Frannie's Cones and Coffee is a charming shop in downtown Prescott near Whisky Row. It's most known for their ice cream which was incredibly creamy and perfect for summer evening! The shop itself is adorable with nostalgic car-themed signage and memorabilia. Additionally, the service was extremely friendly! We tried the espresso chip ice cream, and it was a huge portion that was so delicious and creamy (good texture without icicles)! Where Frannie's seems to overreach is in terms of the offerings. Their menu includes ice cream, shakes, frozen yogurt, coffee, baked goods, and bubble tea drinks. Based on the prior reviews, seems like this is a great spot for ice cream, shakes, and coffee. However, reviews for bubble tea are consistently negative and reviews for baked goods seem to be variable. Things to know: - there's a discount for paying with cash per some recent reviews. I hadn't noticed this when visiting - parking is easy unless there are events going on in the courthouse plaza - portions are huge! Stopped by for some ice cream over Memorial Weekend. Such a cute little shop. We were greeted immediately and given samples to taste of the flavors. We ordered the shrimp fajitas and they were delicious!! The homemade warm tortillas are a wonderful welcome to a fajita meal! Our waitress was very friendly and her service was excellent. The vegetables and shrimp were fresh and not overcooked. Not a fancy restaurant but very tasty food! I highly recommend! read more

Cute ice cream shoppe. Lots of flavors and friendly staff. Line was a bit confusing to navigate on how they assist customers from the middle of the counter. It was a bit chaotic but also a good problem to have for the establishment being so busy. The child scoops came out heaping so I can't imagine ordering more than that size. Love this spot! If you're walking around the square and need a sweet treat, this is the place. We were in town for Memorial Day Weekend and despite the crowds from the art show, the service was still so fast. The ice cream was so thick and smooth. I loved that the rocky road came with the marshmallow swirl instead of just pieces of marshmallows. So so good!!! What a cute place! read more

Horrible service, ordered a coffee and it was made completely wrong and then when I asked about my order the barista yelled at me and refused to remake it. Service service service !! This place was not our first pick. We had walked whiskey row earlier in the day with our kids and had found a treat store on whiskey row. We told them if they are good dinner we'd go back. Well at 645pm after dinner we went there and found it to be closed. Our kids were disappointed so we looked up the next closet ice shop to our hotel-FRANNIES popped up. My son chose their frozen yogurt soft serve with the several toppings to choose from. There was a sign to sanitize before serving or gloves available upon request. My daughter had a scoop of rainbow sherbet and my husband and I split the Cookie Monster Shake. All of it was delicious! Best part of our night was the two young ladies working that night. They were so sweet-my kids asked about the disco balls in the corners of the room. I swear scooped ice cream just tastes better in small towns. Stopped here today to get ice cream for my husband and I. Got my husband cookies and cream with Reese's pieces, brownie bites, and Oreos. He loved it! I got mint chocolate chip in a cone. I hadn't had mint chip in a long time, this one was really good. We got the kids size, and it seemed like a lot of ice cream, I couldn't even finish mine and I have a pretty big appetite! My only complaint was that I did have to wait a while to get my ice cream even though there was no line because the girls working there were busy talking lol. Frannies has a good variety of frozen yogurt, with a couple of tart varieties and also at least one dairy free. I do wish that they labeled their yogurts for dairy free and gluten free as you have to ask the staff and on multiple occasions when I asked, the staff did not know the answer and didn't seem to know how to find out. The shop should have a cheat sheet for the staff to look up each flavor. On this trip I decided to try the Tropical fruit açaí bowl. The açaí base was good and thick and overall a good size though it did melt quickly. It was topped with pineapple and banana and included a lot of granola. The staff could not tell me if the granola was gluten-free, which was disappointing, also it didn't have any mango which was listed on the menu, maybe they were out of mango or perhaps she forgot. I didn't notice the omission until I had already left. Overall, I will continue coming back from time to time for the tart yogurt flavors, but will skip the bowls until I find out if the granola is GF. read more

Had a delicious oat milk cappuccino at Frannie's! I was very impressed by the coffee since it is mainly an ice cream shop. It was a little bit confusing on where to go to order; where I stood was apparently not correct since a worker started helping someone who came after me. This is what an ice cream parlor should look like. Old school style with that throw you back in time look. Very clean and a lot of novelty items around to look at as you enjoy your ice cream. The frozen yogurt almost isn't worth coming here with teenagers working their attitude. No thank you, I have enough of my Own! After waiting over 5 minutes in front of the ice cream counter I asked if the two girls (doing NOTHING, but watch us) scoped ice cream. I usually end up visiting Frannie's at least every other time I visit Prescott- but my last experience wasn't my greatest, unfortunately. This time, my husband and I stopped in for dessert after dinner- he got an ice cream big enough for us to share, and I decided to try a vanilla milk tea with boba. The boba was tough and flavorless- but that was to be expected and I'm not too disappointed, since I don't know Frannie's to be a boba place. I am at least happy that they're branching out and offering new things! I wasn't too happy, though, when my husband ordered a scoop of mint chocolate chip and a scoop of "Cookie Monster"- that's what was listed on the label, and that's what our server repeated back to us. When he scooped our ice cream and called it out when it was ready, he called out mint chocolate chip and "Monster Cookie"- a very different flavor of ice cream. What we got wasn't a blue ice cream with different cookie chunks in it- we got an ice cream swirled with peanut butter, which I'm allergic to. I went up to get the ice cream and asked what was in it, and explained that we had ordered "Cookie Monster" and not "Monster Cookie", but the young man simply said, "Oh, sorry about that", and didn't make any offers to fix the mistake and get us a new cup of ice cream. I do believe he was a new hire and being trained by the other man behind the counter, though, so I don't hold it against him and certainly understand if he was nervous or didn't know what to do. The other young man did notice what was going on and told the new hire to get us another ice cream- which we did pay for as well. I do love Frannie's and I certainly won't let this experience keep me from coming here and enjoying in the future! It was maybe just an off night and perhaps a good learning experience for the new employee being trained. read more

We stopped in for ice cream, hot chocolate and tea. The young gents behind the counter were not familiar with the tea selections and so had to go find out for me but it was tasty and they were very accommodating. The flow lines aren't great and the three different parties of people who were there at once were a little confused as to who was being serviced but it's really cute and my friend says she goes there regularly. read more

Went there today and ordered a strawberry milk tea with boba. The tea was pretty good, have ordered it before. However, I ordered it with boba and there was like, no boba. If you've ever ordered any type of boba drink, you would know the boba goes up about a third to a fourth up the cup. There was a thin layer along the bottom of theirs. Not going back. read more

The wide variety of oversized, colorful pastries range in price from $.88 - $1.25 each, hot coffee is $1.25 for a big cup, fountain drinks are $1.25. No quality is sacrificed at these prices either. The coffee is fresh and smooth. The churros, two types, are to die for! The not-to-sweet, vanilla flavored Ojos De Panchas are the perfect "dunking" pastry. The service is super friendly, and samples are often available. They also bake bread and make cakes to order. Aside from grocery store bakeries, there is only one other Panaderia that I know of in our area: The Donut Hole in Prescott Valley. There is really no comparison; my Mexican pastry experience there still haunts me to this day. (You can read my YELP review of "The Hole" for the gory detail.) Lizarraga's is actually worth a trip to Gateway Mall for an astoundingly cheap and delicious treat. I'm hoping that Lizarraga's is able to stay in business. They are a refreshing addition to the Mall.

Frannies is the best place for a cup of coffee / dessert. I tried their new cold brew coffee and it was the perfect blend of smooth / creamy and flavor. Delicious. We really liked the Graham Canyon flavor, but found the raspberry in the chocolate raspberry truffle to be close to nonexistent. It was still a nice chocolate ice cream though. I loved both the oatmeal cream pie and lemon flavor, but I liked the oatmeal cream pie just a little bit more since there were larger chunks of the actual cookie in it. As we devoured our ice creams, we browsed around the store. Awesome staff, service, selection, and products. Definitely stop in here if you get the chance!
