Very clean/well kept boats at this establishment. Check in and check out was easy. They communicate instructions for your order and how to find the rental place well. Prices seemed similar to other pontoon rental companies. Paid $850 for boat with 2 slides for 8 hours (that includes tax). Husband was surprised to see no built-in cooler on board (the last pontoon we rented in CA had one). Parking is free and they provide wheel barrels to help you transport your items from car to boat. The boat was great, they booked us last minute! The reservations lady was super helpful on the phone. We Pre tipped the deck hands because it was easier on a credit card. They said they would help us carry out and back all the things. That didn't happen even a little bit. In fact we were barely even pointed to the boat we were on (party of 11). I didn't really plan on needing help but when they asked if I wanted to pretip I asked what the deckhands do. Either way every one needs to make money and they were nice. They only had one bathroom and no cover from the sun while waiting for the boat. Little kids somewhat melt when it's that hot. All and all it was a great adventure, especially a last minute one. The boat did its job and worked well. I would totally do it again. read more

We rented a double decker pontoon and I called the day before to see if they would help us by changing the reservation to a half day since half of our party couldn't make it because they got COVID. We were just inside the 24 hour policy. We even offered to send the test results to prove it. They wouldn't let us change it so we went on a 14 passenger boat with four of us and paid over $800. Don't expect any common courtesy from this company as they are only out to make a buck. They could have rented our boat out for the other half day still but instead decided to just make us pay for the whole day still. Very disappointing. The boat was fine other than the bluetooth radio didn't work the whole day. The guys at True Blue Pontoon Rentals were awesome. I won't rent from Double Fun ever again. They don't seem care about their customers, just their wallets. read more

I have never left a negative review in my life. Our family of 8 (5 and 3 children) rented a pontoon on 8/21, we pre-booked it several days in advance. The day before we called them up as the weather was looking like rain. We spoke to Gary who said not to worry as it's not unusual to get a daily rain shower that wouldn't last more than 20 minutes. We have no problem with a passing shower or two, so we listened to Gary and went ahead with our full day rental. We picked up the boat at 9:30, by 11:30 it was down pouring, I'm taking buckets. It also stared to thunder and lightning. It was a scary situation to be in. We could barely see in front of us and headed for land. It took us about 20 minutes to reach a beach (mind you we have screaming/crying kids) as there is thunder and lightning and rain pelting us in the face. Once we beached the boat, we stood under a little wooden structure for an hour and 30 minutes, waiting for the pouring rain, thunder and lightning to stop. Once it let up, we were soaked, our towels, belongings and our lunch was totally soaked. As we got back on the boat, the rain stared to pick up again, at which point we decided to call it a day and return the boat early at 2:45. I don't expect Double Fun to be weather experts, but I did count on them for checking the radar and keeping our family safe. It was both scary and a waste of our day to let us go out in that sort of condition. I did email this company about my concerns, but I did not get a response back. If I were you, I would book with a different pontoon rental company. read more

As I mentioned in my emails to Double Fun Pontoons, we had a GREAT staff member helping us a few weeks ago when we went to Crab Island. We had motor issues with one of the boats and he came out in another one right away. He also answered his cell phone when we were at Crab Island to help us try to fix the Bluetooth radio. He was very nice, fun and professional. Our time on the boat was great! Overall the experience wasn't bad, and I would have given 5 stars. The reason I am giving 3 stars is due to the no response I have received in regards to some kind of refund for having to wait on a new boat - which means we lost time in our day - and for the new boat not having Bluetooth work the entire time we were at Crab Island. I have emailed several times to discuss this. The experience - 5 stars. Customer service - 3 stars. That's a shame. read more

Rent party barge on sept 24 from 130 till 530 when we arrived we were told that our time changed from 1 till 5 even though email said 130 till 530. Also party barge would not go over 10 miles per hour because front would go jnder water. Would never reccomend this place read more

I would never rent from them again. I was told two different prices for the double decker boat, when I called and reserve it the young lady told me buy it being off season for the dates 9/7/19 it would be $295. When I paid they charged me with tax $420!!! I never received emails or text messages letting me know where to or what time to check in. And please let your employees know that to check for a 21 year old boating license is on the back of the drivers license... that was another damn issue. My daughters 21st birthday celebration was horrible, not to mention that They had me in two different locations to board my boats. Please do not reserve or book through Destin vacation rentals. read more
