I love them but I just can't give them five. Still find random pieces of bone or whatever in the crab or lobster roll. Unfortunately I am very texture sensitive so it kind of blows it for me. Also, need to get some kind of online ordering. It gets very hot in summer. Now that they have good shrimp rolls and I've always had the grilled cheese which is always a favorite. There's always something on the menu that I can eat. And they are very okay with constructive criticism. The one time I had an issue with my grilled cheese they hooked me up next time and I have never had an issue again. The thai mac n cheese have the weirdest description but are fabulous.The service is always great and the prices are reasonable. So delicious! I got the large lobster roll with a side of fries and their apple pie egg rolls. I typically like my lobster on the more buttery side in lobster rolls so it tasted a little more fishy than I'm used but it was still yummy, especially with their well seasoned fries! Whew now for the apple pie egg rolls....I've never had anything like it but it's certainly something that I want to have over and over--2 simply wasn't enough. read more

We have come to quite like this place, and I think have eaten there three Wednesdays in a row now, catching them on Bancroft in front of Patron Saints Brewery. In total we've eaten from them at least ten times stretching back into last year. I've tried about half their menu so far, liking most of it all. But lately I have zeroed in on the perch basket. I've always liked perch, but have a thing against bones in fish, so stay away from perch. But one night I tried theirs and had no bones in it. Plus the breading is incredible! So after the second Wednesday when there were no bones, I declared Wednesday now PerchDay instead! The wife only too happy to hear this, currently she is doing the seafood roll flights. I've been wanting to try RRT for awhile now, and it did not disappoint. Truly THE BEST perch you will find ANYwhere in NW Ohio! It's unique flavor and perfect crunchy texture cannot be beat. However, while the perch is fantastic, so are the fries! Do NOT skip the fries - you'll be mooching off your friend wishing they were yours. We also had the creamy tomato basil soup and The Turnpike grilled cheese sandwich - absolutely delicious as well! We are now definitely RRT Groupies and look forward to our next visit! read more

If comfort food is what you seek, Rusty's has you covered. The portions are very generous for the price. My favorite is the Lake Erie Perch basket. The breading is flavorful and unique, the fries are perfectly seasoned, and it comes with delicious homemade tartar sauce. LOVE the tartar sauce; I actually crave the stuff. The bacon mac and cheese is super cheesy and the crispy topping is great. The fried mac and cheese balls huge and are crunchy, chewy, and cheesy. I recommended the Thai mac balls, which come with a peanut butter and sriracha drizzle. Finally, the fancy grilled cheese with homemade bacon onion chutney is awesome, but I actually prefer the classic grilled cheese. It's just right. Yum yum! It's honestly one of my favorite places to eat in Toledo. I think they have the best fries in the city. The fish is always excellent and not overly fishy. For example, my wife hates fish but loves their fries fish. The hush puppies are wonderful. The fried Mac and cheese is also a delight. The orders are huge too. Really excellent food. I had the crab roll, and it was fantastic. So much better than the competitors lobster roll. Prices very reasonable, and the service was very friendly, and the wait time was not bad either - quicker than some of the other trucks I have tried. Not a huge fan of their fries, but then, that is just me. I would have given 5 stars, except the person taking the orders spent a few minutes visiting with the women in front of me, they were obviously friends, but there was a big line. Okay to do if slow, but not when a big line. This was just a small thing, however, and I will definitely go back, and have recommended this truck to many others. read more

I was looking forward to enjoying some perch for lunch. I purchased the perch basket and I was not impressed. The breading took over the perch and was almost overwhelming. Definiely not worth $10. The fries were good though. read more
