The food here is great! I don't think I've ever seen a bigger piece of chicken in chicken parmesan ever! It was so good like how the restaurant is split into the restaurant portion and then the bar portion. This restaurant has plenty of options, and the early bird menu is a great option too! Overall this place is definitely worth coming back to time and time again!

Poor service, food was not good, and most of our meals were cold. Drinks were weak. Extremely cramped due to too many tables,

Bar food. Big portions. Nice service. Loud as most bars are. This was a lunch meal. Not sure I will return.

Cute local restaurant in Ambler. I got the spaghetti and clams in white sauce. The noodles were…read moreperfectly al dente and the clams were nice and chewy. Personally, I thought the sauce was way too salty and more of the consistency of soup. It does come with a choice of salad (caesar salad or house) or soup (chicken noodle, French onion, and I think there's one more option). I got the Caesar and thought it was pretty good, I really enjoyed the dressing! The French onion soup also exceeded expectations. It was well seasoned and very cheesy. Overall, the food is decent/standard but a good deal! The restaurant has plenty of outdoor seating with string lights to enjoy the warm weather. The inside is a little more dim and has a classy tavern vibe. Relatively large restaurant that can probably seat large parties. Service was good and everyone was nice.

When you hear someone e say it's like leather, this is what they're talking about--although I don't think I ever thought about it regarding chicken. I had about 3 bites and could not eat any more of it. Incredibly disappointing. My dining companions' meals were fine, just fine--nothing that stands out, though. We had a good server. Ambiance was fine. But we came for the food, and we left disappointed. We will not be back.

We decided to see a movie in Ambler and looked for a good restaurant to eat at before the show. We…read moreselected From the Boot, as my partner had eaten there before and she said it was good. We started with bread and garlic knots. The bread was okay, but the garlic knots were great! I hadn't had them in quite awhile, and was very pleased with the taste and texture. Next up, the meatballs! I'm a meatball guy, and was quickly disappointed with the texture and flavor of the meatballs. They were small and not that tender. I tried a different meatball to see if it was similar, the texture was different and very grainy, to the point I couldn't eat it! I hadn't no idea why the texture was so 'grainy'. I would like to point out the marinara was delicious. We left the remaining meatballs, and mentioned it to our server - the Manager came over and was very understanding. We weren't charged for the meatballs. The next appetizer we ordered was the Eggplant Rollatini. It's is a simplistic creamy classic Italian-American dish. Thinly sliced eggplant rolled around ricotta cheese, then baked in a rich tomato sauce with mozzarella cheese. It was a good appetizer as I mentioned before, in a great marinara. We shared the Chicken Parmesan with Spaghetti for our entree. It turned out to be the star of the meal! It was a perfectly crispy golden brown chicken cutlet, with marinara and bubbly mozzarella cheese. The cutlet was tender and juicy, covered with the same wonderful marinara. While we were a little apprehensive after the meatballs, the rest of meal was very good and From the Boot will be worth a revisit.

We got the chicken Francese and the salmon which were both delicious. The staff was super friendly and attentive. Storms were coming in as we were finishing up and they offered seating inside which was so nice! Bonus points for the garlic bread that came in the bread starter.

I am not disqualifying their experience but it is very odd it was so different. It was a hot, humid, rainy Saturday and the A/C was just fine when we got in. I will admit my first view through the door was a little hesitant but push on in and it was fine. The design goes for a comfy industrial setting. They have a good selection of beer and cocktails using a lot of local producers so there is a wonderful chance for you to find what you want to drink. The prices on the menu looked a little steep but the servings were generous and the food was very good. I had the best wings I've had in a long time with a nice crispness to the skin. My wife and I had a good time and found it lots of fun. If I was going to suggest a change it would be some sort of uniform for the servers. Hypsters in comfortable clothing fine but the issue is they blend in with some of the customers. I was talking to one guy thinking he was a server. It's one thing to be comfortable but professionally you need to stand out from the customers. but otherwise, this was a great time.

She poured us warm water (seriously!) and took our drink orders. We waited another 15 minutes for 3 of the worst mixed drinks. Turns out they had 2 novice bartenders working that didn't know what they were doing. (From our server's mouth!) We paid our tab and left for much better establishments down the street.

We had looked online and found a restaurant that featured burgers. We were walking to it when we passed Cantina Feliz. It was busy (which I interpreted to be a good sign) and looked very inviting. We decided to change plans and try this Mexican restaurant instead! Of course I always start a meal at a Mexican restaurant with the guacamole. Our server recommended the Esquites Guacamole, which has grilled corn, lime aioli and a sprinkling of queso fresco (traditional Mexican cheese). It was one of the tastiest guacamole dishes I've ever had!! The grilled corn added such dimension and flavor - and the chips were warm - I think that was the first time I had warm chips - it made it extra special! For our entrees, we ordered the Grilled Shrimp Tacos and the Steak Fajita Tacos. The Grilled Shrimp tacos were excellent - large tender shrimp, with a corn salsa, avocado, peppers and a chipotle sauce on the side. I added a little of the Esquites Guacamole and enhanced the flavor even more! Next up, the Steak Fajitas. As soon as I had my first bite, I was disappointed....the steak was so tough and rubbery, there were pieces I couldn't swallow. We told the server and he said he would speak to the manager. They agreed to take the fajitas back and remove them from our bill. Our server was great. While it was unfortunate the steak fajitas were not good, it didn't diminish the fact we thoroughly enjoyed the other two dishes. We will definitely return to Cantina Feliz - however, we'll pass on the Steak Fajitas.
