Went here for the first time 8 days ago. Had a dip manicure. Sadly a nail chipped in less than 24 hours. I went back and they fixed that nail. On the 7th day, a second nail has popped off, a third nail has chipped and is coming loose so I expect it will come off soon. Several others are starting to lift off. Oh what a wonderful find! Super easy location with simple parking l. We did not have an appointment, and they were able to help us right away. They don't have TVs blaring with the news or some insane program. They don't hand you a menu of upsell treatments, which I love. It doesn't smell like chemicals. This is my go-to! I honestly think they just do all the pedi-goodness but don't charge you for it! I don't know about how clean, I don't think I saw them open any new packages for their tools. Same parking lot as Kroger's. The area aren't well lit so it's a bit hard to see. Came here to try the jelly pedicure. The guy front had difficulty hearing when he asked me what I wanted and I told him jelly pedicures and he thought gel pedi. Over the experience was ok. Could been better. The service wasn't that great. I'm not looking for a conversation with the person who doing my pedicure but it was an awkward silent. I decided to try this salon after reading so many good reviews. I'm not sure if I have different expectations or just got the wrong person but my experience was mediocre. Everyone else at the salon seemed to like the place and were regulars. I called before walking in to ask for a mani and pedi and was told they would have someone finished in 10-15 minutes so I went right over arriving around the 15 minute mark. I picked out my color from a wall with a good amount of options to choose from then I was directed to a chair. The chairs were very nice and the place appeared quite clean so I was initially pleased. But I sat there for a while before anyone actually started working on my feet. If I hadn't called first and simply walked in, I wouldn't have thought much of it. It was at least 30 minutes but I turned on the massage function, let my feet soak and browsed things on my phone. I was offered a beverage which was nice but that was about the only interaction I had until the nail tech came over. She gave me my pedicure and it was fine. Nothing special but nothing particularly wrong either. I was moved over to the manicure area when she finished and she went on to complete the next task while being polite enough. When she was done, I was left there with two small fans to allow my nails to dry when I noticed the clock. It was approaching the 2 hour mark of having been there. She had gone to the back for a bit and returned slightly after my 15 minute dry time ended. Then she conferred with a lady next to us that seemed to be the salon owner. I overheard one price given to her and then the lady got up to look at my nails and gave her another (higher) price. I was ushered over to the counter where I found out I was being charged $80 which was quite a bit more than I thought it would be. I'm not one to complain though so I paid, tipped and proceeded to put my shoes and left. I did ask for two colors so maybe that's why cost more but even so it seemed a bit high. It was until I was showing my nails to my friends that I noticed some inconsistencies but again, nothing terrible. But within 1-2 days, I noticed the polish flaking off. I wanted to return but since they are closed on Sundays, I couldn't. I'm one week out now and my fingernails look about half painted and my cuticles are worse off than before I went. I should note that I got regular polish, not gel or dip. Am I wrong in thinking even regular nail polish should last a week? Or cost less than $80 (or at least explained to me why the price was set afterwards) ? Or take less than 2 hours? If I am wrong, then I apologize for this review. This was my birthday gift to myself so I don't regret spending time or money to pamper myself but I just wish it seemed to have been worth it. read more

I came here for a mani-pedi and was pleased with this salon. It is clean and big with lots of massage chairs. Nothing fancy but good selection of OPI and china glaze nail colors. I picked my nail color and was led to the pedicure massage chair. Tina did a great job. They give you a foot massage with mineral scrubs and oil. The manicure was quick but i was given the mineral scrub for hands too. The nail application was precise and it has been more than a week and it has not chipped so far :) The prices were great compared to the other nail salons around. it was $35 for both mani and pedi which is slightly cheaper than the $40-45 range around this area. I would def come back here next time i need a mani and pedi. Everyone in the salon was friendly and made you feel comfortable. They accept credit card but make sure to ask them to add the gratuity on the card before they swipe as I din't see any place to add later on. read more

I went to this establishment a few days ago with two of my friends and was astonish by the service. I was lucky enough to receive someone who somewhat knew what she was doing and I still ended up with chunky acrylics and bubbles on my nails due to the cheap top polish... My friend who revived a pedicure was not happy and the other who got SNS powder was very disappointed with her nails. They were jagged, none the same shape, and the amount of powder used was different on each of her nails. Not to mention the price was pretty high (I believe 30 for the pedi, 35 for a full set and 55 for a full set of SNS) Overall the staff was very nice and offered us refreshments when we walked in but unfortunately the experience went downhill after that. Everything was clean (employees were wearing masks, plastic guards were up, and social distancing and hand washing were in place), efficient, and every employee was very friendly and accommodating. My dip manicure was perfect. The best I've had in awhile. Perfect shape, wide assortment of colors, and clean instruments. I was clumsy while moving and unpacking my house. I went in a week later with a broken nail. They fixed my nail, cleaned up the others, and put on a new top coat (my nails were covered in house paint) all for free. One of my biggest pet peeves is finding a nail salon that you love only for the service to start waning the longer you go there due to turnover (which I understand can't be helped). I found Franklin Nails by accident one day last year and had a great experience. My favorite part of a pedicure is the massage and there aren't many places who give good ones. After reading the reviews, I made an appointment with Mary on Monday. I arrived on time and said I was there for my appointment with Mary. No one identified herself as Mary, I was just asked to select my polish and gestured to a pedicure station. I asked to do my Manicure first so the Polish could dry while I did the pedicure and someone was called out from behind to do my Manicure, then she did my pedi also. Still no mention of Mary!! Her technique was good enough but she became quite "testy" when I tried to show her a bit more cuticle on one finger. I never got the chance to explain the problem with that finger - and I think I should be able to do that. I shut up and "let her finish" and didn't say much about anything after being put in my Place. The massage chairs and warm towels were a plus, but the foot massage was done with too light a touch. The Polish on my nails began flaking by Tuesday morning and as I write this, 7 fingers are flaking off. I am unimpressed. Let's see how the Polish on my toes holds up. read more

I have been to this salon twice before. Both times I went I was not blown away with the level of quality compared to the price. The prices are too high for the level of quality. Technicians seemed annoyed I was there and rushed through the process. This past time I went, however, was a fine experience and the lady took her time doing my nails. She did cut me three times and I bled though. HOWEVER, the night that I left I realized that my card was never given back to me at checkout. I called the next day to let them know that I had left my card there and I was going to have my mom come by later that day to get it. The next day I noticed that over $100 of fraudulent charges were on my card and that my card number had been stolen by someone at Franklin Nails. I will not be coming back to Franklin Nails because of this. UPDATE: when my mom went to get my card, she said it was just laying around their desk for anyone to take or write down my number. I have been to Franklin Nails a number of times and it seems the service and quality of the work has gone downhill considerably since my first visit last winter. As someone else stated, they are not Un friendly, but they are definitely not friendly! I don't know when people are going to learn that their business would do so much better if they just went out of the way to have a conversation. It's like pulling teeth to get them to talk. I've been in there with at least three others getting work done and not a single legible word is spoke the entire time. It's not a very comfortable environment. The number one BIGGEST issues I found was cleanliness! I was in having acrylics done and it took quit some time so I was able to watch the technician next to me complete two manicures and start a third. After each one, she got up went to the sink with the tools rinsed them in water, dried them off, pulled a sterile seal bag from her desk and re-sealed them in the sterile bags. The items were NOT sterilized. When the next guest came in she reached in the drawer and pulled out the bag, making the client think they were getting sterilized tools! This is NOT COOL!!!! This was a deliberate act as everyone knows what those bags represent!! Not sure how they are for just a mani/pedi, but the work being done on acrylics has been not very good. I have had the acrylic chipping off at the sides within there or four days of them being done. This has never happened at any salon I've ever been to. They also do a terrible polish job. One male technician, I had never seen before, put the polish on so quickly, it pooled and crinkled as it was trying to dry. I have had the acrylics done by Tina and Kenny as well as others. The only one who has done it without chipping was Kenny. It's a real shame because this place is so convenient from my work.
