I went to the Freedom Drum Circles this summer at Burton Chace Park in Marina del Rey. It was such a wonderful experience, no experience needed, just bring your enthusiasm, they supply the drums and everything else you need. There were people there of all ages, toddlers, children, adults, everyone having fun making music, dancing and having a wonderful time! This is the 2nd summer that they have held their Sunday events. We adore brother Chris and would highly recommend joining any of his drum circles! He's not only one of our favorite facilitators, but my girls and I consider him to be a part of our extended adopted familia as well :) In 2016 I came across REMO, Christopher & Freedom Drum Circles (and so many more other awesome facilitators within this whole drumming community) And I'm so thankful that I did! There were many times when I was having the worst day, sad, cranky af and just not wanting to do sh*t, but coming out from drumming with my daughters/friends would honestly make me feel so much better Drum circles are all about connection of the human spirit with the beauty of music! Freedom Drum Circles (Christopher Ramirez) was a perfect addition to the Salute to Recreation Family Festival (Northridge Recreation Center) June 1-3, 2018. We had Chris and Freedom Drum Circles join us for our Cub Scout Pack meeting. We have Scouts from K-5. They LOVED it. Chris was excellent at not only drumming but instructing the scouts on what to do and when. Of course, at first they were all over the place because hey, you just stuck a drum in front of the 6 year old. His patience was extraordinary and it wasn't long before they were following his lead and drumming as a cohesive group. They all had such a great time and have talked about it many times since then. I was referred to Chris by the drum circle in North Hollywood. The gentleman on the phone told me that Chris is the best, when you need to conduct a drum circle off site. I called Chris before the holidays. He was very responsive. Provided me with his cell phone and emaill address to communicate. You can tell, over the phone, that he has been this a thousand times, and in a professional manner. On the day of the drum circle at my house. He arrived early to set-up. He brought in a good variety of drums and shakers and bell instruments. He talked with everyone in the team, to get a sense of the group vibe.
