Really bummed after seeing so many positive reviews on Google I had high hopes. I was buying my first house and the home owners used him to fix some of the major defects from the inspection. There were a few issues with the floor but the worst one was he provided a receipt that he had replaced the chimney cap (see below) and about 5 weeks after settlement it rained and I had water pouring in from where the chimney goes into the basement in the house . I had contractors at the house replacing the flooring and they were able to take a look and they went on the roof and said there was no chimney cap at all so the water was just pouring in on the floor. I called and spoke to Frank and he said that was not what the agent had told him to do but he had provided a receipt that he had done it. Luckily the contractors I had on site were more honest and thorough and put a cap on for me and repatched but it cost me an additional $650 for them to clean it out fix what had been done. $650 which I wasn't expecting since it had "already been taken care of". Donot Hire Frank Devonshire Contracting for anything , This process began on 6/20/25, They were contracted to do a sealing and tinting of our damaged driveway,They picked up a deposit on 6/20/25,Sent a representative allegedly from Sherman Williams (Whom we shall also be addressing) Noone came to do anything until 7/22/25 which they powerwashed the driveway and picked up another payment on this day ,They were supposed to return the next day. Noone has returned to do anything as of this day 8/31/25, Multiple callls and messages were sent. His office sent a message on7/30/25 stating they were sending a representative from Sherwin Williams .On 8/5/25 someone was supposed to contact us and come around for a colormatch. On 8/7/25 we received a response stating that they received the information. On 8/19/25 We received a message stating that his Grandfather passed and he would be out of the office. As of 8/31/25 we have not heard anything or received any services. He is currently in possession of our money and has not responded to our messages. DONOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY AT ALL read more

It pains me to write this review. I had such high hopes for Frank & Co. But he has totally disappointed me. I signed with him in February 2024 to renovate my garage. He didn't start work until late September. He did about 10 days of work and hasn't been back since. He says everyone is sick and no one is available to do the next step. There always seems to be an excuse. And they never get back to you when they say. To make matters worse I gave him money for a concrete step at my new door. I emailed last week asking when I'd be getting my step and no response. I'm going to ask for my money back but I have no confidence at all that he'll make things right. Frank Devonshire is the epitome of a Ponzi scheme fraudster. He takes your money to pay for his debts from months ago, stiffs his subcontractors and vendors. He is full of BS and lies and takes no responsibility for his failures, nor does he pay his debts. I had to file litigation against him in 2023 after he STOLE over $16K from me and the only work that got done after several months was some basic, yet incomplete, demo. After a year of attorneys, I finally settled with him and allowed him to make monthly payments of $1K. Late every month and then fully defaulted so my Motion for Summary Judgment has reopened the case so a judge can put another lien against him. As of now, there are at least 7 active cases against him, 5 judgments totaling almost $64K and 2 judgments where the amount is not reflected - just going back to 2023. And the whole time I was starting to "work" with this loser, he was telling me about how he just renovated his entire kitchen - clearly with the money he stole from hardworking people wanting quality work. This guy is a total POS and needs to go to prison and I will do everything possible to help make that happen. read more

BUYER BEWARE: Do not hire Frank Devonshire Contracting if you are looking for your construction to be completed in any realistic time frame with any type of support after signing the contract and giving a down payment. However, If you do decide to sign a contract with him negotiate a start and completion date that is worked into the contract and minimize any money you offer upfront. Long story short, the company is poorly run, over booked, and they offer nothing but excuses, lies, and missed commitments. Your down payment is going to fund other projects that he has booked. I know this because even after the first day onsite he asked for another $7,500.00 before completing any contractual work ontop of the large downpayment we have already provided him, which was supposed to be for buying our materials upfront. I have spoken to multiple people who are in the same boat as us and nobody wants to speak out in fear of him not coming back to complete his work. We have been under contract with him for a year and he has only been here for 2 working weeks and only after dozens of attempts to contact him. My husband and I signed a contract with him in Sept. 2023 to convert our one garage into a den and add a shower to a bathroom in the same area. When we signed the contract, he told us work would most likely start in February 2024. When February came, we followed up and he pushed the date to April. After ignoring multiple emails, we asked him to quote additional work, and he showed up right away and brought some of the information he submitted for permitting. At this time, we also told Frank that we had a baby coming in September so everything needed to be complete before I delivered, and he promised us it would be done. After looking into the info he provided us, it turns out his permit was rejected. It took him another 3 months to finally get the documents approved but he could not get the permit issued because he has too many expired permits. He blamed the county, but the delays were blatantly the fault of his company's neglect of our project. He showed up in July to start the work and demo'd a load bearing wall and installed a beam and went missing for another month. We reached out and said it would be unacceptable to have concrete being demolished with a newborn. I ended up having the baby two weeks early and the Tuesday after coming home with the baby, Frank sent workers to rip up the concrete. After the concrete was out, he was supposed to have his plumber show up to do underground plumbing he then said he had to send someone out to give him a quote? Wouldn't you think after nearly a year and 10's of thousands of dollars he would already have his sub-contractors locked in? At this point my husband said fck it and did the plumbing through the company he works for. The plumbing is completed, Frank is nowhere to be found and there is still NO PERMIT for the major structural work he's done. It has not been inspected; we don't even know if it is still safe to be in the house. The beam he put in is missing screws, all his trash is still in my garage, he has left half of our house completely disheveled/without electricity and open to the environment with only two pieces of plywood blocking the opening where the garage door was. We now have bugs, mice and all types of critters coming and going as they please through half my house with a newborn and a two-year-old. After talking to him he keeps lying about when he will have people there and we have no confidence in him being completed before it gets too cold for our newborn and we have to find another place to stay. I just want this nightmare over and to be able to raise my kids in a home and not a construction site, and to let people know what they are getting into when they deal with Devonshire Contracting. read more

BEWARE Once the company receives your deposit for the job, he will cease to stay in contact and has every excuse of why work can not be started. When provided deposit for materials @ $29k January 9, 2024 work has not been started as he stated within 2 weeks of receipt of deposit.
