Despite being tucked away in an offshoot city near Nashville, I was pleasantly surprised by how relaxing my stay was. I stayed alone and felt safe. Our Spring TAMCAR was hosted here. The hotel was under construction so we got that. The lobby changes everyday. Our sink made a horrible screaming sound when you put the hot water on. Like a deafening sound, not great at 6am when you're trying to start the day, to wash your face and brush your teeth. Our toilet also runs for about 5 mins to fill up? Thats not normal. The room says it's set on 60 degrees but stays at 72. We bought a fan from Walmart to help cool off the room. I could look past all of that, but my husband told me not to look at the bedding. So I trusted him until tonight, our last night. Holy disgusting! Bleach would clean all of this!! Why are they not using bleach?! $750 for this is not worth it. I understand that hotels have to reuse bedding, but at some point bedding should be discarded if it looks like this this was the duvet that was on my bed. Marriott, you should know this is unacceptable. The staff was courteous and amazing. My only issue was the betting. read more

We came here for a national pageant. I don't think this was a great location very outdated. The front desk staff was not the nicest. I spoke to Tyler the front desk manager about an issue and never received a call back or email. We continuously found bugs in our drinks that we got from the bar and we were told our charges would be reversed yet they never have... I would come for an event but recommend not staying or ordering anything from the bar. read more

Attended a literacy conference in Franklin Tennessee Sunday through Tuesday of this past week. The hotel was very nice, clean and comfortable. My room was super nice and had two double beds with a chaise lounge, a table, refrigerator, television, and a very spacious bathroom. There was no microwave. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The entire hotel was decorated with Christmas decor. I attended a dinner awards banquet in one of the beautiful conference rooms. The food and service were top notch. It was beautifully done by the hotel. When I return to the Franklin area, I hope to stay here again and lounge at the hotel and adventure out to see other sites. read more

They agreed she is amazing): We would like to point out the fantastic customer service from Erin at the front desk. I could tell she has been dealing with a cold but she was here serving the guests at an extremely high level anyway. Great stay in Frankilin, TN. I recently stayed for 3 nights I booked 2 rooms for my mother and myself. Everyone at the hotel was focusedon the guest experience. I wish I remembered specific employees names to give them a shout out. The front desk listeneded to my requests and offered me options! I even over shared some about the point of my trip. We enjoyed the buffet, the bar, room service and everything was top notch! Housekeeping deserves their own shoutout! They were all so professional and brought this review from 4 stars to 5 stars. The rooms might be a bit dated but the housekeeping staff did their magic and were hospitable when passing them in the hallway. The hotel feels newer, clean, with friendly staff. Unfortunately, you can tell the developer cheaper out infrastructure. Walls are paper thin so you can hear a TON of noise from surrounding rooms / hallway. The AC in the room didn't work great. And the mattresses were not particularly comfortable. I had a wonderful experience at this hotel. The staff was friendly, the place was super cool, the workout room had awesome equipment, and the restaurant had great food and drinks! What more could a girl ask for. I visited last week for a conference. The check in process was really simple. I love how they provide a shuttle to transport visitors to shopping plazas and restaurants within a five mile radius. The driver was really friendly to me and my colleagues and was more than accommodating to us. The conference rooms were spacious and well equipped for a large and small crowd. Although there were two other conferences happening near us, we still felt exclusive. Great hotel! read more

I stayed here recently and had a fall in the lobby area (not the hotel's fault). The front desk people, Karen and Erin, were immediately at my side trying to provide help and they stayed with me through the ordeal. All the hotel employees were super helpful, the restaurant buffet was excellent, the room was spacious, nicely decorated and clean. It could have used more space for clothes though. A really big shout out to Karen at the front desk for all the extra care she showed during and after the incident. read more

The breakfast buffet ($15 I believe, if not with your room) is fine; nothing to write home about, but will get you going in the morning. There's a "Starbucks" sign, but there's not really a Starbucks. It's the lobby restaurant bar, with an expresso machine and a pot of Starbucks coffee behind it. It'll still get your to go coffee on, just don't want you to be surprised. Overall the hotel and room were showing some age. Little stuff like the door lock being temperamental, strips of veneer missing from furniture, gashes in the walls and holes in the curtains. Just things that made you aware that it's a bit worn. The room has a seating area with a table. The seating is a very low l-shape, I found it just too uncomfortable to use, but wife sat there for a while a couple evenings. The only other seating was the desk chair, which is ok when you're working on your laptop, but not for evening with the TV. So in short, there's no comfortable seating in the room at all. Bed and pillows were ok, but by the third night, the wife had severe pains in her neck and back, so I can't call the bed comfortable. Not much drawer or closet space. Enough for a single traveller, or to get by for a short trip I suppose. Ok walk in shower. Not much bathroom counter space, but just enough to get by. Curtains kept the room pretty dark. TV hard bolted against the wall, so no connecting devices like chromecast. Description of media on the web site says Netflix and Apple TV. Yes, Netflix, but no, there's no Apple TV. We didn't love the Hilton next door, but would prefer it over the Marriott (or would find another option) for the next visit to the Cool Springs area. read more

I honestly can not figure out why the Franklin Marriott Cool Springs has some low ratings. This is a great hotel. The rooms are lovely with comfortable beds and upgraded linens. Everything is updated and very clean. Every single staff member that I have come into contact with has been friendly and accommodating. The hotel has an indoor pool and a 24 hour exercise room. There is loads of parking and plenty of seating in the lobby, lobby bar and restaurant. I enjoyed breakfast in the restaurant and was very surprised by how fast the kitchen performed. The quality was exact what I expect from a Marriott and my server was genuinely sweet. I will gladly stay here again. read more

Stayed 2 nights over NYE weekend. Bonvoy member that has stayed here multiple times but not sure we will again. The elevators were dirty and cold the entire trip. Granted there were young hockey players overrunning the hotel that were loud and rambunctious so that may have been a contributing factor. This is the second stay in a couple of months where the toilet kit was broken and had to be repaired during our stay. We asked for the room not to be cleaned but it was cleaned anyway. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious. NYE was incredibly loud with kids running up and down the halls. Again, hotel cannot control children. The worst part was the fact was that early on New Year's Day, housekeeping was knocking on the door and even attempted to come in before we could get to the door. Really? On New Year's Day? Wouldn't you think you might schedule employees a little later on this particular day especially for Bonvoy members that have extended checkout? The attendant was apologetic but at this point the damage was already done. She was just doing her job. We called the front desk to explain that we wanted to leave a message for the manager of what happened and that perhaps they should consider scheduling housekeeping later on New Year's Day. She informed us that she would let the manager know but this was a business day for them and laughed. Not even an apology was offered. Stayed there multiple times and housekeeping has never knocked on the door that early. Marriott is our brand of choice but an apology or understanding would be more of what one would expect. read more

I am retracting an earlier review. Figuring out the shower at 6 am made me cranky but the room and the food and the team here is wonderful! Servers are friendly and I especially like the breakfast team. They're fast and friendly. The salmon was beyond delicious so was the other food I sampled. Stayed one night midweek on a business trip. The location was very convenient to my organization's local office, and near to restaurants and shopping. I called earlier that day to ask them to note I would be checking in late. My room on the sixth floor was clean and quiet, and my sleep quality was good. I had some trouble printing out my boarding pass and the gentleman behind the counter stepped out to help me. Apparently the computer's Windows had just upgraded and it needed to be restarted. My one minor comment is that for the prices they are charging for places like this, they should include breakfast. read more

Overall, this hotel was very clean. I was in town for a quick weekend due to the Nashville rock and roll marathon. I wanted to stay outside of the city, as it was way cheaper than downtown Nashville. This Marriott ended up being a perfect fit! I did book through a third-party. Priceline gave me a 10% discount and allowed me to rent a room for two nights for $100 each evening. I did find this hotel the day of, which I'm sure made a difference. Know that if you do book through a third-party, the hotel does not guarantee you your preferences (I did not know that, but I have had that happened to me in the past). I had booked a king size bed, but when I checked in, they would only give me a queen. I asked if I would've checked in earlier would this have been given to me, and the clerk at the desk said that it did not matter. Truthfully, I am not entirely sure they were telling me the truth that there were absolutely no king beds in the hotel, as the hotel was not crowded... You just have to know that booking through a third-party does not guarantee you any preferences. Truthfully, it was not the end of the world, and the clerk did say that I could possibly switch rooms the following day, if I wanted. PROS: they had a beautiful fitness center and indoor pool. I wish I would've had time to experience more of these amenities! If you need fresh water, fill your water bottle in the fitness center. I was also told that you could refill your water bottle at the bar, but the fitness center was closer to my room. I love the fact that they provide a free microwave in the snack area near the check in. I was able to reheat some leftovers, as there was a refrigerator in my room. CONS: there is no microwave in your room. I was shocked to realize there was also not a Keurig machine for coffee in my room. They had some offbrand, old-fashioned single coffee maker in my room--not delicious, by the way. A perk of a Marriott is that they brew Starbucks coffee downstairs in the bar, but unfortunately, due to the very, very early start of the marathon, 630 was too late for coffee in the morning. I was disappointed (but survived). I was able to get the coffee maker to brew hot water, so I was able to quickly eat some oatmeal before the race. This hotel is a high-rise, so if you can, head to the top for an awesome view. It is about a 20 minute drive to downtown Nashville--but it was one-fourth of the hotels downtown and they have FREE PARKING. 100% worth the 100 bucks. Beds are soft, low to the ground and have tons of pillows. Love the option of a bath or a shower, as I wanted to soak after the marathon. Thanks, Marriott! read more

Here I am at 4:30 am writing a review vs sleeping because these beds are incredible firm. Reminds me of our visits to Mexico. I hurt all over and I am sleepy. That is the number one issue & a deal breaker. The second issue, if you have kids who packed a swimsuit, ask them to pack a full body rash guard or wet suit because the water is cold. My 5 and 7 year olds are not happy about the pool water not being heated warm enough. The pool room air temp was warm and comfortable at 71 degrees. That is the whole reason we came along with their dad, was for the pool. For the price there is no perks like microwave in the room or access to one in the building. The fridge is super small which is not bad, just another shortcut the establishment made. There is a coffee machine in the room but I have not used to make a review. The thermostat does not work well. It was chilly in the room so I set it to 72 degrees. An hour later everyone in the room said it was still chilly. I set it to 74 degrees and an hour later it was still not warm. It would have helped if there was extra blankets in the room, but no extra blanket available in room. These beds are made with thin blankets as if it was summer time. Be careful sitting down on the bed. The bed rail extends out past the mattress about 3 inches and you will bump your leg on that hard. One of our kids within the first 10 mins of being in the room found that out the hard way and ended up with a cut on his leg. It was a surface cut but enough to bleed and need a band-aide. I am so missing the hotel we normally stay in because they at least serve breakfast as part of the price. Not this place. You can expect overpriced hotel breakfast. So what do I have to look forward to tomorrow until Sunday morning when we check out? Some grouchy kids who have two stations to choose from Cartoon TV and Nick on the tv. On the postive side, there is Netflix on the tv if we can remember our passwords. That might be a slight saving grace. The curtains at night are great, I don't know how they will fair once the sun comes up. I moved from the bed by the window and thermostat control that has a fan, to the bed by the bathroom. You can control the fan for low or high. I have it on high to block sound. It works great if your next to it. However, now that I have moved to the other mattress by the bathroom, I hear the people next to our rooms tv. If I could sleep, which I can't because the bed is extra firm and my body feels like it has been beat with a soap bar in a sock, I would just use the sound maker on the phone to drown out the sound. As it stands, sitting up is more comfortable. I'm likely to just run to Walmart and shell out $140 for a memory foam topper to add to the top of the bed. It is either that or be incredibly misserable for the next few days and then spend the next few days after that recovering. Because it takes 3 to 5 days to recover after missing several days of sleep. SO YES, 1 START. Revised next evening: I purchased a topper and the mattress is better. Before I purchased, I did ask the front desk if they have toppers for guest and they do not. I was told all of the mattresses in the hotel are the same. My husband detested the pillows. However, I found them to be standard medium quality pillows for either side or back sleepers. There is 4 pillows per double bed. I also picked up a blanket at the store because the room was too cold last night. Important change from last nights review is the pool water felt fine to me. I was told it was 80 degrees by staff. I do not buy that. But it is standard indoor pool temp that you typically see. It is cold if you don't keep moving the whole time. We all kept chill bumps. This happens in most pools we go to. The pool is nicer than most hotel indoor pools in that it goes to 5 feet. I'm thankful we brought life jackets for our 5 year olds. They enjoyed floating around. The maintaince guy let us in because our key did not work. Super friendly guy. The conference rooms seem nice to me. I love their trim work and choice in carpet. The temp in them was comfortable, as was the chairs. Tables were unremarkable other than they had standard table cloth covers. There was ice water stations up and down the hall that were always stocked with ice water and glass cups. I never seen the cups run out. The people at the front desk were more helpful in person than when called on the phone. I'm thinking I might have pushed the wrong button. Lights are out but it is the second one over in the middle with the two people. I was told to use my room number and last name. That worked last night, but did not work tonight. I called back and was told to go to the front desk. When I got to the front desk, there was no one there that said they talked to me. I was gave a guest password by a cheerful guy who said he was the manager. The guest password did not include my room number or last name. read more

I stayed at the Franklin Marrioitt Cool Springs for the first as part of a company meeting. Because I know the area well, I was expected a very nice hotel and I wasn't disappointed. Checking in was a breeze; however, I had requested a feather-free room and once I got to the room, I saw that it was not. I went back to the front desk and they apologize profusely and immediately sought to fix the problem. While I waited I sat in the bar area (not at the bar, just in the area) and was introduced to Iggy. He came up fairly quickly to ask what I wanted to drink and when I told him that I just wanted a glass of water, he did not seem happy. He brought my water and placed it on the table. I said thank you and he turned around without acknowledgement. Sufficed to say although I finished my water I didn't see him again until much later in the evening (more about that later). After a brief amount of time, I went back to my room and everything was changed to feather-free. The room was extremely nice and wonderfully decorated. Later that evening I met my colleagues for a drink in the bar and we were served by Iggy, who seemed to be having the worst day ever as he did not smile one time. Essentially all he did was point to people so they could give him their drink order. A "thank you" for making the drink did not bring a smile, head nod or anything from him. I have to say that in all my years, he is one of the worst bartenders I've dealt with. The other bartenders were much friendlier so it was not a "Marriott" way. Anyway, enough about him. As we were there for a company meeting we had a couple of different rooms and they were both nicely designed. The employees attending to us attended to our every need and were extremely friendly on both days. I would certainly recommend this property for its meeting spaces. The rest of the visit was great from the other employees, hotel appearance, room, restaurant (Stave, which is a separate review), shuttle, etc. It is a shame that one employee can cause a 5 star experience to be 4 star. read more

Unkept in outdoor spaces and lobby restrooms. Short staffed at the Starbucks/bar area, but the staff that was working were professional and very nice. Spots on bedding and towels. Normally when in the area to visit clients we stay at another nearby hotel that's slightly cheaper - glad they were sold out this time and hopefully next! I believe this Marriott was recently renovated, at least compared to older Yelp pictures posted. My room had a nice, modern feel and was clean rather than the typical drab drapes, grimy carpet, and years of dirty build up in corners, Best part, nice, soft bed that wasn't too soft. Most hotels have beds I can't get comfortable in and cause my right hip bursitis to act up or back/shoulder pain. No issues here, I slept very well! I would've given a higher rating but the sour'tude lady working the hotel Starbucks did not mix well with the usual friendly experience you get elsewhere paying $5 for your morning latte. Was tempted to deduct 3 stars, one for each morning, but the presence of pleasant waitstaff won a star back. First morning she couldn't be bothered to hang up her mobile, and the next morning when out of cup lids, she gave the waiter attitude who filled in while she was in the back when they asked her about a lids! *big sigh* Then she took her sweet time to go back to get lids. She didn't realize she was out the first trip she made? And then she proceeded to fill the lid holder before handing a lid to the waiter for my drink. I guess it's how she likes to be treated as a customer. Who knows?! All and all, nice hotel and nice rooms (walls a little thin). I've stayed here several times when in Franklin. The hotel is updated and modern. The rooms are nice sized. Easy to access from the interstate. The walk in from outside can be a pain in bad weather. When we visit Karen's sister in the Nashville area, we stay at the Franklin Mariott/Cool Springs. Our first experience had the potential to go wrong quickly, but instead turned out great! A regional high school baseball tournament was going on nearby and the teams were staying here, so the lobby was awash in high school boys. Without us asking, the delightful clerk (from Kansas City and had worked at a Marriott I had stayed in there!) upgraded us and put us on one of the keycard-only floors and away from the bustle and noise. The theater is less than 5 minutes from a large movie multiplex and several (admittedly chain) restaurants and two minutes from a Starbucks, so there are some creature comforts nearby. This is my home away from home when I travel to the center of Tennessee. Karen and I give it a thumb's up. read more

Most notably they are totally uninformed about the area and many note they have never even been to Downtown Franklin. That seems to be a simple staffing and training issue woefully unaddressed. The gym is small and inadequate with no views or windows. Housekeeping is friendly and does a nice job. No Starbucks on premises or near but the bar does a decent latte. read more

Stayed here for a wedding weekend and got a good rate. Normally would never pay this much for a hotel that has comparable places that include free breakfast, WiFi etc and are just as nice. We actually tried to book two more nights here but it was going to be about $200 more per night per room. We got two rooms since we have two small kids and like having our own space. It was nice space, comfy beds, etc. one of our rooms had NO counter in the bathroom, which was very inconvenient. We did appreciate the mini fridge but wish there had been a microwave. We ate the breakfast buffet twice and it was delicious, and also ordered room service for lunch one day, which also was good. The pool was cold and there was no jacuzzi, which was a bummer. Would I stay here again? Probably not for this money. We stayed two nights at the residence inn down the street for less than the typical rate, and had a two bed/two bath suite, plus free breakfast and WiFi. It was way more comfortable and just as nice! read more

As usual this stay was excellent. From check-in (fast, efficient, & friendly) to check-out, the service was exemplary. I was able to check-in online and my keys were ready when I arrived to the hotel. This week I had a suite on the 11th floor. It consisted of a living room/dining room combination, 2 bathrooms, a "wetbar" nook, and a huge bedroom. Of course, this is more space than I needed but I loved the room none-the-less. Thanks for the upgrade! The bathroom had plenty of towels and toiletries. The rooms look fairly upgraded and of course the Marriott bed is amazing. I have not had any problems with cleanliness nor noise at this location. This is my 4th stay here. I did visit the Concierge lounge on the 10th floor. It was well stocked for both afternoon snack and breakfast. The ladies who assist in the lounge are most helpful. I have not had a chance to visit the bar but there is live music some nights and it's usually a nice crowd there. Ample parking and close to everything. There is even great space to run/walk after work. Even though it's on a relatively busy street there are sidewalks. read more

Review for the restaurant. Was there for breakfast. This place has really, really fallen off. The buffet is $15 - skip it, unless you are here for endless (and very good) bacon. The buffet was untended and pretty awful. The waitress was unhelpful- they offer omelettes? The buffet is closing soon? Can I have a biscuit that isn't crispy and hard as a hockey puck? No? Really?? How about stirring the eggs, flipping the sausage or stirring the film-covered gravy that's on the warmers? Outside in the fresh garden is a row of dead lettuce. Dead corn. And the buffet is death warmed over. The only way to fix this place is to have management eat here. read more
