As an only child my mother's passing in the hospital took me by surprise and I was suddenly hit with having to plan a service and burial for the first time in my life. Great referrals are priceless when you are going through emotional trauma and shock so you don't have to be shopping around with strangers while grieving. I didn't feel comfortable with the list the hospital gave me after I identified her body. I didn't even know how to shop for funeral services and what to look for so I was in for a crash course. I got a ton of advice from friends and relatives, and had to make decisions quickly to notify the hospital. My friend went with me to meet with Ms. Sherman in her office and after that meeting there was no need to look further. As a business person I can spot a rockstar in her profession from a mile away. Ms. Sherman conveyed sincere warmth and care as I asked questions to understand the process and all the options to consider when burying a loved one. I didn't feel rushed and she patiently explained all the options available. I was also learning what a Funeral Director does before, during and after the burial process. They're a key person not only for planning the funeral service or cremation, but also for dealing with other institutions and government agencies. Ms. Sherman blew me away when she showed the extra care she puts into dressing the deceased and staging the service to give them a proper sendoff. She was also attentive to our family's needs regarding who was best to conduct the service and all the details for the service and the paperwork needed after the service. Her network of service providers was priceless for us. She always responded promptly or delegated the response if busy helping another client so I appreciated that. After my mother's funeral service, Ms. Sherman was kind enough to hold my hand through the final goodbye before my mother's body went off to the crematorium. I really appreciated her prayers and gentle care in getting me through that day. Ms. Sherman still responded promptly several months later when I needed other city paperwork for my mother's cremains to travel. What I love about her is that she is the consummate professional from A-Z in all her communications. Her colleagues were also quite supportive and helpful. Now that I know what a funeral director actually does, I highly recommend using the services of Jacqueline Sherman at Frank R. Bell Funeral Home. I would like to thank Frank R. Bell Funeral Home for making my mother's funeral a very special day for my family and I. My funeral director was Frances and she was professional, empathetic and patient during the entire process even though we were in a pandemic. From the first time I called until the day of the service, all of the staff made me feel welcomed. I appreciate customer service and someone always answered the phone, retrieved information from Frances for me or left detailed messages for her. The response time from Frances or her assistant was always prompt. This was an extremely busy time for the funeral home but they always made me like I was their only client. My mother was in their care for over a month and she looked stunning! They followed all of my directions and everyone said she looked younger and peaceful. The Reverend who did the eulogy was fantastic. It was Sunday church service at it's best! Although, the service was small due to the pandemic, Frances and her team made a big impression on my family and I. I have had other family members who have used this funeral home but this was the first time that I've worked directly with them. This Funeral Home are Scammers. They falsely forged my fathers girlfriend name on his death certificate knowing that she wasn't married nor in a domesticated partnership. Then when my sister and I tried to get her name off The Director Did not want to meet with us she brushed us off and told her assistant to deal with us. They then allowed the girlfriend to have my fathers body dug Back up from six feet and moved to another cemetery where she ordered No one to see MY Father. They tried to make the funeral home All about the girlfriend and my father No pictures with his Us Or anyone in the family where we had to do our own slide show which seemed to bother not only the Girlfriend But the director as well they're scammers and fakes And Will Be Held Accountable For the rules that follow under FTC it's sad and disgusting that they allowed this type of mischievous act and have the nerve to not hold responsibility and it is Unacceptable And I Will Win Against Them read more

We chose here because we had used their services many many years ago for my Uncle. Now that it was my Dads turn, we wanted it to be exactly right. I am thank full we chose Frank R. Bell services. Although the originators have long gone passed, this is still a family business. More importantly, a quality family business. We were answered quickly whether we chose to be in person, over the phone or via the email. They made us feel that we were their priority, even offering assistance via counseling afterwards. They also had do integrate with another funeral home as we were having a 2nd set of funeral services in the south. They made sure that transition was smooth and that even the registry book made it with my care packet at time of change. Bishop Freedland sang and I could have listened to him all day. I wish I could have taped it. The cosmetology work was magnificent! They followed his natural ones and he had such a natural expression. I don't even know where to start.... We experienced every form of unprofessionalism from another service and came to Frank R Bell Funeral Home traumatized but determined to bury my late great brother with honor, respect, and love. During the first ten minutes, I watched the Service Director, Ms. J. Sherman like a HAWK because I was not going to allow my mom to experience any more unprofessionalism after losing her son in such a tragic manner. Ms. Sherman was/is/will be BEYOND EXCEPTIONAL in all areas of providing service. She was professional and courteous from the very beginning. From my experience it felt like we were working with a very intelligent and resourceful FAMILY MEMBER who was organizing our service for our brother, someone who was loved by many far and wide. What did she do? Well she explained every line item as she built out quote for the service. She thoroughly explained all available options, any challenges, alternatives n all areas. She asked questions on a regular basis to better assess our needs and provided us with examples when we needed help deciding. Throughout this process she also kept a balance between discussing the details of the service and even making time to listen to some of our anecdotes of our loved one. I let her know after about twenty or so minutes that I truly appreciated her professionalism and empathy . She organizes services for many people on a regular basis, but she treated us with the poignant care that every family needs during this emotional process. I also will add that she was a facilitator of positivity and respect for all. Even if there is any tension or disagreements amongst family members or other parties involved in the process of planning the funeral, Ms. Sherman made sure to keep everyone focused on honoring our passed loved on and sending him home with the peace and love that he deserves. The service was BEAUTIFUL. I am so grateful we chose Frank R Bell Funeral Home.
