We have experienced repeated issues with delayed insurance paperwork. On multiple occasions, my husband--who requires medically necessary infusions every six weeks--has had his treatment schedule disrupted because the office failed to submit prior authorization requests in a timely manner. In one instance, they waited until less than a week before the scheduled appointment to submit the request, and made no effort to escalate the issue. This lack of urgency and poor planning resulted in canceled appointments and delays in his critical care. These kinds of administrative failures show a complete disregard for patients' health and continuity of care. We are extremely disappointed and will be seeking care elsewhere.

In my first consultation appointment with the doctor, we discussed the procedure. He was very friendly and thorough answering questions. There was no time rush. His office staff was also very friendly, organized and even helped to resolve an insurance problem. The day of my proceedure, there was no overbooking so I didn't even wait for 5 minutes before my nurse called me in. Respecting that this was a sensitive proceedure, he was very professional and friendly which put me at ease. The anesthesiologist and nursing staff were all very nice and organized. The procedure was done very quickly. Dr. Matseshe met with my husband and me explaining the results and again answered any questions. The staff were communicative and friendly, letting me know when he was ready and sharing updates along the way when he took extra time to come out of the twilight sleep. The office is a bit hard to find, tucked back in an office park where all of the buildings look the same and we found the patient pick up parking a lot easier than the drop off parking! The area for pick up can be a bit tight, so be mindful that you aren't blocking anyone's parking spot while you're waiting for your patient. The waiting room area seemed a bit tired and ready for a refresh, but otherwise it was a positive experience for me--which is probably easier to say since they weren't sticking anything inside me! Pro tip: Head down the street to Pepper Park Coffee while you wait!
