If you're into raw food for your pooch they've got that covered too. Another thing I've noticed is their cashiers are very efficient, aka fast! Walmart and Superstore should send their cashiers here for training. If I really have to be picky, I'd have to say that this is not a place to bring your children. We can only come when one of us stays in the van with our young children. For one, their shopping carts are small. And secondly, this is a very busy place with limited floor space. Also the parking lot on the weekends is a zoo. But even with these "hindrances" we still manage to buy groceries here.

And now that I have a family of my own, it's a traditional stop for my husband and I (and ALL of our friends!). This market started off as a produce market, selling fruit and veggies from the Wile's farm, and a bakery. Eventually the shop started to expand to include not only the bakery, but also other local produce, a huge garden centre and a gift shop. They've also recently added an area with "comfort food to go". All the recipes used in the bakery are just the same now as they were when the place opened in 1985! And they're FANTASTIC! They're baking from the time they open in the morning until it's all gone in the evening. Everything is delicious, and made in-house - you can even look through the window and see into the kitchen where they're baking up new treats! We love stopping by on the way to the cottage to grab all our fresh fruits, veggies and baked goods. The ladies that work the cash are so helpful, kind and funny. They always remember a face (maybe not your name though!). Stop by Wile's next time you're on your way to Keji (it's on the route, just past exit 13!) or if you're in that end of the province and grab some of their delicious white,brown or raisin bread or a fantastic molasses cookie or freshly baked pie. When you walk into the store, the first thing you notice is all the British imported food and snack items.. Reminds me a lot of my childhood and I usually buy something for nostalgia sake. Right beyond that is beverage display case with all sorts of drinks you'd rarely see elsewhere. I especially enjoy their local and import ginger beer selection, as well as Ribena. Beyond that the store is a mixture of exotic cheeses, excellent produce, a deli, health food aisles and the British butchery. This butchery is especially known for its Nova Scotia lamb, which is the best I've bought anywhere around here. The beef steaks are a close second. Needless to say, due to the nature of the products sold here, the prices are exorbitant.. I keep Pete's as a treat to go buy a few luxury food items if I haven't entirely blown my food budget for the month. If my budget hasn't been blown yet, it's sure to be so once I'm done at the Frootique. While many of the items are quite unique, there are many food items that are..items which can be purchased at your regular grocery store for half the price (ie. many of the dairy products). I also think the space the store occupies is much too small... you constantly feel like you're in a traffic jam trying to navigate the narrowly jam packed aisles, and always a hair breadth away from knocking things over.. the store is so cramped, I picture knocking something over as having a domino effect.. dropped a bag of chips?...there goes the whole aisle. I don't necessarily see this as good customer service, though... since the store is so cramped, if long lines were to form then customers in line to pay would take up half the retail space (I've seen this happen here more than once).
