The weekly specials are undoubtedly my favorites, but every item I've had from their menu has been nothing short of delicious! The fungi hot dog (weekly special) is an aberration :-). My only wish is that they had a little bit better hours, but I understand that it's a small business owner and no one can stay open all the time! I've been here many times (and I live 10 miles north). It is always delicious. The owners are nice and service is fast. There is ample seating and it is pretty chill. Maybe this is common knowledge in the vegan world, BUT it would have been nice to know both their cheese and hotdogs were made from cashews. I know with nut allergies being pretty common, it may be nice to have that posted somewhere. Was at a brewery and their food truck was there as well. I was intrigued with their menu and decided to give it a shot. Had the 313 and split an order of cheese fries with my wife. I will say, I ate the hot dog pretty quickly and thought it was pretty good. I must have ate it too quickly as I didn't start realizing there were nuts until I was finished. I was trying to get rid of the sensation in my mouth by eating the cheese fries not realizing I was making it worse. So I just want to kiss these people because their vegan dogs are the sh*t. We tried 3 different types of dogs and the stacked fries, and everything was so good. And I'm super stuffed, too. a new vegan trailer? sign me up. vegan hot dogs? well, okayyyyyyy. truck is cute. and owners are cute. menu is cute, with silly names for the hotdogs, but a simple description follows, so you never have to guess wtf a sweetheart dog is. prices are great ($5-6). ten minutes later, our order was up. nice! the stacked fries are giant. the hot dogs are a great texture, and apparently housemade. the fries are previously frozen, but whatever. the toppings are well seasoned and creative. the coney sauce is a flavorful chili sauce. the ranch is nice, too. my true issue was the queso. it's nothing close to queso (yes I know it's vegan queso, but I've eaten my weight in vegan queso over the years). this queso is almost gravy like, with a gray color, and no cheesy flavor. but that didn't ruin anything, it was more just an observation that I became weirdly obsessed about. today was a vegan hot dog eating contest, so the truck was giving away free beer (lone star, after my own heart). the Mr joined me, and when he tried everything, he simply said, "no shit!" and was pleasantly surprised by this new little vegan hotdog truck. read more

Austin is a great place for a wide variety of foods. However, if there's one food somewhat lacking in representation, it's hot dogs. I finally got an opportunity to try Doggie Style, and the verdict is...Excellent! I don't typically eat vegan, not that I avoid it, I just don't go looking for it. I love that these dogs are house made, fresh, and LOCAL! The Chicago Dog was good size, tasty, and satisfying! Queso fries were an excellent compliment as a side dish, also fresh and tasty! I would definitely recommend Doggie Style and will be back to try another dog! read more

The biggest issue I have with this place, and the reason why it gets a 3/5 in my book, is they don't advertise VEGAN very well. I didn't know it was vegan when I ordered and I found it only says "vegan" in 2 places: on the handheld menus and in very small writing on the truck between the words "HOUSE" and "DOGS". Everything else on the truck and menu suggests it's a normal hot dog place (which is what I was looking forward to).
