I am very pleased with my first visit to Franwin Pharmacy and will return again. I was assisted by Lynette and Rosa that gave wonderful customer service in which I haven't had in a long while. Both were attentive to my issue and needs. They showed great effort in finding the necessary equipment I needed. They exhibited great interest in alleviating my discomfort and pain, with unbelievable patience. Lastly, they both were very knowledgeable and helpful while instructing me on how to utilize my equipment. I value that type of service. I needed a simple compound to make pill easier to swallow using a capsule or a coating. Pharmacist Lady was able to speak with me on phone and then she took my number rather than have me wait and did call back. Ultimately the "Unfortunately" word came out with no we can not (or will not ) be able to do that. Images of their pictures (no pix of mine) I seem fine as do a few of the other compound drug store pharmacist places. Place notes that it has been in Mineola there for decades and is a family run organization which again is nice to see the doration of the business. There is a phone number along with their address and it is good to check hours. Insurances may or may not cover and you'd have to check what you have, you would need a prescription too. So, for those that can use the service and have what they need it is a place to check. As for me "Unfortunately" yet again I have to figure out something else. read more

For the most part, my experience at franwin has always been a pleasant one. They have always taken good care of me. Except for the two female pharmacists, mainly on Mondays. Who have been nothing but nasty and rude. I believe one of their names is Jeanette. She needs to retake a HIPPA course because shes always yelling out patients info and medications in front of other customers. She makes you feel very unwelcomed and uncomfortable. Asking a pharmacist questions about my medication shouldn't cause anxiety. I feel sorry for the people that work with her because she lacks empathy. Ive seen many people in the reviews complain about these two specific pharmacists. Jeanette has no compassion for patients and thats no place for someone who lacks human empathy to be. I needed a power lift recliner due to back issues. I searched & searched for a local Pride Dealer so I could sit & try a Pride recliner. I went to Franwin Pharmacy in Mineola, NY. I found the perfect recliner. It's a VivaLift, PLR-958, the Legacy model. Lynette helped me. She had so much patience & understanding helping me. I arrived with a yardstick since I needed the seat to be a certain depth. Lynette was very knowledgeable about the features of the recliner. Ordering the recliner was easy. They had the color recliner I liked in stock. On April 24, 2023 I purchased the recliner. On April 28, 2023 the recliner was delivered. I received a phone call letting me know the delivery was on its way. Rosa & the gentleman were awesome. The delivery went so smoothly. They set up the recliner 1, 2, 3. They took away all the packing material. They're wonderful. Rosa gave me the info & reminded me I need to register my recliner. I registered my recliner the same day I received it. The registration process was simple and easy. Thank you also Lynette for sending me another seat cushion for my butt and spine. The cushions are wonderful and so reasonably priced. Now I have 2 cushions & don't have to move a cushion from chair to chair. This recliner is beyond awesome. You guys take pride in your job. You're an asset to the business. I am dealing with elderly parents. I called Franwin today for a back brace and the staff there stayed on the phone with me, while I was at work and had to put them on hold. The young lady who helped me (I do not know her name), was so patient with me. I was looking for a back brace and did not have measurements. She literally stayed on the phone with me going through all the measurements and what have you. It is clear the staff at franwin cares about your issues. And for this I am thankful. I am so impressed with this pharmacy. One of my doctors gave me a script for a compound mixture. My neighborhood pharmacy doesn't do compound mixtures, my doc said Franwin Pharmacy can definitely do it. I believe the gentleman that I spoke to in person was the one that explained the cost and how to use it. I wish I could remember his name. It was worth getting stuck on the Southern State Parkway from Queens to Mineola to pick up my script. I also pick up a few other things while I was there. The staff here was lovely. Considering how small pharmacies are losing to the big guys it's nice to have somewhere else to go. This place was recommended to me by my pediatrician and if I'm in the area I'd have no problem stopping back in for something. Though I will say the shelves are not full. Allen, who I think is one of the lead pharmacists here, was a tremendous help at a time that I couldn't need it more. I suffered from recurrent aphthous ulcers and he told me they were getting a shipment of 'Debacterol' later that day, a super specialty product that not a single CVS, Walgreens, or other independent pharmacies carried. I was told they were going to receive a shipment the same evening itself. I kept following up with him once evening came, it finally did in fact arrive and I was able to solve my excruciating pain. This pharmacy is quaint, independent and you truly get a locally-owned feel the second you walk in. You are more than just business to these guys. Highly recommended. read more

I was simply trying to drop off a prescription for my mother today, for only 6 pills of a strong pain killer. The staff while polite clearly gave me some run around (wasting my lunch time I was at work just a few streets away) said they did not accept my mothers insurance but then offers me 100pills for 600 dollars rather than filling my mothers prescription for only 6 pills. Very odd way of doing business. I wouldn't recommend this place it seems shady. read more

I grew up in Mineola and knew that Franwin always had what you needed in surgical supplies so I called this morning to ask for a specialized item for my son. I spoke with Russell who had the item just not in the size I needed at the moment. He genuinely felt bad that he couldn't help me but he gave me the number of another surgical supply store nearby. I got my perscription filled and they shorted me ten of my pills so I called them to let them know they shorted me. So I asked them to check there inventory but he didn't, all he did was ask the boy that was in training who actually filled my script... then he tried to tell me that I lost ten of my pills. I didn't lose them, he just didn't wanna admit that they made a mistake. Never again will I leave a pharmacy without checking my bottle. And I hope u do the same read more
