Over her 15 year lifespan, I must have taken her to a dozen different vet clinics in the bay area, none of which had the expertise or training to handle her. And I say that with certainty, as I've dealt with a myriad of vet clinics that were terrible. Fazier Mobile Vet was thorough, kind, and patient with my cat, Koi. At each home visit, Dr. Jeff explained everything step-by-step, and clearly explained the outcome of all tests and bloodwork, along with offering choices of treatment options (none of that clinic pressure or up-selling). My cat, unfortunately, succumbed to her many ailments and recently we had to make the difficult decision to put her down. Dr. Jeff and his tech Amanda handled this horribly difficult task with the utmost kindness and compassion. Putting your pet down in the comfort of their own home on their favorite chair is an experience I recommend to anyone having to deal with this heartbreaking situation. Dr. Frazier seemed very competent and was good with my dog. My issue was the cost. I've used mobile vets often, and it's always a bit more expensive, but never like this. I asked for the appointment for flea medication and sedation for an airline flight. Dr. Frazier sent me a link to chewy.com for the sedation and charged me $1000 for examining her and oral flea medication. He also did a heart worm test, that I didn't ask for (she just had one at the rescue) - I wasn't opposed to it but didn't realize how much he'd charge me for it. Luckily he showed me the price before taking her blood pressure ($100+), so I opted for no blood pressure and just 3 months of flea medication. Then it was $500+. In-home care is a lot less stressful for my dogs, but I'd find another one that has more reasonable pricing. read more

Although Dr. Frazier and team were kind and available to see my pets, I did not feel satisfied with the quality of care and costs associated with the visits. We needed a vet appointment to address a timely concern, and no other vets in the City had openings for weeks. Dr. Frazier was able to come on 2 occasions within days of calling for an appointment. Communication was easy to schedule and prepare for the appointment. The convenience of coming to your home was fantastic as well. On the negative, my cat was misdiagnosed twice. During the first appointment, I was instructed to treat her for ring worm. It turned out to be just hot spots that quickly went away when I treated her with over the counter ointments. The Second appointment was to get help for her assumed asthma. He told me she was too young for asthma, and prescribed an antibiotic which didn't help. It turns out she DOES have asthma and needed an oral inhaler. Dr. Frazier could have been more upfront about costs and tests (vs. just pulling blood and then charging for it -I.e. feline AIDS test). He's fees are very high and I felt he pushed tests, meds, and supplements without a conversation (I.e. just threw $300 worth of flea medication in the bill without asking if I actually wanted it. I had to ask him to remove that cost). I'm glad he was able to see my pets on short notice, but in hindsight I would have saved a lot of money waiting for a vet to properly diagnose and treat my cats. read more

Dr. Frazier gave excellent and timely care to Luna since she was a kitty three years ago, and followed us from Redwood City to SF. For that service, I would give five stars. Recently, Luna developed the habit of scratching sores into herself, once quite badly. We reached out to schedule an urgent visit (something he typically accommodates), only to have emails ignored for a week. Finally responds with Luna's medical file, more or less saying he can no longer treat her. No idea why. This is a bit of a letdown since we've come to depend on him as vet. For this, I'm afraid it's a one-star situation as we've been left more or less high and dry. If service is at the prior level, this is an excellent mobile vet option. But the mysterious 'firing' of patient Luna (for lack of a better term) left a bad taste. read more

We cannot say enough good things about Dr. Frazier and his team. My XL German Shepherd mobility-service dog was having serious anxiety going to vet clinics (even the supposed top ones in the Bay Area), has had allergies and frequent ear infections, and I am not always able to get out (the visits overtaxed me, as well). I was nervous before the first appointment with Dr. Frazier, as my boy is more territorial at home, plus I was initially unsure what to expect or what a mobile vet could/could not do, but we were wowed by the thoroughness of Dr. Frazier from then onward. The vet techs are amazing too. They're great with Lev, and responsive to questions and concerns (trust me, I've had quite a number yet they're still so patient and understanding.). It feels like there is a whole team or family caring for Lev, which is beyond reassuring. While most vets in the area book WAY out, even for urgent matters, Dr. Frazier and his team have squeezed us in as possible, and even dropped off meds when in the area for other appointments. Dr. Frazier has introduced us to medications for Lev that no other vet mentioned and that keep Lev more comfortable and protect his joints that are taxed due to doing mobility tasks. Lev is healthier now and I feel way more secure that he is getting the best care available in the Bay Area and beyond. Dr. Frazier is up to date with the newest info and research, which is also uplifting/reassuring. When we were planning a trip to Hawaii, he and his team made the process (Hawaii's rabies-free policies) MUCH simpler. They did this year, too. What's more, they make vet visits way less stressful and know how to deal with BIG dogs like mine! Many vets we'd seen were just sort of scared of him because he's a BIG (but lean, now) German Shepherd. He'd start freaking out when we'd get close. Now, we have a routine down that I would've never thought would be possible. I put him in the backyard w a muzzle (and I give him his sleepy meds two hours before the visit); I then go open the door to let in Dr. Frazier and whichever tech is working w him that day, I return to the back with Lev and then separately, Dr. Frazier and tech come through the house and to the back. Then we do a leash handover. This has worked and increasingly so. It's amazing and we have recently done the visits inside just fine, twice, during storms. Dr. Frazier's exams are more thorough and less rushed than Lev has ever received at area vet clinics. Dr. Frazier and his team tell us what to look out for, and I feel confident that if something is wrong they will know and will have a plan. Plus, they'll still tell us when after-hours urgent care or ER trips are warranted. Again reassuring. Thanks to Dr. Frazier and his team, I feel much better about Lev's well-being. He deserves the very best in the least distressing manner, and he gets that from Dr. Frazier and his team. They are kind, understanding, and patient, and almost feel like family! I was lucky that my sister agreed to re-home a San Francisco relative's two cats. However, their new home would be in Portland. I needed to get the cat health certificate and some shots before I could fly them to their new home. The cats were upset after the death of their owner, and very skittish, so I called Dr. Fraser's mobile Vet to avoid another stressful process (for me and the cats!) Dr. Fraser and his assistant made a house call and managed to wrangle freaked-out cats, do the exam, get them their travel documents and calm me in the process. He gave great advice about how to rehome the cats and how to fly with them. He even suggested a vet come the day of travel to help sedate crate and leash them. Yes Please! Dr Jeff truly is an essential business, helping us shelter in place alongside a kitty with a UTI. Scheduling was easy, and they were able to show up the next morning (my call was after 6pm and the kitty was not "emergency" sick). We invited Frazier mobile to come visit our two kittens. During the visit, they scruffed them to hold them down to check them and get a blood sample. I was disappointed in their care for the following reasons: 1. During the exam, he just went through and said we should do certain bloodwork and test for AIDS, etc even though he knew we got them from reputable breeders - he pushed a lot of services on us knowing we were first time cat owners, and after the appointment, we asked our friends who are cat owners about the services we received and they said it was unnecessary and had the vet asked us more questions, he would have recommended what was actually necessary. The price came out to $800 for 2 cats. 2. One week after their visit, I (human) got diagnosed with Ringworm and it was clear that one of my kittens gave me it given the scabs on his skin that I noticed the day after our appointment. These were not picked up during the vet visit. 3. We emailed them about the ringworm situation on Friday and waited 3 business days until the following Wednesday for an email response despite it being an urgent matter. 4. The same kitten has had diarrhea for the past four weeks, and we have been checking with Frazier at least three times about his diarrhea over email and his recommendation is to give him bland food despite it not working. 5. Prices - call around because the prices we have been quoted from the Nob Hill vet we now use is almost half of what Frazier charges - ie, $45 for a fecal analysis vs the $85 for Frazier's fecal parasite screen. 6. We as first time cat owners asked him if having grains in their diet is bad and he said that recent studies show that cats should have some grains or else it leads to heart problems. THAT IS WRONG. We asked a few other vets and they all said this study is true for dogs, NOT for cats. I was concerned about his knowledge around cats, and having advice like this made us discredit this practice. We paid almost a grand for Frazier to miss diagnosing ringworm even though we found scabs the day after the visit and up charge us on a bunch of things without asking questions to understand our kittens more. If you do decide to use this service, make sure he goes over all the procedures or else they will zip through it and say it's good to get it - for example, we got these two kittens from very reputable breeders who have a warranty on genetic and hereditary issues - But Dr Frazier recommended it was important to test. Later other new vet said that was really overkill given the docs we submitted to him prior to the appointment said they were already negative for this. It seemed like he didn't even read our breeder's docs. Finally, the scuffing was very rough and it seemed more harsh than wrapping or holding them down with a blanket instead. Our cats are 7lbs and they were holding them up in the air by scuffing with no base support for their legs. I normally do not write Yelp reviews, but this one was one I felt strongly about to warn folks especially first time pet owners who are choosing their vet. All in all, it was a disappointment. One star because his wife/assistant was nice during the in-person exam. read more

After a couple bad experiences, my dog had developed some major anxiety about going to the vet. To address this, my old brick-and-mortar vet prescribed sedatives and told me to bring him in for his appointment muzzled. Even with all that, they still refused to examine him because he was still too freaked out! Enter Dr. Frazier, who absolutely blew me away! I knew being examined at home would be easier on my pup, but Dr. Frazier really made the whole experience so much better. He was kind, understanding, professional, took his time, explained everything to me thoroughly, and answered all my questions. We are seniors and have two large dogs, It's difficult to take them to the vet for their wellness care. We discovered Dr. Jeff Frazier last year and were extremely impressed with his care and thorough explanation of his examine process. One of our dogs just had major surgery. It was time for her physical. She is very timid and a big girl. Needless to say, she has been through a rough time.
