We are probably in our East Brainerd Ace a few times each month and most of the time, there are mostly kids working, that you see anyway. They cannot answer questions related to painting or gardening, or much else for that matter. Even one of the young managers hadn't heard of a particular hedge trimmer we needed. It seems they are out of stock of items that we have needed more times than not. Anything from a Yeti 30oz lid to a Rustoleum spray paint I needed more of. In April, we needed our chainsaw fixed. The young manager I mentioned earlier told us they were too backed up so we would need to take it to another local Ace store- which is across town and far away from our house. We do a lot of home projects and like to keep our home beautifully maintained so we definitely need a good hardware store with knowledgeable employees. Today, though was it. My husband, who is known for being patient and kind, needed a part for our BGEGG. A young employee said he would get the manager...20 minutes later, still no manager. He was in "the back" according to the employee. With other errands left to get done, my husband left the store. After running the other errands, he went back by Ace. This time he waited 35 minutes. This is terrible customer service. No one was telling my husband anything. He was just waiting all that time. So unprofessional and just plain rude. The parking lot is full every single day and I know they do a lot of business. But when you are a customer who needs help with a problem or has questions, the East Brainerd Elder's Ace is lacking. I don't know if there's a shortage of adults or managers working. It is not like the commercial that says Ace is the place for a helpful hardware store. This was my first and will be my last experience with this outfit. I called around and this was the only place I could find a laminate flooring cutter. Their counter person on the phone said, "yes, we have one." I picked the cutter up just before noon on a Saturday. The cutter seemed a little small and it was filthy. I again asked specifically if the cutter would cut 12mm laminate and was told yes. The following morning I started my floor project. The cutter was crap and would not even begin to cut my laminate. Of course they are closed Sunday. Monday morning I returned the cutter and told them not to tell customers the cutter worked on laminate. The counter guy totally didn't care and did not offer a discount or a refund. Stick with Home Depot for rental equipment, lesson learned.

This crew was phenomenal and made the whole experience easy and FUN. They were super efficient yet took so much care in protecting all my belongings, I felt like a genuinely valued customer. The whole process from beginning to end was next level: I'm a bit neurotic, and Clint from the booking team included every single detail I wanted in the notes and made sure my move was set up for success. Anthony on their customer support team was super proactive about keeping me updated, and Anna is a truck driver HERO. The mountains around Chattanooga are a fiasco.... Trucks get stuck and tip over on a regular basis but she navigated the mountain like a BOSS. And the platform..... Extremely disappointed with my experience using Bellhop in Atlanta…read more My move on May 31, 2025 was quoted at $837. But after the job, I was blindsided with a final bill nearly double that -- over $1,800 -- without any real-time communication or approval from me during the move. There was no transparency. I was never informed as the charges climbed. On top of that, the movers showed up completely unprepared, with nothing but a single Allen wrench and no tools or proper equipment. I had to hire outside help just to finish the job. Their disorganization directly caused the delay, not me. Several of my belongings were damaged during the move, including irreplaceable furniture. I submitted a claim and was promised a $449 settlement. But instead of issuing a refund, Bellhop applied it as a credit toward the inflated bill -- and only if I agreed to lift my credit card dispute. That's not a resolution -- that's coercion. I offered in good faith to pay the original quoted amount, which I believe was generous considering I had to finish the move myself and cover the damages. Bellhop refused to compromise or take accountability. If you're looking for a company that values professionalism, preparation, and fairness -- I strongly recommend you look elsewhere. My experience was stressful, expensive, and completely mishandled from start to finish.

The shoes would be pricey if my company didn't offset the cost by quite a bit. I believe they carry a lot more than just shoes but that is all I go for. The location is easily overlooked so don't fly by it. Everyone I dealt with was very nice both in person and on the phone. Also a huge plus is they are open part of the day on Saturdays.
