We ordered the Goldilocks sandwich and the Little Bear, along with a brown sugar latte and refreshing house drinks. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The Goldilocks was the perfect combination of creamy brie, cheddar, and sweet cherry jam, while the Little Bear was simple, fresh, and incredibly satisfying on perfectly baked ciabatta. Even the kettle chips were delicious! I also loved taking a few minutes to read the introduction in the menu. Hard to find the entrance, parking stinks depending on time you arrive, no breakfast on Sundays because of "tea reservations"............. It's not worth the effort to try again. Advertise better - revise your Yelp listing and for God's sake serve breakfast on Sundays all day. read more

I took my date here. First time for both of us. I'll give you my first piece of advice, compassionately: please, please, please change those blue, hideous chairs in the backroom. They are so uncomfortable and it's the first thing I noticed. The food made up for it but getting seating down is really important, and I promise you can make the place still look eclectic and unique by replacing them rather than put your paying customers through pain while eating (I couldn't get pain out my head while eating and my date and I fought over who got the real seat with a straight back). The couches can stay but those chairs suck. The place is fun, different, English -- definitely, and kinda weird, which I actually like. But those chairs man......... how can someone eat and not have back pain in them? I'm very open and honest so I hope you take this with feedback well. I'll try again once those are fixed -- promise! Everything else is cool. I love the books, the fish n chips weren't bad , but your portions are small. I think your prices were a bit expensive and expensive for what you get. Small and cozy seating and a nice outdoor seating area - dog friendly I went for breakfast and wanted to try a few items but wasn't too hungry so settled on the soft scramble. My plate arrived super fast - maybe 10 minutes - and had enough food for myself, the patron next to me, AND a doggy bag! My server was Kirsten and she was wonderful - actually all the staff were great! I wish I lived in the area to have time try their lunch and happy hour. This cute little library-themed restaurant may be our new favorite breakfast place when we come to Prescott. We asked to sit on the patio and they said they could provide shade for every table out there. The patio was pet-friendly. Our food was delicious--the French Omelette and Tolkien's Breakfast (a big English breakfast that brought back good memories for us!). I also ordered a sugar-free vanilla decaf latte which was delightful. Our server was friendly and efficient and our food came to us quickly. The only thing was I wanted more salt and it took awhile to get it. I guess usually people don't usually ask for that. Our bill came in a library book! What a cute idea. read more

The food at Bear & Dragon is excellent, and the restaurant itself has such a cozy, charming atmosphere\. Unfortunately, the experience was really brought down by the behavior of the staff\. The kitchen staff were extremely loud, obnoxious, and disruptive--loud enough that it affected what should have been a relaxing meal\. What made it even more frustrating was seeing the manager seemingly fooling around rather than actually managing the situation\. Eventually, a short\-haired older woman had to step in and get control of things, and she seemed to be the only person taking the problem seriously. I was also really taken aback when I overheard the male server say that "it wasn't his job to make people happy\." That is an unbelievable attitude to hear from someone working in hospitality\. It honestly seems silly to put young people who are still displaying juvenile behavior in charge of running things\. Age itself isn't the problem--maturity and professionalism are\. If someone is given a management position, they should be setting the tone for the staff, not joining in with the fooling around\. For a restaurant with such wonderful food and such a cozy atmosphere, this was disappointing\. The food absolutely deserves praise, but the restaurant would benefit tremendously from mature, professional management that keeps the staff focused and understands that the guest experience matters\. read more

We were visiting from Phoenix and stopped by Bear & Dragon once we got in town and it was the best way to start our trip! There was no wait, our server was helpful in providing recommendations and our food came out so fast. The decor of the indoor dining was so cute and the theme of everything was on point. Great and very Instagram worthy spot to grab breakfast . We tried their London fog latte, and also their pecan pie latte, which were both very delicious, the pecan pie was pretty sweet and the London fog had a perfect creamy texture to it. The English breakfast was more of an Irish breakfast, but was still delicious nevertheless. We did have a slight issue with some egg shells cracked into our eggs, but the owner checked on us and offered to have the dish remade so all is well, accidents in the kitchen happen. I didn't ruin the meal for us so all is well. Parking was relatively easy and there's tons of shops and things to check out down by the courthouse area nearby if you need to get in some steps after the Hardy breakfast. read more

On May 1st, my wife and I stopped for lunch. We ordered 1 queen Victoria tray and 2 sandwiches Goldilocks and Fire Drake. We asked for the bill to pay, I looked at when he came to pick it up I told him this is not mine. He didn't even asked why he ripped it and said he'll back with the right one. I don't get the hype of this place. The two stars is just for the ambiance alone. It's very cute outside, as well as having a nice patio. When we arrived for lunch it was a 45 minute wait. We heard good things, so we stuck it out. Eventually we were sat and saw that lunch was primarily sandwiches with chips. If you want meat on your sandwich, prices start at 14$. I got the griz, which was $16. It wasn't anything special...just a sandwich with seemingly a package of chips. For that price, you have to put your own spin on it besides a catchy name. A friend got the Sir Lancelot panini for $19 and said it had zero flavor besides horseradish. The prime rib was not memorable. Due to the small portions and overall flavor, it was extremely unsatisfying. We ended up grabbing more food after we left. The table next to us was amazed by the flavor of their sandwiches, but I really don't get it. I'm glad they were happy, but we wouldn't be back. It 100% wasn't worth it for us. read more

This sandwich is basically a Caprese salad with pesto which was fantastic on a panini bun. The mushroom bisque is super rich --and needs a hit of sherry vinegar. A cup is plenty. This place is so charming! My girlfriend and I got stranded a couple nights in Prescott and decided to grab brunch on the way back home. Filled with books and charm, the interior is inviting and eclectic. The food was delicious, and I enjoyed my latte, too. Our waitress was so sweet, when she noticed us crying she offered care and when we left she gave us a big hug. I will say, the music didn't match the vibe. For the lord of the rings vibe something more fantasy would have pleased me as opposed to mainstream music haha. I would def visit again when I am back in town. read more

Actually saw a reel about this place on instagram, planned ahead and got reservations. When we entered we were greeted by a gal (we wondered if she was in fact the dragon) who was rather grumpy when we asked if we could be seated earlier than our reservation. Ultimately we were seated early, and said dragon was very pleasant as we headed out. The ambiance is somewhere between library, pub and gastropub. We were tempted to pull a book off the shelf and read it, but we're afraid said dragon would slay us, so don't know if that's allowed. The seating is a combo of loveseats and wooden chairs & the walls are decorated in portraits of authors. There was a sideboard in our room that displayed a copy of Tom Clancy's The Bear and the Dragon (we assume this is the owner's favorite). We got cocktails because the names were so cute- I got the harvest margarita and my companion got the war and peace. Both were tasty but the HM was amazing! (Only downside as a sipper is that the cinnamon sugar rim starts to melt and makes the glass very sticky). We also got a starter, the chips and curry. The chips were well crisped and the curry was delightful, but not spicy if that's what you're looking for. My companion got the cottage pie which came in a large single serve casserole. She says it was sublime- extremely creamy mashed and perfect proportions of ingredients. I had the chicken special- a chicken leg and thigh fried without breading, with mashed and sautéed spinach on the side. For dessert it was cherry crumble with ice cream. The crumble had just enough saltiness to it, and the ice cream was very rich and ... well... creamy. The cherries were ok but tasted like they came out of a jar. The check comes tucked into the pages of a book. Nice touch. All in all, a lovely spot, but we both agree that they could commit more heavily to the literary theme. read more

We celebrated a family birthday and they were all so kind to us! We tried 2 different wines, one from Spain and another from France, both legit. I had the Dragon Burger and it was so delish. Others had shrimp gnocchi and fish & chips and enjoyed them, too. We even tried 3 desserts: crumble, shortcake, and liquor. All amazing. The interior of the place is as cute as the website says.
