Great food and the owners always make ordering from them a pleasure. Whether it is pizza, a sandwich, or an entree. You won't go wrong.

Personally, I thought the sauce was way too salty and more of the consistency of soup. It does come with a choice of salad (caesar salad or house) or soup (chicken noodle, French onion, and I think there's one more option). I got the Caesar and thought it was pretty good, I really enjoyed the dressing! The French onion soup also exceeded expectations. It was well seasoned and very cheesy. Overall, the food is decent/standard but a good deal! The restaurant has plenty of outdoor seating with string lights to enjoy the warm weather. The inside is a little more dim and has a classy tavern vibe. Relatively large restaurant that can probably seat large parties. Service was good and everyone was nice.

But when food came out, the cheesesteak without roll that I ordered was very little meat, like only half a cheesesteak. The gnocchi was under done and doughy like they didn't wait for it to float. Flavor was flat. Then when Bill came we were charged $91 for the 2 gnocchi dinners. The waitress's response was Well gnocchi costs more. The menu said $19 each for gnocchi with gorganzola sauce and we asked for it with marinara sauce. We were given a second bill that showed two pasta dishes at $15 each and 2 "open food" at $6 each. When we questioned the waitress again, she said Well the gnocchi costs more and that was the upcharge. That's the last time us 4 customers will ever eat there. Sharing on social media.

It came with two kinds of meats, two cheeses, olives, and roasted red peppers, which felt pretty underwhelming but u suppose reasonable for the price. The stuffed mushrooms were actually very good flavor wise, but unfortunately they arrived lukewarm. The garlic knots, however, were heavenly! easily one of the best parts of the meal . The meatballs were average but good. nothing memorable, and the calamari was nothing special either as the fish to batter ratio was off and left it a bit disappointing. For entrées, my mom's Shrimp Scampi & Linguini was overcooked and slimy, which was a letdown. My dad did enjoy his Rigatoni Pesto & Steak, so that was a highlight. The house salad was again nothing special, and my grilled chicken was burnt and unpleasantly sour. The fries were good (as fries usually are), but it was strange that the only condiment offered at first was ketchup. After asking again, we eventually found out they did have mayo. Service was mixed. Our server switched halfway through the meal, and drinks took a while to come out. Both servers were sweet and attentive, but they weren't very proactive about dealing with or asking the kitchen about simple modifications. That said, it was late and close to the end of the night, and as someone who works in the restaurant industry myself, I understand how that can be tricky. Given the circumstances, they did a decent job, and we made sure to tip well because we appreciated their effort. Dessert was definitely the strongest part of the meal. Everything we tried was delicious from the chocolate cake which was rich, fudgy, and mouthwatering, and the cheesecake and cannoli were just as good. Was also nicely busy for the later time we were there so i recommend making a reservation. Overall, From the Boot was fine, with a few highs and misses. Not terrible, but not particularly impressive either.

Very impressed with their food…read more Chorizo egg roll with chicken in it was fiery and delish. Beef Brisket with Alabama BBQ White Sauce was exceptional on a brioche bun. I had a bite of the monster chicken tenders, which were very good, however buyer beware they are a bit on the spicy side. The tenders came with waffle fries that are always a good bar food accompaniment. I also had a bite of their house made falafel wrap. It was very good, we did not get the one that comes with a bit of heat in the form of Harissa Paste, however I would be up to possible try it another time with the Harissa addtition. They have an extensive beer list as well and I ended up getting a 16oz for $5 bucks after receiving $2 off as it was happy hour 4pm-6-pm Tuesday through Thursday. The beer was good, no complaints. They also have some very interesting looking desserts however I did not have any room left to indulge. I would definitely come back and recommend you try some of their food items. We had looked online and found a restaurant that featured burgers. We were walking to it when we passed Cantina Feliz. It was busy (which I interpreted to be a good sign) and looked very inviting. We decided to change plans and try this Mexican restaurant instead! Of course I always start a meal at a Mexican restaurant with the guacamole. Our server recommended the Esquites Guacamole, which has grilled corn, lime aioli and a sprinkling of queso fresco (traditional Mexican cheese). It was one of the tastiest guacamole dishes I've ever had!! The grilled corn added such dimension and flavor - and the chips were warm - I think that was the first time I had warm chips - it made it extra special! For our entrees, we ordered the Grilled Shrimp Tacos and the Steak Fajita Tacos. The Grilled Shrimp tacos were excellent - large tender shrimp, with a corn salsa, avocado, peppers and a chipotle sauce on the side. I added a little of the Esquites Guacamole and enhanced the flavor even more! Next up, the Steak Fajitas. As soon as I had my first bite, I was disappointed....the steak was so tough and rubbery, there were pieces I couldn't swallow. We told the server and he said he would speak to the manager. They agreed to take the fajitas back and remove them from our bill. Our server was great. While it was unfortunate the steak fajitas were not good, it didn't diminish the fact we thoroughly enjoyed the other two dishes. We will definitely return to Cantina Feliz - however, we'll pass on the Steak Fajitas.
