I drove 4 miles in hope to pick up a delicious meal. After driving for almost 9 hours in the day, I was disappointed! I specifically asked for a steak and cheese with no mayonnaise and only veggies and cheese. Tried to avoid the usual fast food joints on my trip and siri directed us to Franks. Easy to find, reasonably priced, and the cheesesteak sub with mushrooms was so delicious and absolutely massive. Our server was really friendly and polite. I wish this place was closer to my house! I'll try and stop here again if I'm ever nearby. read more

It was fine since there is not much around the area, but I would not go out of my way to eat there again. The pizza was very mediocre.

They took a while but happily the 2 cheese slices I had were pretty large. Unfortunately no red pepper on the table & no oregano. A little hard to find the place but worth it. The prices are reasonable. read more

Frank's was the perfect alternative to the ubiquitous I-81 fast food options on a long day of driving. As dinnertime approached, we decided we didn't want yet another meal of fried-fried-fried. So, we checked our location, found Frank's was not far off the highway, and called ahead to order a pizza so that it would be ready when we arrived. The friendly server didn't even take my name - "Just tell us when you get here that you called ahead and we'll take care of you," she said. It was dark by the time we exited I-81, and we were unfamiliar with the area, so we had our iPhone map queued up. We were pleased to note that Frank's has signs directing travelers to their restaurant - it was easy to find and only a minute or two from the exit. True to her word, our server seated us immediately and brought us our hot, fresh pepperoni pizza and some icy-cold sodas. We ate a few pieces, asked for a box for the rest, and were in and out in about as much time as it would have taken to navigate the drive-thru window of a fast-food chain restaurant or order a gas station sub. The service was friendly and fast, the food exactly what we wanted, and the experience was great. We will remember this place on our next drive on I-81! read more

Chicken cheesesteak was wonderful (again) and the kids all loved their pizzas, calzones and eggplant parmesan. Large portions and leftovers.

This was a great find, and it's thanks to Yelp that we decided to stop here. We were driving back from Tennessee and weren't really familiar with the area. The wife did some searching on websites for local spots of high repute and came across Frank's. She confirmed the feedback on Yelp, though, and that's what compelled us to stop here for a late lunch. First of all, 3pm on a Sunday afternoon should be a quiet time, which it was, but that normally translates into less than decent service and food quality. Not so at Frank's. Everything was top notch, and the service was both attentive and friendly. The food was great. For $5.95, you can order a foot-long sub, something like the meatball that I had or the cheese steak my wife got, and be more than full by the time you leave. It's far better than your standard "five dollar footlong" fare, though. The bread is local and freshly delivered, and the ingredients are made in-house, not shipped in from a processing plant halfway across the country. I wanted a simple, decent, filling meatball sub, and that's exactly what I got. Very tasty, very filling, and very reasonable price. Ditto for the cheese steak. The little one had a personal pizza. Which is hilarious, since it measured about 12 inches across, and that's a conservative estimate! Seriously, a personal could easily have fed two grown adults, maybe three. It was huge! The pizza itself was good, but there was something about the crust that didn't quite sell me entirely. It was a bit tough, maybe, something about the texture. Anyway, it was still good, though. Sauce was decent, and the cheese was ample and tasty. Overall, very good. I'd definitely stop by here again if I'm traveling through. If I lived nearby, I'm sure I'd be a regular. I wish there were more signs around, though, since it is listed on the blue amenities sign on the highway. It doesn't really give you much direction beyond that, though, and you cannot see it from the road it's off of due to the divided highway and hill. That wasn't very helpful, but I'm still glad we found it. read more

What a find! I got the spaghetti with red sauce meal that included a salad and garlic bread. Salad was lettuce, cucumber, and tomato with your choice of dressing. Garlic bread was a huge portion. Spaghetti was also a large portion, and so dang good. I ordered a cannoli to-go for dessert & it was also fantastic! Will definitely be back during my travels! read more

At first-glance, this is your typical pizza joint in the middle of nowhere. It is on top of a hill, and so it is very easy to miss if your not looking for it. The inside is about what you would expect...cheap chairs, cheap furniture, etc. However, the food is very good and very affordable. Very large portion sizes, great subs, great pizza. Also has a decent selection of beer available. So if your looking for a $7 sub, or a $12 pizza that tastes like it should cost twice as much, Frank's is a pretty sure bet. read more

Stopped here on way to dc. Food was fast. Kids and husband got pizza by the slice. Crispy and good size slice for 1.95. I had salad ( antipasto ) which was 8 dollars. I wish they had a great homemade dressing. Tried ranch and Italian (store bought). Salad was good though with plenty of meat. Hit this place for lunch on a return trip from San Antonio. After 20+ hours of driving, Franks was a welcomed treat. We ordered a large pizza, extra cheese, and jalapeños to go. We're back on the road in 15 minutes. Pizza was outstanding. Thin crust that flops perfectly with the extra cheese. I loved the sauce.......tomato flavors were abundant. I'll hit Franks again when driving through. Blows fast food options away. Restaurant itself is very plain--don't expect a great dining atmosphere. It's very simple with good pizza. read more

Frank's pizza is a great stop if you are looking for delicious pizza and a very rural atmosphere. The prices are okay, and the portions are huge. By huge I mean I ordered a personal pizza and it lasted me through brunch, dinner, breakfast, lunch, and dinner again. It should be noted that my stomach is not huge. My only complaint is the speed of service. I understand that the food needs to be cooked, but I still felt that things moved a little too slowly. I have always liked Frank's Pizza and everything that I have ever purchased from them however, just this evening I ordered a calzone for carry out and when I picked up my order I asked about the sauce for it only to be told that is will cost me an additional $1.15 ..... for freaking sauce for an item that I purchased. It is not like I asked for "extra" sauce, I only wanted enough sauce to dip my calzone in, which I have received in the past when I ordered a calzone. Why am I being charged now? Do you charge extra for dressing when people order salads? It is the same thing! Had I not already paid for my order I would have told them to cancel and keep it. That is ridiculous. No matter how convenient you are to my home I will never order from Frank's Pizza in Fairfiled again. Done! It's 2 ounces of freakin' marinara or spaghettie sauce for a calzone for crying out loud and you want to charge me extra for it! read more

On are way to DC stumbled on this place. Looked like this meal could go either way parking next to the car wash in the middle of the parking lot. Adult drinks where very inexpensive- can't remember the last time I paid only $2.80 for a glass of wine- and it was decent. Deepdish pizza, salads and Fetichini Alfredo was especially good.
