Just the otherday i went here,appointment with my family doctor. My other physician for almost 16 years is retiring soon so im very greatful that i was accepted as new parient in here. Big Clinic shared by a group of pphysicians,clean waiting area is big enough to siit roughly 40-50 heads.,overhead paging syatem is available so you wont niss your turn,front desk personnels are very friendly,most of them are Filipinos. fraser area now specially this part is now paid parrking.$1.00 for an hour,there are still few spots free and far ones like the residenttial areas. Clean place,theres big TV monitor in the lobby which is their waiting area aswelll,lots of brochures there to read,some medical related hand-outs and reading materialss.. Wash room is clean. They are open from 8 am to sometimes 7:45 pm There is pharmacy there ao one complete stop read more

If you have an opportunity to go to another doctor/clinic, I would strongly recommend that you do so. My family doctor works there and given the fact that it's so difficult to find a GP, I'm stuck with it for now. The doctors that I've seen there have all been competent and attentive; that's not the issue. It's the medical system itself and the clinic's admin. The clinic itself leaves much to be desired. The waiting area can be best described as one you might have seen in Soviet Russia. I've always had difficulty getting through to make appointments on the phone, and when I finally get through, I have GREAT difficulty understanding what some of the receptionists are saying. When asked politely to slow down and speak louder, I've encountered attitude from some staff. Regina's attitude, accent and rapidity of speech is particularly poor; she doesn't listen and takes umbrage at being asked to repeat herself, speak slower, louder, etc. The rest of the staff at least tries. The admin is terrible; they seem disorganized and confused. I have to initiate follow up almost all the time, and they have very often dropped the ball on booking appts with specialists, etc. I've given the clinic 2 stars, rather than the zero I think it deserves, only because after I complained repeatedly about not being able to understand them, and expressed frustration to my doctor about support staff's inefficiency, they seemed to improve somewhat, although Regina's attitude still sucks. I've tried hard to connect with her as a human being to no avail. So I guess we have to complain and demand better service in order to have any improvement at all. My family doctor works in this office. I have only had really positive experience with her, and I've heard only good things about most of the other docs working in this clinic. They have recently expanded their physician staff and are taking new patients, so if you're on of the thousands of people struggling to find a family doc in Vancouver this is definitely a decent option. Unfortunately the clinic itself leaves much to be desired. The waiting area is not very pleasant and there is always a line that moves at a snail's pace to check in at reception. They make you fill out a survey on about why you're coming in every single visit (even if it's just to get test results), which my doctor has never actually used. I've always had difficulty getting through to make appointments on the phone, and when I have gotten through I've had some difficulty understanding what the receptionist was saying. They allow you to book online via email, but the one time I attempted to do this I got an email response 2 weeks after I sent in my appointment request, confirming I had an appoint for a date that had already passed. If your concern is even remotely time sensitive I don't advise using that option! Overall, the foundations have been laid for a good practice but they've got some administrative issues they need to work out before this becomes a reality. read more

I came upon this clinic, as my doctor moved from her practice to this one, or else I would have never come here. This clinic is not run very professionally. The doctors are good at their job, however the reception staff is not. They are rude, do not speak/understand English very well - I understand that for the majority of the population they serve, it is a good idea to have staff that speak those languages (Chinese, Filipino, Punjabi etc). I am a child of immigrants too and could appreciate that, however I speak in English and do not enjoy being talked down to by the incompetent staff. I have been very patient with the reception staff, but it is quite ridiculous. If you call the office, you are always put on hold before getting through to an actual staff member - every single time. I do not understand how that is possible when they have 4-5 receptions working at all times. I worked at a receptionist in a corporate setting along time ago, and there were better ways to deal with a busy switchboard, why doesn't this clinic use that? They encourage people to book online, but several times those booking requests do not get answered and you don't your appointment. If you are calling to leave a message or ask your doctor something they may or may not pass your message/request to your doctor - 1) who are they to determine if your message should or should not be passed along? 2) why do they insisting on booking you in for an appointment, when sometimes that is not required. When you call again, because you have not heard from your doctor, you don't get an apology, but rather excuses. If you actually make an appointment to see your doctor, it's like cattle being herded! First (most cases) you are in a slow moving line up to confirm that you have arrived for your appointment - the receptionist will ask you questions and it's loud enough that the whole waiting room can hear what your medical issue is -- why are you asking, when you ask us when we book what we are coming in for? And also, more importantly, how is my health a matter for you and the waiting room's concern?? Then you sit down in a wait room that has all the chairs side by side (no personal space) and if it's a full room, it's not pleasant. Then when it is your turn, they have one receptionist (?) hurl your name out over the PA system - an not in a nice way, but like they just don't care and rather mispronounced. That is not the best way to call patients, perhaps get a number system and call by number? OR call by first name or last name only - so it is confidential who you are (when a waiting room is full, do you need the other people to know who you are?). And heaven forbid your doctor send you for blood work, xrays or a specialist. Not sure how they prioritize patients to see specialists, but it sometimes feels like you, as the patient, would have better luck contacting the specialist to get an appointment date, then waiting for them to schedule one for you. Also, your results from blood work or xrays may or may not never see the light of day - you have to call to find out if they have been received, and half the time they haven't, but the doctors? or staff don't bother to follow up to find out why not - as a patient you have to do that?!!? Yes, it is great that they have a numerous number of doctors, but the set up is odd - maybe design the waiting room better and a better system of calling patients in?? Also, work on staff demeanour - if they don't enjoy their jobs or can not do their jobs, please hire people who will. read more

my doctor was Dr. Daniel Ngui. He is very nice and a good doctor. Unfortunately he works in an office with incompetent receptionists. When you try to book an appointment with him, the receptionists will lie and say he is on vacation. Then you will see him walk by in the back. When I first tried to make an appointment with the doctor they said oh he won't be back for a month, he is on vacation. Then they saw that it was for my baby and they said oh he wants to see her. So they made an appointment for her the following week. Proving they were lying about him being out of town. I was 8 minutes late for my newborns appointment and then they made me sit down to fill out forms. Over the speaker I heard them call in someone who was supposed to be after me. Then they cancelled my appointment on me. Because this is a walk in clinic, I tried to ask if I could see a walk in doctor for this appointment. They said yes. I said can I see someone now then? They said no. I asked why. They said I needed to make an appointment to see my doctor. I said I don't want to see my doctor. Can I see a walk in doctor. They said yes. I said can I see one now? They said no. I asked why. They said I had to make an appointment with my doctor. This continued. I swear the receptionists have something wrong in their heads. Now I get that I shouldn't have been late, but when you are getting used to having a baby around and there are spit ups, diaper changes, plus you don't drive and you feel like you're frantically trying to get everywhere you end up being about 5 minutes late to everything. It takes awhile to get used to the routine and they should be a bit more understanding. That being said, I will never go back again. I think they are damned jerks and I don't recomend this place at all. My man has also had trouble with them lying to him as well. They are always saying that the doctor is out of town when he sees the doctor walk past in the back. Then my man tries to say hi to the doctor and he completely ignores him. He has tried to see a walk in doctor as well because his doctor is too busy, and the receptionist won't let him. They say he needs to make an appointment with his doctor. Then he ends up having to travel and see a different clinic just to get someone to change his bandages and let him know if he can go back to work. From my understanding, this is supposed to be a walk in clinic but they won't take you unless you make an appointment. read more

My family doctor, Dr Wolak, works here. She is very thorough and is the only one I'll trust with my family. She has a great bedside manner with adults and young kids alike. My kids love her. My only concern is that after giving shots, she'll let kids choose from a basket of rubber duckies. It's like she's bribing them. I do not believe a doctor should be bribing children to see her. Luckily they want to see her, whether she bribes them or not, because she is so nice. read more

My doctor, Dr. Lucy Nee, works out of this office and she is awesome! She's very attentive, listens to what I have to say and offers sound advice. The building itself could use some upgrading, it's quite industrial looking. The waiting room is not very nice, but you don't have to wait long if you've booked an appointment! This office is poorly run, and is outdated. The receptionists are incompetent. Filling out a questionnaire (every time) to pin point your visit is useless. Trying to book an appointment is like pulling teeth. The phone is answered between 12:30 pm and 1:30 pm. My gf's doctor does not seem to have the care or compassion. Her doctor as the receptionist put it is "on a timeline." We booked an appointment in the morning, and was told the appointment was considered missed and we would be fined all because of a situation that was out of our control. We also had to give 24 hours notice if we were to miss the appointment. I don't recommend this office read more

Receptionist are really rude, even if you call them for information they sound really annoying god even asking simple question. More than 5 times they gave me wrong information for example doctor said your prescription for refill should be ready just pick it from the reception, where they forced you to book an appointment just for prescription and doctor said I already wrote it for you why did you book an appointment. Took time off from work just to attend the appointment which I didn't need. They also lie when asked that did you said that they will say the never said that makes patients looks like they are being silly. Other times when I call for information over the phone used sounds / words to express how annoyed they were for asking just an simple question. They should be more polite and humble specially they mostly work with seniors. They were extremely rude. I try to avoid going to doctors unless I really needed just to avoid the pain of dealing with them. I am finally changing doctors. I thought it only happen to me but I heard from couple different patients it happens to them as well read more

Don't waste your time - extremely long wait times, doctors are extremely disrespectful. After 2.5 hour wait I had the doctor cut me off when I was trying to explain why I was there to see him. He then kept asking what do you need from me each time I would attempt to explain my symptoms. If your not willing to listen to your patients then good luck trying to treat them. Dr.Roman is certainly not a doctor I recommend. read more
