My now husband and I walked in on a Tuesday afternoon and left less than an hour later with a great fitting suit for our wedding! He has also re-worn the suit as a wedding guest. The couple who runs this shop make the experience very personal, taking customer preferences into account and searching through the many, many suits to find one that is best fitting and to your liking. The best part -- you'll pay less than a rental from many other places. Plus they give a $15 military discount ! Shopping here was an experience that might only be had in NYC, which is much of what made it so great. I recommend for multiple reasons!

Abraham is a super nice guy and he's happy to work with you to get just what you want. I'm sure the bands once plastered across my chest broadcasts *my* age. In my teens, I borrowed a Marilyn Manson tee a couple sizes too small from my sister & never gave it back. In my twenties, I wore out my Dropkick Murphys one & when I finally retired it, it had that perfect fit that only well-worn t-shirts get. I haven't rocked many music-themed tees since with one exception -- a legendary establishment that transcends time from what I've heard -- CBGB & OMFUG. The Lower East Side houses the packed racks of Ted's Fine Clothing. This is where you want to go for quality band tees. $30-$50 is a small investment for an article of clothing that'll bring you back to your first concert; the first time you ingested, smoked, or snorted a certain drug; or the lyrics that got you through some angry, angst-ridden years. Priceless memories, that sort of thing.
