UPDATE: after terrible experiences I went back due to proximity and was again disappointed. They accept cash only (which is fine) but don't tell you the price when you drop off. Leaves the customer guessing how much cash to take from an ATM. Their prices are also arbitrary, change every time you go. I echo others remarks- Over priced and poor quality. Expect dress shirts to come back w poor creases. Additionally, a women's dress shirt is more expensive than a men's dress shirt. I've had a very high quality women's tan trench coat cleaned here and had to take it back numerous times for stains from the cleaners (I.e bleach looking spots). read more

Disrespectful, rude and lack of customer service. Very unfortunate experience with Franks and advise no one to go there. Don't ever "STORE" an item there for "storage" does not mean they keep it. My mother had a beautiful custom made mink made for her in Hong Kong which we stored there. After my mother passed in 2016, I received and paid the storage bill in 2017. I did not have a place for the fur so I kept it at Franks. I never received another storage bill; they did not call me or mail a bill although they knew our address. Last October I called to ask about the coat, pay the bill, and pick it up in November on my trip from out of town. I was told they would get back to me. I called repeatedly and did not get an answer. In November on my visit I finally walked in. Only then did an employee call me back and say that Zachary was looking for the coat, perhaps in Pittsburgh. Again many calls and no return calls. I emailed the storage receipt and last bill paid and an appraisal of the coat (value of $5000) to Zachary. After sending twice he acknowledged he received it but no more details about the coat. Again I called repeatedly and got no where. The phone wasn't answered or went busy or they did not return my messages. I had a friend go in and ask about the coat; they were told they may have "donated" the coat. Finally today, I called and Frank answered. He said he knew all about the coat... "That coat is 50-60 years old and its not worth anything; it was hanging around here for years and you never paid the bill; we no longer have it; you can sue us but its not worth it." Gave them a raincoat for cleaning almost two weeks ago. When I called to ask if it was a ready (a day after it was due) they told me they needed more time because it had some tough stains. Long story short--when I tried to pick it up almost a week later, it was RUINED! The girl at the counter handed it to me without comment, I noticed it had a mottled appearance -- the rain-resistant coating had been stripped off. I would give this place negative stars if possible. I decided to have my grandmother's mid 1970's gown, along with my fiance's dress clothes, dry cleaned here. Right off the bat, I was greeted with an extremely rude woman who priced all of the items I was having cleaned. She tried to charge me almost double what I was originally told I would be charged for the gown, but decided I'd still have it cleaned there anyway. They took cash only, which was kind of annoying. After I left, she called me and informed me I would be charged what I was originally quoted, which was nice. A few days later, I went to pick up my items. A few spots remained on the dress, which was disappointing but expected since it was pretty dirty. My fiance's dress pants still had cat hair on them. I got home with my items and realized that they RIPPED the clasp off the back of the lace neck piece on the gown, and there was now a large hole. I called to inform them of this, and the once again rude woman told me I had to come in. I went in to have it fixed, and she told me it would be a few days before they could send it to the seamstress. The day came to pick it up, so I called to make sure it was ready. Unfortunately, it wasn't. So I had to wait 3 more days. I went to pick it up today and inspected the hole. Not only did they NOT sew the hole up, but the seamstress did an AWFUL job of sewing on the new clasp. It is extremely loose (it's about to fall off) and threads are hanging about. It was clearly done in a hurry and not taken care of. They didn't charge me for the "fix", which is good because I am going to have to do it myself or pay to have another place do it. This dress, besides the dirt, was in perfect physical condition. No rips, no tears, and no loose threads. It was extremely well-made and I'm very upset that they did such a horrible job on it. I would've had them fix the hole (that they didn't even bother trying to fix in the first place) but I didn't want to wait another week just to have it repaired haphazardly. NEVER GOING BACK HERE!
