Instead, I went through Harbor Freight and saw they had a $75 off sale on their little wire-feed Titan Welder. I picked one up, along with an auto-darkening face shield and a spool of wire. After watching a couple of YouTube videos to make sure I knew what I was doing, I was able to do a decent fix. (although a lot of splatters, which some friends have since advised me that I was still going too fast) One caution, the helmet dashboard lit up immediately after the unboxing, so I "assumed" it had batteries installed. My second project, the dashboard did not light, so I opened up the battery case, only to find no batteries had been included. Luckily, no permanent damage to my eyes, but the box or instructions never mentioned that no batteries were included.

So today we buy a new one, get it home, it's been returned, had black grease in the threads... and of course.... Doesn't work! Won't prime! We call the store, and guess what?! The 90 days in store warranty that comes with it, you still have to go through the company! They refuse to swap it, or refund it!! So now if we buy yet another one and it's been returned and sold to us as new, we are screwed on that one too!!! Absolute scam of a store. Then Saturday called and talked to a person in service and he told me that the guy working on it was supposed to call me. He said he would call me Monday and believed it needed a carburetor. The gentleman told me they needed $3500 worth of parts to place an order and then he could not find the carburetor to order. He told me he could just give my chainsaw back no cost.
