I recently had to get another FNA shortly after seeing Dr Srinivasan. Needless to say, I was not looking forward to it. Dr. Srinivasan assured me she'd never had anyone swear at her from the pain, so I took that as a good sign. While it wasn't the most pleasant experience of my life (please call me if someone makes the process of getting needles stuck in one's neck a pleasant experience - not possible), it was no more painful than a shot! I was handed an ice pack and I think that really ensured that I'd have no pain the next day. I assured Dr Srinivasan that she'd performed the best biopsy I'd ever had and she'd get 5 stars for it - so here they are. In addition to her stellar biopsy skills (right in the office, no trip to the hospital), she's been an informative and attentive endocrinologist. I highly recommend her!

I started noticing changes around 48; my moods were off - patience was fragile which is not like me; eventually, terrible hot flashes started, and pretty much everything else started going sideways: mental fog, exhaustion, terrible sleep, and absolutely zero libido. I tried everything to find relief, the natural remedies, the over the counters, relaxation audio, yoga, massage.. omg what haven't I tried. I waited longer, did more reading and research and finally decided I had to do something - I was tired of feeling.. tired. Tired of whatever was causing me to feel definitely not me. Friends who are under his care for HRT recommended I talk with him. I booked my appointment with Dr. McMillan's office and anxiously awaited my consultation appointment. Dr. McMillen is not new to HRT, in fact he is board certified and has been practicing HRT for over 7 years. I sat down with him and had a long discussion about my health and concerns. I don't think I've ever sat down with a doctor and talked about what was going on with me, what I was looking to do to such length. So after a lengthy discussion about, well, me, what HRT is today, how it works, and what is possible, I was eager to move to step 2. We scheduled a blood draw and full body scan to get into what's going on inside - and this is not a standard blood draw; it's like looking at the roadmap of what's going on; it was incredibly fascinating, as well as seeing where I can improve. (As a fitness / health-minded person, it was data central to my geek heart). My "pellet" ingredients were manufactured based on this report and how we wanted to approach treatment, ease in, or full board, and I anxiously awaited my next appointment to get them. I was a bit nervous when I went back; I didn't know what to expect... and honestly, the local anesthetic was more "scary than the procedure itself. But, now that I've had my second, it was a piece of cake. The incision itself is very, very small, covered with a surgical strip and then another water proof bandage over. Very discret and high enough you don't have to worry about "sitting". No discomfort, no pain. I can't believe I waited this long to do this. So you say, get to what happened! I kept looking at the calendar, ok, when's it going to happen, what am I going to feel? Is my libido going to come back... and all the other parts dissipate like... let's just get real, discomfort....which was the worst of all things. A few weeks in I found out yet, this solved the problem. EVERYTHING was working as it used to! Here is a list of all the things that have come back: Libido and no discomfort (I think you get the picture here) Sleep - omg sleep is next level, in fact, I can't wait to go to bed because the sleep is incredible Focus - I'm no longer foggy, forgetful, and struggle to keep my thoughts straight. Fitness - decreasing body fat and increasing muscle definition again - I was struggling to keep what I had with the declining hormone levels. General mood/energy - I felt like a frickin' tiger about 3/4 of the way through the first three months (and before your next pellet session) in which the hormones start naturally tapering, and each upcoming load generally increases baseline, so you begin to keep a higher base level. I genuinely feel Dr. McMillan is the perfect choice based on his level of genuine care and interest, his experience, and his credentials. And it's not just for women... men go through it too, and they're just as many seeking relief; it's ok to take charge of your health to feel good. His reason for what inspired him to step into this field is heartfelt in wanting others not to live our "older years" unnecessarily dwindling. As medicine and technology increase our living span, it only makes sense to live it better and the best you can. Trust me, you won't regret it! Dr. McMillan is awesome as is his super friendly staff!!!

Without gloves... was unable to get the blood pressure cuff Bluetooth to work and argued with another ma? over using the wrong one. So the Dr. Entered the room introduced himself and asked who my wife was? And then blew my mind he asked me why I was visiting his office? WTF? I said " you tell me? " He said I dont know with my folder in hand... and this is after the 20 questions the young lady ma? that admitted not being a certified ma with no credentials and no schooling asked me at her computer. So going forward the Dr. Acussed me of having an attitude and talked down to me and explained he has 80 patience scheduled ea week and only 40 make it in, so he never takes the time to investigate ones reason for the visit and in not doing so he didn't have any ct scan results nor my biopsy results, nor the 3rd testing of 3 types of test that was done and a letter stating so sent to me as to why I was sent on this very day to have this Dr. Read my results. All I wanted to know was yes or no do I have cancer and this ill prepared Dr. Couldn't answer me but instead fed me his excuses as to why he never does his job.... I'll prepared, unreliable, rude, assistants unqualified, unwilling to take responsibility and hard to talk to this Dr. examined my neck without gloves... and told me cancer or not in his opinion I need to have all 5 nodules surgically removed as they were all over 4 centimeters in size, and referred me to UCSF, The Dr. Then asked me to mail any results to his office, then he asked me to email them, then he told me he would call modesto imaging and get them his self tomorrow being Monday. WTF? it's your job not mine to prepare you with the results to do your job and read me the results....so I was told lastly, I will call you by Wednesday to read your results and if you dont hear from my office in 3 weeks with UCSF reference please call us to remind us. Again, im floored to think this guy is being referred by many drs including mine lol wait till I send a copy of this review to not only my referring Dr. & also my insurance so they are aware of my waisted day and a office visit that I believe should not be rendered as a true visit with payment due. Hmmm NOT!!!! 3.2 on YELP I WONDER WHY ???? Retirement is near in my opinion SIT DOWN AND STOP BEING RUDE TO POTENTIAL CANCER PATIENCE ITS MENTALY DESTURBING AT THE LEAST...
