The water is here for your personal enjoyment. Listen as the waves splash against the sandy shore line. They have benches all along the paths to get acquainted with nature . The stillness can be felt all around. The wind blows and grass actually grows here and feels great as you walk bare foot . Sit and swing yourself to better happy. Spend the day with the fam! Let the sunshine your smile back. Hold hands with the one who loves you. The day is yours . It's mine, it's yours all this beauty. You have to experience the water front to see how beautiful it truly is! If you're into the boating scene you can bring your own. Rent a jet ski! Or go for a kayaking trip. Whatever way you choose to have fun on the water can be done here . We just sit and enjoy one another . The splash of the water against the waves. It's a great change to a cactus and rock landscape. Once you go Kentucky you never will go back . If your a girl like me, it was the desert decision all my days prior. My new future is here among the Midwest trees, grass, and fresh air once my body adjusts to the climate conditions of the area . Sometimes the beauty is a short term miracle for me because of the headaches but they will pass . Until the next time we sit and think the water front feels like a lost paradise .

Thank you to the people and community of downtown for not discriminating or just being nasty to others.

However, it is no longer open 24hrs due to some trouble makers last summer. But over all still a safe fun spot, as well as great spot to view fireworks, or walk to Big Four Bridge a few blocks away.

The park is dedicated and named after former Louisville Mayor David L. Armstrong, who was instrumental in its construction. They have ramps, tunnels, boxes, lines, ledges, rails, stairs and of course half pipes and bowls. This park is not only a skate park and bike park, but has been adopted by graffiti artist. There is some real nice art work here. The place is covered in it. The half pipe is about 24 feet high, in addition to 2 11-foot bowls, 2 8-foot bowls, 2 4-foot bowls and a six foot bowl. There is a lot of free street parking available to park and visit the park. I really liked this park. Everyone there was nice and working on their craft. This is one of the better options for skateboarders, skaters and bikers to do what they do, but in a controlled environment. There is an emergency phone on site and you are almost certain to not be alone there. The city did a greta job putting this project together.
