Just went to pick up a script for my daughter. I waited in line with four people in front of me. Everything was fine. Four people came after me and were waiting in line behind me. The four white men behind me were specifically called to the front of the line and asked if they were "picking up". Since I was ahead of them, I said I am picking up too. The man ignored me and continued to serve the four men behind me until I reached the counter. Another woman walked up to help with the line and got my script. Under new ownership and management now and there is a big difference. The store is no longer welcoming, has become dirty, lacks customer service, the floor manager is dismissive, stand offish, not friendly, seems annoyed all the time, the cashiers are not only dismissive, they are rude, instead of focusing on customers they continue with their private conversations ignoring customers. It's sad that this is no longer the great store that it was under the prior owners. It's a pity - it was a place that you could run into to grab some needed items and met with friendly and good customer service. If you cannot be bothered providing customer service then you should not be in an industry thats purpose is to provide good customer service and to be welcoming. read more

This pharmacy should be shut down!!They are overcharging people on there medication. Every month it would be increased by $10 . That's so WRONG! I would pay $100 for my medication. I switched to CVS and I am paying $20 . I think they are definitely scamming people. Also they are getting some of there medication from manufacturers that are in India and other countries. They are the worst pharmacy ever . Me an my entire family used them forever . They changed and now they are the absolute worst pharmacy . Service is aweful.They dont clean the the rooms they go for days they don't take the food trays back they don't they don't clean out. They don't change your sheets. I was a fall risk so I had to wait for somebody to come get me to put me on a toilet that would take forever one time I thought I was gonna have to go right on the floor. Another time they put the pot up underneath me when I was in bed. Of course I did do my number one but it kinda like spread out on this pad that she put on there so I was where the bed was wet. It took forever for somebody to come get me and help me out. That fourth floor is awful there anyone that's on the fourth floor works as a CNA or a nurse or whatever they do they really need to sit down and talk to these people because they are awful. Some are mean you know the one I had to say like I'm sorry you had to come to work today. She was so damn nasty having to put me up on the potty chair I mean it's unbelievable and I wish there was something that you could do cause probably you know this probably won't go no further than than anywhere else about them girls on the floor. The guy that I only had a one guy he was fantastic, but the girls were they were just terrible they like I saidthey didn't clean me. They did nothing and it's like it took forever to get somebody come in the room nobody wanted to work everybody just ignore you so thank you for listening. This pharmacy is one of the few privately owned establishments that hasn't been taken over by a large retail chain. The customer service is excellent. They recently were closed a few days due to a state inspection and computer software outage. However, they are back up and running and are in network again for CVS/Caremark and most major insurances. I was having trouble getting my prescriptions refilled during their temporary closure, and was trying to transfer them to a new pharmacy just to get the medication. The pharmacist called me after hours once they were reopened and filled the script for me immediately. He gave me his cell phone number and let me in the store while it was closed just so I could get my medication, all the while apologizing profusely for the confusion during their shut down. If you were having difficulty getting through over the weekend, please get in touch with them now that they're open and ready for business. You won't get this level of personal service at any other large retail pharmacy. I can't recommend them enough! read more

I had foot surgery last month so I needed to get a knee walker to be mobile. I rented one from my neighborhoodFRanklin Square Pharmacy. When asked how it operated the girl said to my wife that this is the brake and the seat can be raised. Approaching my home using this walker I turned and it collapsed sending me to the ground, thankfully, on my hands and knees and not on my new surgery. I called the pharmacy for help, and was told that the manager will call back, that was 4 weeks ago and I am still waiting. This appliance did not come with safety warnings or directions. I called a neighbor to come and adjust this thing so it was safe. The steering stop was not engaged and that was the reason for the collapse. This could have been avoided if it was properly inspected prior to issuing. After three weeks I returned it and asked again to speak with the manager.........he will call......still waiting. I am starting a class action suit against Franklin Square Phamacy; mainly against "pharmacist" - Anthony Giordano. Has Anthony denied filling you prescriptions based on HIS opinion (not what Dr with excellent training has written on the script) or what you need, or made you jump through ridiculous hoops on how "he needed", only not to fill it. If you are like me, and have a disability - this is a violation of your ADA rights. Has he talked so load and angrily that others heard your business- violating your Hippa rights. Franklin Square Pharmacy is wonderful! I have an allergy to a preservative found in a lot of medications and this pharmacy was able to make up a prescription for me without using the preservative. The pharmacist told me that it is not a problem for them because they mix compounds all day long--just like an old-fashioned pharmacy. Everyone who works here is very polite and helpful. Before leaving, I was able to stock up on some household items I needed. This is a fully stocked business which, aside from the excellent pharmacy, carries food, discount greeting cards, seasonal items, and much more. I'll definitely be back in the future. read more

Great small pharmacy, it has all you need in a pharmacy plus thr extra medical equipment the big guys dont carry. The pharmacists are friendly and get to knkw you and care. They always make sure any questions you have are answered and they make sure,you understand everything about the medicine you are on. Tgey also catch bad interactions before they become and issue and resolve the probkem before you even pick up your medicine. I'm usually not a fan of drug stores. I like going to CVS or Rite Aide. However, whenever it comes to picking up things for the toddler, the franchise stores just doesn't have it. I found this store by mistake and thank god I did. This is now the place I go when I need things for my baby. They are reasonable and have everything. My daughter sometimes need the nebulizer when the cold months approach. Tubing and mask and everything in regards to that, they have. So basically, in the past if I couldn't find something I needed in regards to medical I would just go on Amazon, but after finding this store I can just take a drive to this place. RACIALLY PROFILED. Called beforehand for diabetic cough medicine for my grandfather. Got there 10 minutes before 8. The lady had an attitude as if she didn't even want to ring me up. She snatched my money super fast (maybe it's just me) bagged me up. The. Refused to give me the bag because she asked to see my ID. Mind you I paid cash. I like the the fact that this is an independent pharmacy. My problem with this store is that they made me feel like a suspect. First, I thought it was because I was a new customer getting my prescription filled. The woman who asked the questions spoke like a D.A. Returning to the store after many months, immediately a young man working there asks "Can I help you?" Unsmiling, he treats you with suspicion (two separate occasions). Very disappointed with the customer service in the Pharmacy Dept. During a phone call, the pharmacy rep was extremely abrupt, borderline rude; until I heard the phone hang up, crossing the line. Simply saying, "Sorry, there's nothing I can do" in a situation that needs expertise/guidance and resolution is the worst line anyone will hear. My suggestion is to provide customer service training and hold weekly meetings; to address patient concerns that went unresolved so that they may be better served in the future. read more

I never thought I would be so impressed with a pharmacy that I would feel the need to write a review. Lol. Paul, Joe and the entire pharmacy staff is wonderful. My dog is on insulin, thyroid meds and several eye medications , the pharmacists go out of their way to ensure he has all of his medication each month. They went above and beyond to get us the correct insulin syringes. I have never experienced customer service like this before. I will give 3 stars because I have had a few experiences here ranging from great to horrible. The first experience looking for braces for my wrists was great, the young man who helped me was extremely knowledgeable and kind. The second experience was a quick transaction for nail Polish. The third was horrible, since I had recently moved to the area and the pharmacy is 2 blocks from my home I thought I would bring my 3 prescriptions there, unfortunately the pharmacy assistant( a young girl) was extremely rude, told me they did not have 2 of the 3 prescriptions and suggested I go to a pharmacy closer to my house since my license still showed my prior address. This turned me off I will not return to have to deal with her on a monthly basis! read more
