I called to see what their hours were. Friday and Saturdays, they are open 10 AM till 10 PM. Each time when I drive by on Sunday, they have the open sign up, but they stated they are closed on Sunday. read more

Had a party of 10 there for my wife's birthday. Very attentive waitresses. Between us all we tried pizza, stromboli, chicken dishes, veal dishes, salads and desserts. Everything was very good. Six of us arrived around 630p Sat night. Seated immediately we were one of the first groups. The place is set up like a take out pizza joint but there are French doors behind which is a nice dining room. Driving by you would never think there was a full service restaurant in there. It is a byob we came with three bottles of red. Halfway through our meal the place was full. Server arrived and was pleasant and informative. We ordered salads and a plate of gnocchi for the table. I had wanted a half plate but was informed that they can't do half plates. We were about to have a Jack Nicholson moment, (from 5 Easy Pieces), but my wife gave me a yellow card. Anyway it is a bit strange that they could not provide a half plate of one of their main pasta dishes. Obviously they are not cooked to order but prepared well beforehand. I got the veal Osso Bucco over risotto. The veal was tasty and fell from the bone. It was a bit fatty but good. The risotto was sticky I have had better. My wife had a seafood dish lobster, clams, mussels, with red sauce she enjoyed it. As for the gnocchi it was gummy - not so good. Our server had explained that they are sent in to the place from the Bronx and really did not know what they were made of, etc., etc. Value was ok ~$65 per couple. We came in with a large group of 14 people and had an amazing experience. The food was sooo good. The pasta (vodka sauce and Alfredo sauce, fried ravioli) seriously AMAZING. I knew this 'little gem' had changed hands recently, we had been coming here for years. In speaking with new owners, they assured us that nothing would change. Tonight three of arrived for a reserved table for six, waiting on three more. A server delivering food shouted at us from across the room to 'go ahead and sit over there.' Hmm. Hadn't ever been treated like that before. Another server promptly appeared, asking to take our drink order. The birthday lady kindly repeated that we were waiting for three guests, and could we please just have some ice water while we wait. The response, after some confusion on our part? I haven't been here in a few years and I didn't realize that it has been all remodeled! They we're able to make me a vegan pizza which was fantastic! Loved the set up and the pizza came out quickly with out issues. This is going to be my new pizza go to place! Plus it is BYOB. So I brought a few beers to enjoy with my meal. read more

Our family always enjoys going to Fratelli's. Without a doubt, the Zuppa di Pesce is a winner with lots of seafood in it and a great sauce. The Chicken Parm and also their meatballs and sausage are excellent. The service is normally good as we Went again last night since the new ownership and the food is definitely holding up to the previous owner, but the service isn't the same. We asked for tap water while dining in the restaurant with several of the higher priced dishes and were told they don't have that, they have bottled water. I've never in my life been told we can't get water with a meal. Even if we brought wine or bought soda, you can ask for a glass of water. Odd! read more

Food is amazing!! Service not so much :(...... This was not our first visit and we love their food!!!! The penne with vodka sauce is one of the best I have ever had and I am a picky Italian. Love that I can bring a bottle of wine. One minor suggestion.... they need to serve bread and oil. I have never heard of an Italian restaurant that doesn't put a basket of bread in the center of the table. It's odd and when we asked for bread, the server looked very confused. Our only complaint was the service. We were waited on by a young man. At first we thought he was overwhelmed but the restaurant cleared out and he was still cold and rude..... not the best impression. The new owners and managers understand that a good dining experience has multiple facets including good food, timely and courteous service and a deep menu. Fratelli's has checked all three boxes. I'm actually really shocked by the mediocre rating for Fratelli's! We were not expecting much because of the Yelp reviews and because, coming from Los Angeles, our standards were too high for a little Italian restaurant in a rural area. However, Fratelli's not only didn't disappoint, they exceeded our expectations. Don't let the main room fool you: Fratelli's has a much nicer dining room adjacent to the rinky dink pizza parlor-esque front room. We ordered the calamari as it seemed to be popular on Yelp, and it was phenomenal. The calamari was crispy and the extra seasonings and veggies were an unusual and great addition. I ordered the Cavatelli Rapini, which was on the pricier side of the pastas (~$19) but it was totally worth it. Huge portion, wonderfully chewy pasta, a rich and creamy sauce, and the broccoli rabe and beans were amazing. 10/10. Our waitress was very kind and talkative, especially because it was a very quiet night. Side note: Fratelli's is also BYOB so we got a bottle of wine from a local liquor store. TLDR: don't let the mediocre Yelp reviews fool you; Fratelli's is a great establishment! read more

I ordered a large pizza and a large antipasto salad for lunch (take out). While the pizza was delish, the meat in the salad tasted off, as in spoiled. I made a point of driving back to return the remaining salad and explain that I thought the meat was going bad. I was shocked at the response of the proprietor. I was told the that the meat couldn't be bad- "it came off the truck this morning and was cut fresh today." Off the truck today or not, I maintained my opinion that the meat tasted bad, that their product was unsatisfactory. I was offered a new salad, which I declined. The proprietor then flippantly offered $5 back (for a $13 salad) because we had eaten some of it. No apology was offered, and he showed no concern that his facility might be serving a spoiled product. How do you argue with that kind of ignorance?! I just took the money and left. This isn't the first time we've eaten food from this restaurant, and in general, we've always been happy. However, I won't go back again. In fact, I was so angry that my complaint of spoiled food wasn't taken seriously that I'm filing a complaint with the PA Health Dept. I hope if this ever happens again, they take their customers concerns seriously. read more

It really just looks like a pizza place when you walk by, and when you first get in, it really seems to be the case. But when you get into the dining room it's a very nice dining room, and it was clean! The food was great! I just found it weird that if you order a water or a soda they bring it in a can or bottle, but that's very minor and just odd... not really a bad thing. The service is the only thing that keeps this place from getting 5 stars. We had a younger girl maybe college age, on the stocky side, and she just had absolutely no ambition. She forgot our drinks until she brought our appetizers, then after we asked again she brought the drinks. She just seemed annoyed to be there, as if we were inconveniencing her that we came to eat. The other server was stalling silverware and seemed very attentive.... Ours sat and played on her phone and just shuffled around the restaurant. And it was well before closing time, and didn't even ask for anything special. We just wanted simple restaurant service! The owner was very friendly and checked us out and everyone else seemed very friendly and upbeat except for the server we had. I absolutely recommend this place. read more

I had high hopes going here as I heard nothing but good things. Unfortunately after my first experience I will not be going back. My bf & I waited 40 minutes after ordering for our food to come to the table as to go orders kept going out & passing us. It was like the wait staff forgot we were there as the girl never checked up on us to ask how we were. When taking our order, she yelled from the door if we were ready. Once we finally got our food later, my bf got a beef instead of chicken cheesesteak & the "oven baked" raviolis I ordered were clearly just boiled. So disappointed. read more

If I could give this restaurant negative stars, I probably would. When I go to a restaurant, I've come to expect good and consistent food. I've been here several times, and the food is either ok or not very good. I don't usually rate restaurants, but my most recent experience was bad enough, I feel people should be aware of what they may encounter. Beginning with the bread that was brought to the table, it was hard and clearly had been forgotten in the oven. A hack saw would have been a practical tool to cut it rather than the butter knives left on the table. My soup, the pasta fagioli, was flat (lacking Italian herbs and seasonings) and the noodles were not fully cooked. The most disappointing part of my meal was by far the salad I ordered. When I order a salad, I expect that lettuce or some form of greens will be the main component. I ordered the NY Seafood Salad, which was described as calamari and shrimp on a bed of mixed greens with sweet and hot peppers, garlic, lemon, and basil. What I received was soggy seafood drowning in oil on 6 pieces of iceberg lettuce. To say the least I was beyond disappointed, not only was there no mixture of greens, but the "salad" lacked lettuce. The environment is nice, and if you live in Conyngham, it's convenient; however, those are the only advantages. read more
