So when the 2nd one had a rip I took it toThe Fabric Mill and had "AW" write up an order to have it done. It was discussed and noted by the girl and * the man worker who came and examined the roll of material I had along with the chair requesting the small sample and remaining unused fabric that I never got back. A month or so later I got a call that it was ready for pickup. When I picked it up it was wrapped in plastic and a roll of fabric was given me. Note: the workmanship was very well done, the color close, but it wasn't original material as it is a matt not gloss cover. I called sometime later just to ? If indeed my original fabric was there. IA girl named Janice followed up as AW is no longer there. Her email basically said-its a mystery as she found the man who had done the work on the chair and there is no clarity as to what happened to my fabric and what fabric was used. I asked her for her bosses information and she gave me a name, email and said that he was informed of the situation. I paid a lot of $ , I waited an adequate time, while the work is good and perhaps I may be the only one to notice the difference, I do wonder how to clean the chair as the material is matt and takes the dirt. It was not what I in detail ordered and there was no customer satisfaction efforts made however much the girl tried to be kind to find out. I would have liked the swatch which is gone and clearly would have shown the difference. Again, as noted, I made efforts, I brought the chair, I paid for it and it comes down to how much do I have to fight and take my time up with what is clearly an after the fact- lost battle. As Janice made note in her email, I am supposed to be comforted by the fact that I now have a chair.

Linda's store has an endless selection of fabrics so it could have been an overwhelming experience. It was not! Linda helped me narrow down my search and after a very short time searching through books of fabrics I found exactly what I was looking for. I purchased the fabric with lining as well as the hardware. We had her staff install the finished product and we are so pleased with the result. Her prices are competitive and because she's a small neighborhood store, I felt very well taken care of. I bought sewing patterns here from their $5 box. Patterns were fine but I learned that I had taken…read moremy measurements wrong and now needed a size under. I brought back the patterns to exchange but the owner of the store would not allow it. He said that it was the policy of Butterick that they cannot do exchanges on unopened patterns. However, being that there wasn't a clear inventory system in place and that they were discontinued patterns...I know that he just did not want to accommodate me. Also I listened to his explanation and when I started to plead my case, he interrupted me. I cannot stand bad customer service and so I will not be back to this store.
