CrossFit sounds really intimidating for somebody who hasn't been physically active in a long time, but I received all the information I need to succeed. From the day one every time I walk through their door I am being greeted by name. Coaches follow up on my progress, and always encourage me to push myself. There are no pictures of the gym. My review highlights the Most Valuable Manager, James, Houston (Langham Creek) location, that I've come across during the multiple locations I've frequently visited. He painstakingly cleans the exterior gym storefront windows, sills, doors, the exercise machines, refills cleaning supplies, while helping guests with gym amenities, etc. If you don't locate him squatting while cleaning the gym and keeping his head on a swivel, then he's not on the work schedule that day! I approached him once because I needed him to verify whether he was THE MANAGER! It's inspiring to know his dedication and commitment are always center stage for staff and members alike. The staff are super friendly, the area is very spacious, no issues with parking, and the amenities are easy to use. None of the machines were down or out of order. All of the amenities that you would expect are on point such as their tanning booth, Hydra massages, and total body enhancement machine for black card membership holders. One downside is that the ceiling is kind of low compared to some other Planet Fitness locations. As a result, heat built up is a significant factor. Coupled with the fact that there aren't really any big ceiling fans makes for and easily overly sweaty gym session if you're expecting a well ventilated gym floor. Otherwise, it's still very convenient if you happen to be in the area.

April was our instructor and we had a small class of 4 people. Classes are held in the pool. I was a little scared of falling in the water and everyone did at one point but we mostly stayed on the boards doing the various yoga poses. The class was about 50 minutes long and very well worth the cost of 45.00. We were able to tighten the tether to keep the boards from shifting so much during class. They offer other dates and times and also Pilates.
