I travel from Oreland to get a hoagie at Tony's Pizza Palace. I cannot find another hoagie to compare with Tony's. The ingredients are always so fresh and tasty. The rolls are the best. I think it is worth the time to go to Tony's for a hoagie. I am handicapped, and the people at Tony's are so accommodating. I've lived in North Wales for 10 years now. I'm an expat to the burbs from Philly. My wife is from a small town in NEPA. I've moved quite a bit and learned that finding a good mechanic and pizza joint are essential. Still working on the mechanic, but definitely landed on a good pizza joint - Tony's. Are cash-only purchases inconvenient at times? Sure, but you should probably consider that all businesses that take cards pass those fees onto you. There are also some critics in these reviews that find the reception to be sometimes cold or even rude. My wife was of a similar opinion, at least initially, but now demands a veggie pizza weekly. The truth is, they have the best pizza in at least the 10 mile radius of North Wales. I know this because they go on vacation every year for the month of August and while, at first, I used this time to explore other pizza places to see what I was missing, I've never found a better place to get a pie. read more

Old school, salt-of-the-earth style pizzeria. Pizza is excellent, cheesesteaks are almost too large, orders are quick, everything is tasty. The owner answers the phone in a deep Italian accent. The menu remains one of those little black letters pushed into a backlit, Coke-provided plastic display hung over the side wall. There are faded posters of Italy on the wall. But the food is great. Very nice family business. Everyone was so nice and welcoming. The owner obviously works hard and takes pride in his work. We all enjoyed the pizzas (Black Beauty & Pepperoni). Their fries are great! Stopped going here years ago over the obnoxious behavior of the owner's adult children. They acted like the place was their living room and fought with each other constantly and treated customers rudely. Even though the rudeness was never directed towards me personally, it was uncomfortable to even be around. Was a shame because the food is decent and the owner is a very good man. Called today because a lot of pizza shops are closed. Regretted it immediately. Woman on the phone answered with "Yes, we are OPEN!" She was clearly agitated and screamed in my ear. I said, "Ok? I'd just like to order a large plain pizza with oregano and crushed red pepper for pick up." She angrily told me I can put the crushed red pepper on the pizza myself when I come in as if I asked her to do some menial task she has no time for. I said I'm just picking up - not dining in and asked if they can put it on so I can just pick it up. She didn't even give me a yes or no reply, she just repeated herself telling me I can put the crushed red pepper on the pizza myself when I come to pick it up. After reading the reviews, we decided to give this place a try. The place is comfortably small, with tables lined against the walls and placed in the center of the restaurant. Two soda coolers sit by the leftmost wall near the back while piles of pizza boxes sit on tables that are against the rightmost wall. Small replicas of the Italian flag are strung up to the ceiling right above the ordering counter and a shelf holding chips sits in front. We ordered a large pie that's half plain and half sausage. We also ordered a medium eggplant cutlet sandwich. The medium eggplant cutlet sandwich is not medium. It looked large! The crust is nice and crispy but it was a little salty. The pizza was ok but it was a bit soft. The bottom of the pizza crust didn't look the usual golden brown we'd get on a typical pizza. I thought that the oven wasn't preheated long enough but Hubs said that they didn't put that much olive oil. But, it was hot and tasted ok. We brought home the leftover pizza and reheated it with a little bit more olive oil and the crust was great. Hubs thought that the pizza could've used little more time because it came out soggy. But, it was good when it was hot. Service was friendly and quick. The woman owner was extremely nice and courteous. Will try other pizzerias in the neighborhood, though. read more

Great family run joint in North Wales. They offer a lot of stuff that's good but their pizza is our favorite. I highly recommend this place. If you're going to order from them, three bits of advice: 1) Because they're so popular, they get really busy on Fri and Sat nights which tests their ability to keep orders straight. They got ours partially wrong a couple times so double check before you leave with your food. When it gets Ike this, they will unplug their phones to catch up!! Hate to think of the $$ they're missing out on. 2) Remember your order number when you pick up. 3) THEY ONLY TAKE CASH!!! LOL, worse comes to worse you can use the ATM they have inside. read more

I left a review Friday after my terrible experience and was surprised to see that it had been removed so let me reexplain how my experience went. I ordered 2 pizzas and fries. When I got there I was told that they gave my one pizza away and it had to be remade. A bit inconvenient but I get accidents happen. So I waited. When we got home that pizza wasn't cooked all the way and was doughy. The other pizza was supposed to have light sauce and did not. I waited a little while to call bc it was a Friday and they were busy but when I did call the woman that answered the phone possibly had the worst customer service skills I ever experienced. After I told her I was a first time customer and was unhappy she said well you obviously ate it. Then told me that they don't care about new customers bc they have plenty of regular customers and hung up on me. I have told every person I come in contact with what a terrible experience and how nasty she was. This first time customer thinks they suck! read more

Pizza is good! It's a bit pricey for a large pan with lots of toppings compared to others, but worth the splurge once in awhile. I went during the covid season where masks are mandated and the stay at home order continues with a few concerns: 1) they did not have a method for customers to remain 6 feet apart (customer without a mask came up right next to me while I was paying, so I jumped 6 feet to my left). 2) none of the employees had masks or gloves on although there was a sign mandating everyone to wear a mask I probably won't go back to this restaurant until they prove to have better protection strategies during this pandemic. 5 stars This place is fantastic and as it turns out the owners are from a neighborhood in New York City that I grew up in. I got the same quality and taste that I used to get and I'm spoiled from where I grew up and where I went to for pizza.
