Ryan was very hands on with getting us signed up and gave us a tour of the gym. Even after joining, he still checks in with us during workouts to make sure we are satisfied or if we have questions. If I need assistance with equipment or questions about lifts he stops what he's doing to discuss/demonstrate movements which is great. The gym has plenty of equipment and space and even during COVID we've never felt overcrowded or unsafe. We're extremely happy with Epicenter and look forward to being longterm member.

When I broke my foot earlier this year, I was never informed that I had the option to freeze my account. As a result, I was charged all year long despite not being able to use the facility even once. When I addressed this with staff, I was told that I was "allowed to freeze my account only once" and that if I didn't extend it after three months, that was on me. At no point was I ever informed that an extension was required. Instead of helping, the staff dismissed my concerns and insisted I would continue to be charged. Planet Fitness has increased fees without notifying members, and the policies--which used to be reasonable years ago--have become confusing, inconsistent, and frankly unfair. The response I received from the gym was clearly written only to protect their reputation, not to help resolve the issue. I remain stuck in a contract I was misled about, and I have paid for a service I could not use due to injury. UPDATE - November 19, 2025 This situation escalated into one of the most unprofessional and disrespectful experiences I have ever had at any business. I brought my 78-year-old mother, who is hard of hearing, to join me for a workout. What should have been a positive experience turned into a complete embarrassment. The individual who claimed to be the manager - identified to me as Rodrick - spoke to both of us with a rude, dismissive, and condescending tone. My mother struggled with her phone, and instead of assisting her respectfully, he barked instructions at her, demanding she download the app, provide her email, and take a photo immediately. She was made completely uncomfortable. We were then told she could not use the infrared light therapy and that only I could. From the beginning, Rodrick made it extremely clear that we were not welcome and could not fully enjoy the amenities. The situation escalated to the point where he told us to leave if we didn't like it. I have been a paying member for three years. This year alone, due to my broken foot, I have been able to visit the gym only twice. For my second visit to be ruined by a manager -- who behaved more unprofessionally than any employee I have ever encountered -- is absolutely unacceptable. My own employer does not speak to me the way this young man did. Planet Fitness has taken my money while providing almost no usable service this entire year, and the treatment my mother and I received was disgraceful. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and I expect Planet Fitness to address the conduct of this manager immediately. For anyone considering a membership: Be aware that cancellations require paying multiple fees, annual fees are increased without notice, and the "all-club access" membership comes with strings attached. Ask many questions, because the information provided to members is inconsistent at best. I will be extremely hesitant to return, and I will call ahead to ensure this manager is not present. His behavior was unacceptable, unprofessional, and deeply disrespectful. Planet Fitness, you have some explaining to do.

The one thing I felt sketchy about is the walk way that connected to a different part of the swimming area. Random men and women would have to cross the room where children were at to get there. His encouragement, humor, and attitude increases your desire to do the best you can do. He definitely encourages each person to push themselves to get the most out of our workouts. Also, my fellow bootcampers cheered each other on when we completed a tough exercise. After my first few sessions, I was sore ... in a good way. It felt great that my abs were aching and possibly less protruding or at leat felt that way :) My arms were toning up after the third week. During one workout, I talked to a fellow bootcamper and she said she lost 15 pounds! Now that's a great testimony. Another benefit is that Antwan can be reached by phone. I skipped a few workouts due to work constraints, and he thoughtfully texted me to join them again. I've only been going for 3 weeks, but it seems like no two exercise days are exactly the same. Also, his trainings are either early in the morning at 5am or in the evening at 6:10pm Monday-Thursday so you can haven't too many excuses for skipping unless you hate getting up in the morning like me ;) but can't get off early enough to exercise. For those of you who prefer weekends, he has a class at 9am on Saturdays. Overall, my experience was very positive and now I'm definitely going back since the holidays are here. However, you only get out of it what you put into it!

When we were there, there was only one staff member watching the children and it was chaos. Anybody could have come in and grabbed a child, or a child could have easily wandered out. I absolutely don't feel comfortable leaving my daughter there and won't be taking her back until/unless this is resolved. Secondly, the Babe Cave area had no air conditioning--or at least it didn't feel like it. It was suffocatingly hot and all the girls there agreed. I walked out looking like I had been in a sauna. The gym just opened this week, so I'm hoping these kinks will be worked out soon. Otherwise, it has great potential.

Now I'm blocked at the door and forced to go to the front desk to be manually signed in every single visit, completely cutting me off from seamless access to the VIP amenities I paid for. Management admits this happens when you cancel, but refused to re-enable my digital access through the end of my paid cycle. They do this on purpose to make coming here a hassle so you'll give up on using the final month you already paid for. Charging full price for top-tier VIP service and then deliberately crippling your access is wildly unethical.
