We visited over the 4th of July weekend, so we expected things to be busy. However, it also seemed like a weekend where additional staffing would have helped. We were a party of six. Two of us ordered drinks, and our food order wasn't taken until those drinks arrived, leaving the rest of our group waiting longer than expected. I had the chicken lettuce wraps. They tasted good but were a little dry, and the lettuce was wilted. The rest of our group ordered the biscuits and gravy and the brisket Benedict, and everyone finished their meals. Inside has a nice old school cut glass bar and a bunch of booths in back and a couple tables upfront overlooking the town square. Largely pub/bar food and limited menu. We landed on the Mac and Cheese and the Steak Salad with blue cheese dressing. Pretty standard bar food. Service was good, not great, very low energy, which is fine. Highly attractive restaurant right in the heart of Downtown Prescott. The restaurant has a family pub type feel which is very inviting. We stopped in for lunch. Service was friendly. We ordered club sandwich which was delicious, filet and eggs (done very well), and Mahi Mahi Fish and chips. They were fluffy and cooked to perfection. This place is worth the wait, especially if going during a busy morning. The breakfast potatoes were also unique and good! Look no further, this place is perfect. Stayed at the hotel, and chose this restaurant for convenience. Little did we know this was the best choice in town! Calm atmosphere, wonderful service, delicious food. Charming interior replete with all the charm of this historic building and space, with absolutely delightful service and great food. We split the coconut shrimp and were pleasantly surprised that it was perfectly cooked (not greasy) and the sauce was legit - made with actual bits of coconut. We were staying at the Hotel St. Michael on Easter. We hadn't planned to dine here twice but some places we were considering were closed for Easter. That turned out to be fortuitous. We both ended up doing a kind of soup and salad for dinner. I couldn't resist Hatch Chile & pork stew. It had great flavor but was pretty mild. The green Cholula sauce on the table kicked it up just right. I also had a fine Caesar salad that was not shy on the shaved Parmesan cheese. Mmmm cheese salad. My wife had the bistro salad and tomato artichoke bisque. She really liked both of them. The next morning we had breakfast. My wife went with the buttermilk pancake breakfast. She loved the buttery eggs and fluffy pancakes. I had the Brisket Benedict which was a great Southwest take on the benedict. Service was attentive and personal. This was our first time eating at Bistro St Michael and I think both my husband and I enjoyed not only our food, but the overall ambiance which was amazing! We went in for breakfast after church with a couple of our friends who had been here before and lucky for us, we got what I believe was the best seat in the house! This place is located on the perfect corner in the historic Whiskey Row of beautiful downtown Prescott. It is a historic building which also houses a hotel. The interior of the restaurant tells a story of days gone by and is absolutely stunning. Unfortunately, I've never stayed in the hotel, so can't say anything about it (for now?). Service was great and everyone enjoyed their selected dish. My friend had her usual Eggs Benedict and she said they were delicious. Her plate was wiped clean, so I'm going to say I believed her! Our other friend ordered the Whiskey Burger (?) and he ate every single bit of it too! Either they were very hungry or they don't believe in wasting! My husband had the French Toast breakfast, which he also said was very good. It was definitely well-served and he finished it all! The bacon was probably his fave! He loves bacon! A lot!!! I ordered the Smoked Turkey Club and it was good. My only complaint (which I never voiced!) was that the bread was neither soft nor toasted. It looked like it was placed on the grill (burn marks), but wasn't really toasted. I guess I'm just used to having club sandwiches on toasted bread??? Needless to say, my sandwich was stuffed with delicious smoked turkey and a whole lot of bacon. I selected fries as my side and they were the best! Super crunchy on the outside, but soft in the inside. Yummy! I did end up eating only a quarter of my sandwich, because I had plans to take it home and transfer it onto toasted bread! Melonai was exceptional--her customer service, the way she treated my family with love and kindness, and her ability to go above and beyond made the entire experience unforgettable. Bistro St. Michael is amazing! We stayed on-site at the hotel and after check-in we wanted to find a quick place for dinner and ended up at the Bistro. Their Whiskey Jam burger and chicken sandwich were so delicious. My husband said the chicken sandwich was one of the best he's ever had. The next day we decided to try their breakfast. Their pancakes were fluffy and the bacon was perfectly cooked. My husband enjoyed the biscuits and gravy as well. Finally, we wanted a quick appetizer later that night and decided to try the wings and chips and dip trio. We sat at the bar and enjoyed talking to the bartender and watching her make drinks. I had the Desert 75 and my husband had the Kentucky Peaches which were both some of the best drinks we had during our trip. She was annoyed that we came at 7:30 when they closed at 8:00 so she said with a negative tone ..."You know we close at 8 right ?" What she didn't know was that we asked the nice woman in the lobby area before you even walk into the Bistro that we asked her to ask the kitchen staff if it was alright if we dine a half hour before closing and they were more than welcoming us in. It was just that hostess girl who was rude to us. Mgmt should do something about her and teach her customer service skills. The bistro got 4 stars and lost one because of that hostess girl. Since my wife and I were staying at the St. Michael's Hotel in Prescott for our 43rd wedding anniversary on Thursday, May 7th, we thought we would head to the Bistro for a 6 PM dinner. So we ordered the coconut shrimp appetizer, and the 8 ounce sirloin steak with asparagus and garlic, mashed potatoes. Being an old western town, we thought we would enjoy a good steak dinner at about $30 each and we both clearly stated to our waitress to cook our steaks, Medium. The coconut shrimp appetizer was delicious, but when the steaks arrived both sides had very deep grill marks, and they were rather thin. As we began cutting our steaks, we both noticed they were well done and rather tough. Even going to the center, they were brown, no color, no juice and tough. We thought about complaining, but being our anniversary I did not want to cause a scene and have the steaks sent back. But days later, I am still upset at what was delivered to our table. However, the asparagus and garlic mashed potatoes were very good. The restaurant manager should see who is cooking Thursday, May 7th at 6 PM to review with them what a medium ordered steak should look like. Very disappointing!
