I rarely feel compelled to leave public reviews, but my experience with Dr. Denny was disappointing enough to share. I've seen chiropractors for years and have a strong understanding of my body. During my visit, I felt dismissed and belittled rather than listened to. When I tried to explain what I believed was going on, Dr. Denny responded with a sarcastic remark: "Oh, you're a doctor?"--which immediately set an unprofessional tone. The exam itself felt incomplete. I was asked to move my neck in different positions, but I was never asked to indicate my pain level. When I later mentioned discomfort, he responded by saying I hadn't told him it hurt--despite not being prompted to do so. More than anything, it was the tone and overall demeanor that made the experience uncomfortable. I expect healthcare providers to approach patients with respect, curiosity, and professionalism, and that was not my experience here. read more

Well, it seems I am not the only person who was treated poorly at Dr. Dennys practice! I was severely sick with a respiratory virus a couple of weeks ago and had to cancel my appointment. I received a phone call the next day advising me that I had missed my appointment. When I tried to explain that I had already canceled my appointment the receptionist became very annoyed, and she seemed to not believe me. I scheduled another appointment for today. When I arrived, I searched my entire vehicle for a mask but could not find any, even though I usually have a good supply. When I entered the office, I was met by the receptionist who told me that I needed to put on a mask. I told her that I was aware of that, but I did not have a mask with me today. She told me that I would not be seen and would need to reschedule. I asked her if she had a mask that I could wear, and she let me know that it is my responsibility. Well, I guess they keep their customers in line and if you slip up you get a slap on the hand! I have not been treated this way at any other healthcare facilities. I always wear a mask. However,there have been a few times I had forgotten and was provided with one. It's a common courtesy in my opinion. Needless to say...I did not schedule another appointment and let them know I would be going elsewhere. read more

If you need someone to fix your back quickly so you can get on with your life, this is the place! Dr. Denny is super efficient and I don't think he's ever run behind since I've been there (off and on for a few years). He is pleasant and effective, and has really helped turn things around for me when my back was in bad shape. read more

There is nothing calm or relaxing about Dr. Denny's personality. There is also nothing to indicate that he listens to his patients, he is so full of himself and his 30 plus years experience that my 45 years of non chronic chiropractic visits and experience with my own 62 year old back meant nothing to him. I know when starting with a new Dr. it takes a few times to figure out each other. My first visit achieved little to correct the lower back issue, (I expected that) the second visit did help the lower back but he insisted on adjusting my neck and that caused tingling down my right arm that didn't stop for 3 days, I went back once more for my lower back and again not much good came of that adjustment, I told him about my arm tingling from the neck adjustment and his response was "....well maybe we won't have to adjust your neck today". I had decided not to return but life changed that when I had a rib head pop out (I've had this happen enough times before to recognize all the symptoms) and because I will only be in this area for another couple of weeks I went back to him instead of finding another Dr. He flat out refused to work on the issue but instead worked above it and insisted that what he had done would correct it,(it hasn't) and that it wouldn't have happened if I had been coming in every week for maintenance. My back issues have never been Chronic or needed constant adjustments. He wanted to adjust my neck again and I told him "Do not touch my neck, the last time you did my arm tingled for three days", with attitude he said he would make a note and not ever adjust my neck again even if I asked him to, I told him fine I didn't plan on asking. His fast talking and refusal to listen to anything I said, and the lack of help his adjustments did, and his general attitude are the reasons I will NOT GO BACK TO HIM. read more

I went to Dr. Denny for a quick fix after lifting something improperly. I studied to be a professional dancer, took anatomy and physiology in college, and was injured at the age of 16, requiring 14+ years of care from various types of doctors, physical therapists, chiropractors, and other practitioners by the time I ended up in his office. He did not have time to listen to these facts. Either that or he was not interested. Instead, I was forced to watch a 10-minute video of how chiropractic care works. As I explained, I have been to see a chiropractor several times a year for most of my adult life. I was forced to watch a simplistic video that assumes the viewer has the intelligence of a 12-year-old anyhow--a film, I might add, that was basically chiropractor propaganda and does not take into account the research that has come out since the 1890s, the era in which chiropractics were invented and remain (as you might be able to tell, I only go to chiropractors when I'm really desperate and for a non-chronic problem). I was treated to an additional lecture by Dr. Denny upon reaching the exam room complete with plastic vertebra models. I was not really allowed to speak about my understanding or allowed to explain that he was wasting his time on me--I know what a facet is. The care was competent. This is an in-out-next sort of practice. My neck felt better afterward, and Dr. Denny touted his own proficiency ("Oh, I got that to move so well! Feel that?"). However, bizarrely, I was expected to make numerous follow up appointments. He clearly believes that one small misalignment deserves about 16 follow up adjustments (another desecration of somatic science), and seemed personally insulted when it took me two weeks to return. He took out his frustration on me. I said, "I have a very busy schedule." He replied, "My other clients have busy schedules, and they all manage to come back." Seriously, the whole experience was so bad that I will never return. I know my body; I also know that repeated adjustments have been demonstrated to cause trauma to connective tissue and cause hyper flexibility in peer-reviewed medical literature, which was why I did not take his recommendation to become a regular fixture in his office. For this, he seemed actually furious at me. Unprofessional doesn't begin to cover it. I highly recommend one of the other chiropractors in the area. it's not worth it to get "in bed" with borderline verbally abusive health care providers. read more
