The cashier was friendly and I was on my way. When I arrived home I realized that I hadn't been given the correct discount on my purchase. I called and the same cashier answered the phone. I explained to him the discrepancy and he apologized saying, "my bad, just bring the receipt next time you come in and we will take care of it." I'm used to J Crew's usually great customer service so I didn't think about it. Fast forward a week, and I returned to the store. I walked around the store and shopped a little more. I tried on a few things that didn't work. As I was walking around I spotted a pair of shoes I really liked. I tried them on and decided I wanted them. They were marked down and in an area where there were additional mark down on sale item signs. When I got to the counter, I explained the situation with the previous cashier and the woman (Krystal) at the counter said to me it was not on further sale at that point and she stated the day that sale started. I pointed out to her that that was the day that I was there and it was on my receipt. She begrudgingly agreed acting like I was in the wrong. She then rang up the shoes which came up as a higher price than originally marked. When I questioned her about this, she said they were not on sale. I had to physically show her where the basket was that had the shoes in it and she still did not want to give me the sale price. There were multiple shoes in that basket, including another pair of the ones that I got. It was one of the strangest most disappointing interactions I have ever had in a retail store. It felt accusatory, as if I was trying to pull a fast one. I'm not sure what the issue was, but I won't be in again anytime soon. If I do decide to return, I will throughly check my receipt before I leave and you should too

I love that they carry ark&co where it's in Rolando and people don't care about ark&co so it goes on sale, which is a double score for me! Poetry is also another one of my favorite lines that people tend to mark up because of the quality. I don't shop here for customer service, although the girls have become a lot nicer to be from seeing me so frequently and know I always buy when I come in. They have a lot of things I wouldn't wear but there is definitely a variety if you know what I mean, some parts of the store really cater to the el cajon blvd crowd. We were visiting SD for my husband's family reunion and being on the heels of my brother's wedding days later back in the Bay Area, she really came through for us. And amazingly, she understood because her kids are mixed too! She was confident to try and just overnight mail the barongs to us but she ended up accommodating us on our way back home.
