We rented stand up paddle boards. The boards we had were made of kayak-like material, not fiberglass. That made them easier and steadier to paddle for the kids and in choppy water. Our original rental date had bad weather and Michael quickly communicated to get us a new date! Our boat was upgraded as well as an add on for a lily pad and we are SO glad we had it! Our Deckhand, Kainan, was so great and made sure to check in during the day. He also offered to throw out all the trash at the end of the day which was a so nice! The staff was communicating the entire time about weather and helped make the day perfect! They even let us stay out an extra hour! The boat was beautiful and looked brand new, a local helping on the doc at Lulu's even said "this does not look like a rental at all"! We stayed in Rosemary and it was only a 20 minute drive. We took the boat to Crab Island and stopped at Lulu's on the way! It was so worth it make the drive to Destin on the water and not in a car!! I specifically spoke to multiple people already with the county to confirm that no permit was needed and I was informed that it was a public beach access. Instead of this owner being gracious and polite to tourist he proceeded to yell at me asking me where my permit was and as I explained that I already asked that question and was told it was not necessary he just immediately start saying "bye, get out of here, turn around, bye". Oh and by the way I am a disabled veteran and this was all done on Fourth of July. Oh and by the way this was all done in front of my family and two little kids. I hope this review brings some insight that maybe not everybody is aware of the local rules and policies and to be a little more gracious as human beings. He made sure I knew the cancellation policy on weather conditions and I have to say, they are FAR more generous than any other company I've dealt with. He wasn't afraid to zig zag through the crowd to get us right in the middle of all the fun, which is exactly where we wanted to be. He provided a big floating mat, a beer pong game that was a huge hit with our group, a big Bluetooth speaker, as well as his photo services. He had no problems taking pics of our group for us while we had our fun. He got in the water and played football with the husbands and retrieved drinks and Jell-O shots for the ladies. We could not have asked for anything more! He will be our go-to from now on, no doubt about it!
