They took me right on time, no waiting. Everyone there is friendly, welcoming, and understanding of whatever situation you're in. They don't rush you in and out like a number. They're knowledgeable and very thorough. Example: I went to a surgeon to get my wisdom teeth out due to an infection. And the extraction didn't solve the infection. It was going on for months. Throbbing pain, couldn't eat normally, the original medication didn't help. I had to pay to see the surgeon again to tell him the infection symptoms were worse than when we took the teeth out. Now I had hot and cold sensitivity, massive headaches, jaw and existing tooth pain. With worsening and consistent throbbing and symptoms still, I called Dental Care of the Future. They called me to talk about the recommendation, and any concerns I had. They set up a solution for me to solve my infection problem. Called in the prescription for me so I didn't have to pick up a script. I am forever grateful to them for caring so much as to solve my 5 month long dental problem for me. And incredibly they don't charge for things like X rays and charges in excess of what your insurance covers. You can tell they're good people, wanting to help all their patients. I won't make the mistake of going to another dentist besides DCF again. DCF saved me from having my tooth infection spread to my bloodstream. Forever grateful to have found them.

I was told they'd contact my insurance company to find out if these other procedures would be covered. I had to call this afternoon to remind them. Once they realized there screw up about my insurance coverage (they don't accept mine even though, as previously stated, I was led to believe I was covered for the exam, etc.) they tried to tell me that I now owe them over $300 for the exam and x-rays! So now after saying that I was all set for the appointment that I had, they now expect me to pay them out of my own pocket! You screwed up so I'm supposed to pay for your mistake? I don't think so!

It almost felt as if she was looking down on me, which made the experience uncomfortable. However, that all changed during my last appointment. Instead of my usual assistant, I was greeted by a different dental assistant, Mrs. Rose. From the moment she walked in, she radiated warmth, kindness, and genuine care. She was the sweetest person and made me feel comfortable, even though I had come in feeling down about my dental problems. She took the time to explain everything to me and offered reassurance that truly made a difference in my experience. I am so grateful for her kindness and the positive impact she had on my visit. I just saw the bill, they billed an emergency exam (this is done if you go in with a tooth ache) and did a scaling and root planing, wich is a type of perio surgery/procedure. It should have been a new patient exam. Possible a debriment since it had been 5 years and see how the patient responds. I was in the dental managment industry for over 25 years, and this kind of crap is why I left. Not to mention there was no fee/copay disclosure before starting treatment. I will be putting in a formal complaint with Delta Dental. I did call and was told they did everything correct.

Not long after that I was having front tooth pain, they got me in quickly, took x-ray's, the tech took pics of my tooth and sent to the the dentist, the tech told me the dentist see's something, never once saw the dentist, never saw my x-ray, then I went in the room to discuss my treatment plan. To be told I need a root canal, and a cap placed on my front tooth, and to replace the cap next to it, to make sure it matches. I asked if I could get pain pills, I was denied. I also learned they do not take one of my insurances anymore. When I left I called and got an appointment elsewhere, that will take all my insurances. I called the Millennium Dental office to get my X-ray's, but was told they mail them, I expressed I have an appointment soon and I cannot wait for them to be mailed, I asked if I could come and pick them up, they refused to let me get MY X-ray's. During my visit, I asked for information about my son's upcoming dental appointment. As his father, legal guardian, and the person providing his dental insurance, I expected either the requested information or a clear explanation of any office policy that prevented it. Instead, the conversation included what I perceived to be unnecessary gossip, bias opinions, and commentary that had nothing to do with my request. Rather than simply addressing the question or referring me to someone who could, the interaction became uncomfortable and unprofessional. Later that same day, I called the office and spoke with the receptionist, who provided the appointment information without any difficulty or unnecessary discussion. Based on my experience, I encourage the practice to ensure that staff remain professional, avoid unnecessary personal commentary or gossip, and communicate office policies consistently and respectfully.
