctor (Monday thru Friday 7:15-8:15am). The nurse practitioner Laura is very nice and does her job well. My main complaint with this office as of late is it seems very hard to get an appointment with the doctor. And the staff seems to almost push you to see the nurse practitioner. Don't get me wrong I know she is knowledgable but when you want to see the doctor let a client see their doctor.

Date of visit: September 11, 2025…read more I brought my friend here for a colonoscopy and while I wasn't the patient, it was an overall good experience for me as his transport and emergency contact. The staff were communicative and friendly, letting me know when he was ready and sharing updates along the way when he took extra time to come out of the twilight sleep. The office is a bit hard to find, tucked back in an office park where all of the buildings look the same and we found the patient pick up parking a lot easier than the drop off parking! The area for pick up can be a bit tight, so be mindful that you aren't blocking anyone's parking spot while you're waiting for your patient. The waiting room area seemed a bit tired and ready for a refresh, but otherwise it was a positive experience for me--which is probably easier to say since they weren't sticking anything inside me! Pro tip: Head down the street to Pepper Park Coffee while you wait!
