I came across a guy advertising upholstery work on Facebook. I needed upholstery work so I contacted him and we set up an appointment. I showed up at the shop at the scheduled time to drop off my seat but the guy I contacted wasn't there yet and the less than agreeable woman who appeared to be running the show said that the guy who was to upholster my seat isn't supposed to be doing side work there and refused to let me drop off my seat. Thanks for wasting my time. You don't expose whatever clown show you have going on behind the scenes and then kick the customer to the curb. You take the seat and charge the guy shop time to use the facility and then fire him if you don't like what he's doing. Later he claimed she didn't know what she was talking about. Had a decent size tear in my drivers seat back rest. The leather seat was only a few years old but needed repair, not a DIY ! Frank and company did a fantastic job at a reasonable price in short order! You can not tell there was a repair, it looks OEM! They gave me an estimate for installing some upholstery. The next day when I picked up the seats they charged me double of what they originally quoted per hour. When I asked for the reason, their response was "because it is a Porsche that's why it is high, if it was a Toyota it will be different" so unprofessional and rude. It's about time Redding businesses like this focus more on customer service than ripping off people just because they drive a nice car. With big regrets, I would stay away from this business at all costs. read more

They made sure to get my truck done in one day so I could get it back quickly and the seats look show quality. CONS: Frank Johnson reupholstered my F150 Lightening with "the highest grade of European leather". He stated the color was Lightening gray. I do like it, but has been pointed out by skeptics that the upholstery is very light in color compared to the original. The upper left side of the passenger seat is wrinkled. It looks like from a lack of "filling". Also the right side passenger release, to allow the seat to flip forward, is broken. It now requires force to pull it forward, and sounds like gears stripping. I did contact Frank Johnson. He looked at it, but looked skeptical about their part. He did tell me to drop it off so they could look at it. I'm a busy mom who is very busy and skeptical. My fault I didn't! PROS: You can trust the input of the woman behind the desk. I wish I remembered her name! The crew went above and beyond by smoothing down the plastic center console that was extremely roughed up! They also through in a bottle of the most wonderful leather cleaner, "DOUBLE BLACK RENNY DOYLE COLLECTION LEATHER TREATMENT CONDITIONER PROTECTANT" I have ever used! It makes the interior and outside plastic look like new. They are wonderful people. Very friendly... read more
