That then makes one of the stretching areas unusable. They also have swim team after work and school hours so you are sharing a pool with toms of young kids. It's dirty in bathrooms, the sinks are always dirty, all bathroom floors are wet, and showers are covered in hair. Disgusting! their cleaning people pass over issues rather than handling. Not to mention the fact weights are always missing and we have basketball courts making it so loud your noise cancelling headphones still won't block it out. You also can't get through to equipment unless you cross behind the courts so hopefully you can catch a ball. Also pretty sure the AC doesn't work at all. The one good part is the GM there is always kind but their upper management seriously needs to fix these issues or just close the gym at this point. It's embarrassing

However, the facility itself was in dire need of renovation. - pool: covered outdoor pool that works as indoor pool during colder months, but the condensation is much, you can't see anything. (See pic) - it is like a maze: hard to navigate easily and it reminds you of your public school set up - group classes itself were nice, but the AC AND the fans on the ceiling don't work, so imagine how hot it gets.. like 77 on my group class day. It was so uncomfortable. - if you need tennis or other courts: this is your best bet! They have so many tennis and other sport courts. So choose this location if you like tennis, squash etc. not a good fit for those who just wanna workout in group classes or swim in comfort. $90 a month plus $100 or so for initiation fee. 3. Indoor cafe available 4. Parking is a nightmare. Such a small lot for the number of people it serves. Those who live in McLean should just walk there. Then the walk itself will your workout!

I burped once in…read morethe lobby, which was a normal bodily reaction, and the situation was escalated far beyond what it called for. When the manager, Bill, approached me, I tried to be reasonable. I introduced myself and attempted to deescalate the conversation. That is when he called me a child, said he could kick me out due to my conduct, and told me he would be watching me from now on. Separately, a woman at the front desk named Marina (who handles memberships) jumped into the conversation and brought up an unrelated prior incident where she claimed I had cursed at the front desk before, as if that was relevant to this situation. Both employees came across as aggressive in their tone, language, and body language. I've been coming to this gym for a while, and the other staff members have been great. My issue is not with the gym itself, but with how these two employees handled a minor situation in an unnecessarily confrontational way. I'm sure they'll try to find minor infractions and attempt to remove me unjustly.

Very mixed demographics and clientele here lol. Saw a little bit of everyone but a surprising number of middle-aged and older folks. Came here for the Aescape massage. The pool is also very nice especially since few gyms even have a pool let alone a steam room. One of my favorite aspects of this gym compared to others, is it isn't filled with personal trainers hogging up all of the equipment or asking "how many more sets do you got?" People do give this location a bad rap because of the bring your own lock situation but I personally love it. In the locker rooms, they have a leave your lock section where you can have your own locker each time you come visit which is so nice having extra clothes available. I have also dealt with way more issues with gyms having built-in lockers where they can easily get jammed, and you have to call the front desk on the phone. Is this the best Equinox location I have been to? No, but it still super nice. My one complaint is I do wish that the gym had a little bit more space available. At the end of the day, it's still a great gym, and I'll be back many times.

I shared that I've practiced hot yoga many times at CorePower Yoga, but he immediately shut that down by saying they're "not the same." After actually taking the class, I don't agree, between the temperature, humidity, and sequence of movements, it felt very similar. The dismissive response rubbed me the wrong way and honestly made me less excited going into what was supposed to be my first 60-minute class with him. The studio itself also felt pretty old and dingy. It doesn't have the modern, clean, welcoming feel that I'm used to at CorePower. Overall, it seemed to cater more toward an older crowd and a very traditional, no-frills hot yoga style. Personally, I missed the motivating and encouraging energy from instructors, as well as the music and upbeat atmosphere that make classes feel more engaging for me. This studio might work well for people who prefer a very classic, straightforward hot yoga experience, but it just wasn't the right fit for me.

Parking can be tough if you don't get there early, but there's room on the neighboring side streets which aren't too far away. Typically there's always people leaving between classes so I have always been able to find a stall. The prices are reasonable. Upfront costs may seem high, but it includes the uniform and which they need anyway. Otherwise it's a great price. They also offer discounts for siblings, military, etc.
