First and foremost, I have been living in Brunswick Crossing for about 4 years, and going to this Frederick Primary Care Associates since moving into the area. This office's entire staff have always been super friendly when I visited. The check-in staff are always nice to me. The reason for my review is because I would especially like to acknowledge Nurse Practitioner, Stephanie McCombs and her nurse named, Megan. I always schedule my appointments when they are in the office because, they are a phenomenal team. Recently, Stephanie had to give me some very difficult news, and she acted quickly to provide me stellar level of care and sent me to the best specialists. She has supported me in my journey to lose weight naturally, and she has even been culturally sensitive to my needs as an African American woman by referring me to physicians that look like me when necessary to address my medical needs. I have greatly appreciated her for her cultural awareness and for supporting me in this way. She and Megan have always been helpful in providing me with the best quality care when I visited the office. I would also like to mention, Dr. Lerner. I had the pleasure of being seen by him recently and he was very kind, professional, and very helpful. He reminded me of my childhood family physician, Dr. David Keller, who I was a patient of from the time I was born and for more than 20 years of my life when I lived in my hometown of Greensboro, N.C. I say, all of this to say, Dr. Lerner also made me feel at ease. It's not easy finding a good neighborhood medical/doctor's office today where you feel valued as a patient, and get good quality care where people still care for others and mean it. This office does. However, I stay at this one because of my rapport with Stephanie McCombs, NP and Megan (Nurse), and because I know they truly care about their patients. It just shows in how they have cared for me. I just want to thank their entire staff and office team for their medical professionalism, level of quality care, consistent continuity of care and service, and for being amazing to their patients! Wasn't feeling well at all and got almost no sleep. I arrived at the office but was denied my appointment because I was informed I was late. I told the girl at the desk I was indeed there but I was filling out forms that I was instructed to do earlier that morning over the phone. (Even though it was the same exact information from my previous visit) Even though I wasn't late I was again informed that I couldn't see my doctor. The office manager wouldn't even talk to me - the poor girl at the desk had to keep running back and forth to talk to said office manager. I tried again telling the girl at that I wasn't feeling well at all - but was again denied and told I'd have to reschedule. Still waiting on my copay refund. I'm glad I didn't reschedule bc I found out that there's a $120 rescheduling fee! Anyway, I had to go to Urgent Care instead. I will be looking for a new PCP. It's a shame bc the doctors and nurse practitioners are absolutely great. And I also hope the office manager enjoys her power trip and will maybe actually speak with patients in the future. read more

The billing manager called the police on my elderly father after she tried to tell him he had a bill of under $30.00 due. After requesting to view the bill, the billing manager refused. After he repeatedly asked to see the bill, the manager called the police. This woman is the definition of unprofessional. Cruel, bitter, and in a position she shouldn't hold, I think the physicians should reevaluate whom they employee, it seems they have confused Hippocratic with hypocrite when taking their oaths. Reading the other reviews, this shouldn't be much of a surprise. It is a shame when staff forget their mission, they are there for the patients, not the other way around. It made me very sad to leave this practice after 20 plus years. The quality of care had really gone down hill. They are quick to get you in and out, not personable or sympathetic to how you are feeling. I was misdiagnosed numerous times, had to request tests be taken and even had a nurse tell me it was my fault when she was not able to take my blood, which the practice still tried to bill my insurance company for a service that was never rendered nor did they follow up on it. A few weeks ago I called the manager before posting this review. I was told by the receptionist that I could leave a message, but was also told I don't know when she will call you back. In my opinion not very professional. read more

Love FPCA Brunswick and Jefferson. My family has been going here since 2011 and never a problem. I always get a prompt appointment, my questions are always answered in a timely manner, and everyone is always friendly. Sometimes a short wait in the room, but nothing to complain about. Lab staff is great at both locations. Have never done walkin so dont know about that service. Jennie Dorsey really listens and is a great provider. read more

I swear to god I am never coming back here. First off the receptionist was extremely rude to me. I have a terrible sore throat and fever and can't talk. I had my mom call to get me the earliest available appointment. They said it would be quicker for me to do a walk in, which starts at 9 am. I went and checked in and waited. An hour passed. 10 other people went before me (I guess they had appointments). I understand appointments are priority, but they did not leave any available space for any walk ins. What is the point of having walk ins available??? I decided to leave and go somewhere else. They need to learn how to schedule properly. Never coming back. read more

The office staff is unfriendly at best, downright inconsiderate and rude at worst. Billing issues abound; billed for a level 4 complex visit for a 15 minute prescription recheck? No thanks. Quality of the visits is low. These guys give the impression they're just looking to get in and out. They don't take a wholistic approach but reported to my insurance company they discussed nutrition and exercise when they did neither. Nearly impossible to get a return call for any issue, it takes multiple calls for prescription refills and I've given up trying to access my info from their portal. Better off going somewhere else. For the price of health care you deserve a compassionate provider who genuinely takes an interest in your health. read more

The Brunswick office of Frederick Primary Care Associates have cared for my family for over 30 years. They are friendly, thorough and provide great health care. I plan to keep them as my primary care givers for the next 30 years if I live that long. They truly care. read more
