Emagine Frankfort is a great theatre option in the Frankfort/Tinley area! It's one of the newer theatres to open and still holds a nice aesthetic. They have about 16 screens and host 3D and standard format options. All chairs have a recliner capabilities and are leather. They have a bar in the main lobby to order drinks from as well as a large concessions area. The soda machines are the custom machines to let you mix and match flavors. The concessions area also allows you to order food to deliver to your theatre/seat while watching the movie. This is always a go to theatre for me when seeing a show with family in the southwest burbs! Tip: Go to the theatre to order tickets ahead of the showing to avoid convenience fees. This theatre is affiliated with Fandango to order tickets ahead as well. read more

The seating was the downfall here. There is little or no rise to the floor so the person's head in front of me was in my view so much that I couldn't even recline lest there be a giant chunk of screen blocked. The rows are also unnecessarily widely spaced so though not that many rows back was quite far from the screen, which wasn't all that big to begin with. Also, unlike other food-serving theaters, there was no surface on which to set the food. At all. Further, although we ordered 20 minutes before showtime and it wasn't packed, we didn't receive our food until at least 20 minutes info the movie, and it was missing dipping sauces (necessary for the food) so I had fi run out in the middle of the movie to get them. The food was even more crazy expensive than expected Because it would have been like $50 for us each to get something, we split the ridiculously expensive apps platter. I will say it was quite a generous serving size, enough for 2, but it wasn't piping hot by the time we got it & had to run out for missing sauces. Of course beverages were Alsó prohibitively expensive. Would rather have had the food quickly, hot, and before the movie was really underway so we could concentrate on the film. Better yet, we would have liked fi order & eat outside the auditorium but that isn't an option there like at other food-focused theaters. Besides all that, I guess it was okay. Was clean. Went to visit this theater for the first time and was truly amazed and in awe at how ell maintained it was and how mazing the staff was. Great date night spot -chairs extremely comfortable with a lot of room --tables for eating and servers arrive at your seat with your food. THe food is basic theater food but better!!! And keep in mind it is a theater with a great professional team little to no hassle the crowd was nice highly recommend and do visit the bar--didn't take photos as it was dark and I wanted to be courteous to the another patrons but had a blast and this is my new theatre just Emagine that!!!! read more

I usually love this theatre. However, Friday was not one of those times. First, I tried to order our tickets using the Emagine app. It took my money then immediately refunded me and generated an email stating "Oops! Your booking has failed." (See attachment below) I tried to call the theatre, but no one answered the phone. We were still able to get our tickets when we arrived early at the theatre. The manager was very helpful and stated she would file a report with IT regarding the booking failure. My daughter and son were very excited to see Five Nights at Freddy. My daughter stayed up the night before making character costumes for all of us. The problem with this evening was the behavior of 10 middle school students attending the 7:30 showing of the movie. Throughout the entire movie runtime these young men were talking loudly, switching seats, screaming, swearing, and lying on the floor of the theatre. We tried to ignore the behavior but the group was so disruptive and disrespectful. My daughter at one point during the movie was excited by a particular character reveal and shouted " yeah". One of the young men in the group yelled back at her loudly "Shut the fuck up bitch"! WOW. After the movie concluded I brought my concerns to the staff and was told "those young men were here the night before doing the same thing. The security is aware of it and annoyed by their behavior." First, if the staff and security were aware of this behavior why wasn't it addressed immediately? Second, if the staff and security were aware of the disruptive behavior from the previous night why were the young men allowed back in the theatre? I've always had positive experiences at this theatre location and I hope this is not a reoccurring situation. I am very disappointed by the staff and security response to these recurring incidents. Going to the movies should be a pleasant and relaxing experience. This unfortunately was a stressful and unpleasant experience that ruined our evening and a movie me and my family were anticipating and excited to attend. "The whole idea of movies is it is special to go to see--you went to a movie theater to see something that was magical and amazing, in a very special location". Unfortunately, the rude and immature behavior of the young men and the theatre staffs lack of response removed all the magic and amazing feeling of a special location. I recently went to watch scream 7 and then a fire broke out and we had to leave, we went back in and they took 30 minutes to turn the lights off and they didn't even at least pause the movie, they kept skipping and rewinding spoiling the whole movie for everyone. This is my second time going to this theater. I believe when I originally went it was fairly new. I was very impressed with the decor, the bar, the offerings in the concession area. It's a really nice place! The only issue I have is that the bathrooms were disgusting and you can tell that they had not been tended to in quite some time. At the time I was there, the movie theater didn't seem extremely crowded yet the garbage cans in the bathroom were overflowing, lots of the Stalls were dirty, and there was just all types of stuff on the floor. They should definitely work on making sure someone is cleaning the bathrooms regularly. Other than that, I would highly recommend this theater if you are a movie goer read more

This was my first visit to the Emagine. We wanted to try something new. On arrival I noticed cups that needed to be thrown away and a long concession stand line. We stood in line a good fifteen minutes and the menu was confusing. The kids menu was limited and quite expensive. The grandchildren said the frozen icee was gross and my popcorn was burnt. Also the checkout was quite confusing for a first time visit. The movie had started already when we got through with all the chaos. I think we will stick with the Marcus Cinema down the street! read more

I've been coming to Emagine Theater in Frankfort since their opening years ago. The decline of this place is just unbelievable. I used to consider it a true gem, now the place is truly in ruins. I went to see Bad Boys Ride or Die and immediately upon walking in the place smelled like a sticky car seat of a unkept toddler. There was trash and popcorn throughout the entire theater. The bathrooms were so horrid that I opted to challenge the strength of my urinary incontinence. There was trash upon entering our show and of the other entryways to movies. I truly can't express how the place was havocked of filth. There didn't appear to be an employee shortage as we witnessed employees standing around in the filth. I wish this was all funny but it isn't. What's next...bed bugs in the seats? read more

Absolutely amazing! It's one of the best movie theaters around here, like if your ordinary movie theater went to a fancy culinary school and graduated with honors. They've got popcorn flavors that could make a hipster blush and a food variety that has more options than my last relationship. You can actually sit down, chill, and have delicious food delivered right to your seat while you try to figure out if you're watching the movie or just staring at the popcorn! Came here most recently to see the new Star Wars, but I try to come here any time I go to the movies! It's the newest theater in the area, so it's modern and clean. The recliners aren't fabric, unlike the seats at other local theaters, so it's a safe bet they will stay that way. They have a full bar, and about a half dozen "coke remix" machines, instead of just run of the mill fountain choices. In addition to your standard popcorn and candy choices, they have a cooler of other refrigerated beverages (energy drinks, water, etc.) and a ton of other great food options which can be brought to you at your seat. Brought my kid to a Minecraft movie over the weekend, I understand its a kid movie so the yelling and cheering is okay but when people kept throwing ​garbage in the theatre and I got hit on 3 different occasions during the movie, thats when it's an issue...no employees telling anyone to stop. Custom​er service refused my refund on my tickets, I shouldnt have to pay $30 to get hit in the head with garbage throughout the whole movie. read more

Went to see Avatar Friday night @635p The staff there not only are nice and polite and attentive but they genuinely seem to enjoy working with each other. After working in retail for 35 years, I can tell you that a staff that gets along with one another is a staff that will treat their customers right more often than not. The bartender that nice was extremely busy. Yet, she kept track of the order she needed to help people, made polite conversation and suggested beverage choices. Kudos to her. Her badge said one year on the job and they are lucky to have her at the Frankfort location. As a side note, I hired a person who was a former manager there and I can tell you she had a great work ethic and terrific leadership skills that she told me Emagine helped contribute to developing. Emagine is a great movie theatre in a local town. They have recliner seats in the movie theatre and and was very clean inside. We bought popcorn and a drink and they have a a nice deal for $7 get a small popcorn and a small drink. Perfect for individual serving! The setting inside the lobby is nice with a full service bar and fireplace. When purchasing the movie tickets online, I had trouble using the app and the website. I was not able to redeem a free movie ticket I had in my rewards which was disappointing. read more

Emagine Frankfort is a high quality theater showing a combination of the latest movies, family special movies (low ticket cost, classic movie), and unique movie events / series. I've attended this as my main theater since it opened. Movie food and alcohol is available, but it is priced higher similar to what you'd expect with the typical popcorn/treats/drinks. EMX 2d and 3d screens are excellent quality. The standard screen is also great. Some theaters are decorated nicely for special events. The seats are generally recliners and very comfortable. Theaters are large enough to expect reasonable ticket availability, but small enough to feel more intimate. Cleanliness tends to be excellent. Theaters appear to be cleaned after each movie. Bathrooms & the lobby tend to be clean. Food & drink serving areas also tend to be well-maintained & clean. Expect additional bonuses for big events. Examples include special guests, special movie event posters, popcorn buckets, dresses characters, & photo opportunities. It's common to see cosplay on opening weekends here. ((N O T E)) Keep in mind, inside the theater can be very cold, so i suggest you bring a sweater, jacket or a blanket(SERIOUSLY). When I went to see Incredibles 2, I was freezing! Special Pricing is also a plus, each time I've been to this theater I saved money. Every time I've been to this theater it has been for a new realease and the last showing and was less than any other theater of its kind. The first time my ticket was $6, the 2nd time I went, I purchased a cuddle seat for $12. The cuddle seat is for 2 people, you can use it for yourself and a friend or you and your child or you and your gf/bf or spouse. My cuddle seat was in front of the theater and I was expecting it to be uncomfortable because it was too close to the screen, similar to what I experienced at other theaters but it was the only cuddle seat left so I purchased it. Once I arrived at the theater these seats weren't bad at all. I throughly enjoyed the seat and the movie. This theater knows what they are doing. You can purchase and reserve your seats online, and then show your tickets to the person at the door. I found my new favorite movie theatre. I was able to see a movie on a Sunday for $6. Seats were more comfy than AMC's, in my opinion. Concessions were a good value as far as movie theaters go. My wife and I will now by pass AMC and other theaters just to support Emagine. I joined their rewards program and I regularly get free movies and popcorn coupons sent to me. But each time I walk in and try to get just a pop 3 4 employees are standing around they see people and scatter leaving 1 kid to help it's not busy But I should have to wait 10 min each time to get a cup to get pop than go to pay . pop cups were by checkout . now there is no differeance w covid and cup placement . It's frustrating to stand in line for a pop the way it was before we liked . also kind of bad for employees to scatter when people come i'm sure they are cross trained in how to do all I'm frustrated now I'm not spending $ beacause of this which means your business is losing cash . My fiancé and I decided to see the Black Panther Wakanda Forever. We got to pick out seats online and only paid $25 for the two of us fees included for a 6pm show. We stopped at the bar on the way in, myself ordering a margarita with the house tequila which surprisingly was really good! My fiancé ordered a red bull vodka with the house vodka which also tasted great! $17 for the two drinks in a place like this was reasonable for the size of the cups. The theater has the dream loungers so the seating was very comfortable, the picture and sound were absolutely enveloping. Emagine provided the perfect date night for a good price! I would like to see one or two more cuddle seats farther away from the screen, the first row is kind of close, but otherwise everything was well done! read more
