If I could give Fred Loya negative stars I would. One of their policy holders rear ended my car on August 24th 2023. I immediately filed a claim and scheduled to repair my car. Fred Loya claimed fault and said they would cover all damages associated with the collision. The Fred Loya "estimate" to repair my car was $800 which they sent me a check for via mail (A bogus estimate there was clearly more damage). They assured me everything was fine and I needed to take my car to a shop, and if additional costs were found, they would supplement it and pay the remaining cost of repair. I took my car into the repair shop which was when they found the actual cost of repair was around $3,200. Realizing the actual cost of repair Fred Loya then deemed my car as a total loss. This was outrageous as I had bought my car from a dealership a year prior and it is worth around $10,000 on the LOWER end of CarFax estimates. I argued with them about the value of my car over a months period of time. Since the accident I have called Fred Loya customer service, the total loss adjustors, managers, supervisiors around 100 times total. I also reached out via email around 15-20 times. It was IMPOSSIBLE to get a hold of someone to talk to (every persons voicemail box was completely full). I filed a complaint with the department of insurance which at point Fred Loya finally began to return my calls. Keep in mind my car has been in the repair shop waiting to get paid for the cost of repair for a month and a half (while also racking up storage fees). The department of insurance informed me it would take 60 business days to process my claim, which I simply couldn't wait for because I need my car to work. After two months of complete aggravation and despair I finally folded. I accepted Fred Loya's total loss compensation for my vehicle which was $2,038 and I paid the remaining cost of repair out of pocket, WHEN THEIR CLIENT REAR ENDED ME AND I WAS NOT AT FAULT. I wanted to take them to court for this nightmare but I simply wanted the situation to end and I could not take it anymore. I can happily say I just got my car back a few hours ago (November 9th, 2023) about $1,300 out of pocket. My car looks brand new and beautiful after repair (WHEN THEY SAID THE CAR WAS TOATLED AND UNDRIVEABLE). This company is an absolute fraud and I pray for anybody who gets their car damaged by a Fred Loya policy holder. These people ARE SICK, they are sly, slick, THIEVES. read more
