    I can't believe this place is still in business. A year or so ago my wife took my Husqvarna trimmer…read morein because it was leaking fuel. I thought if I took it in they go through it and service it. Well it didn't leak for a while but a couple months ago it started leaking worse. I took it somewhere else and they told me the fuel lines were never replaced. Well today I went in to buy an attachment and was told the beat up dusty floor model with no paperwork was what they had. I said well just order me one so it's in the box. The lady behind the counter who couldn't make a decision without calling the owner was told I'd have to pay freight. Are you kidding me? They will no longer get any business from me or anyone I know. I will never send anybody to this disaster of a business. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS PLACE.

I…read moreneeded a new pull cord though so I went to go purchase one there (figured I'd bring my saw in to get the right part the first time) he took off the cover plate and walked away (I assumed he was looking for the part) without letting me know he will be charging me for this service he installed it so I thought maybe it was a free service since it is so simple .. nope charged $30 for about 10 minutes. I told him I was unhappy with being charged for the service without being notified, he says " do u ever do any work for free" no but I communicate and let my customers know my fees/conditions. I was warned from Dr. L. that his customer base is so small that whenever he gets customers he tries to get as much money as he can and this just proves it. And that's why everyone goes to Stroups in Redding.

    I was visiting my daughter and her family who live in Livermore (I live in Minnesota) and wanted to…read moreintroduce my 16 year old grandson to trout fishing with a fly. This type of fishing isn't available near Livermore but I was aware of the fishery around Redding and was also aware of the Fly Shop because of their worldwide fly fishing travel services. I called and easily booked a guide for a one day float trip on the Sacramento River. We drove up from Livermore and spent the night in Redding and showed up at the Fly Shop the next morning to meet our guide Shane. Although I own enough fly fishing gear myself to stock a small store I didn't want to lug it all on the plane but Shane provided all the gear we needed - rods, reels, flies etc. I asked Shane to focus on my grandson and he was a big help in upgrading my grandson's skills. He hooked numerous rainbow trout and landed a few which were carefully handled and released by Shane. It was a great day - a nice clean drift boat, a skillful and friendly guide, beautiful scenery, and a good lunch. I highly recommend

He said that numerous times with the other person behind the counter that wasn't doing anything,hearing this, but saying nothing throughout the whole process. And after $300, it turns out the lenses are not correct for what I need. They're good glasses, but they don't work properly for my usage. At no point through this did that sales person or the person behind the counter say ,wait , let me find somebody in the store that does know about these glasses to help make an informed decision.What it felt like from this store was , pick something out, pay us and get out. And the smile you say on my face as I left was definitely a misread on your part..
