Knowing you have a solid, reputable contractor by a huge group of the YELP community takes a lot of that anxiety away. I researched Bear here on Yelp & the company was even BETTER than the 5 star reviews. I had overslept due to said anxiety keeping me up until 4am the night before. They waited for me patiently when I didn't answer the door, didn't answer the phone, or respond the text. I was KNOCKED OUT & didn't hear my 5 alarms! I did however hear my cat HOWLING telling me, WOMAN GET YOUR #### UP! Bear Could have easily just left. I had been holding off on getting these things done due to said anxiety so going thru finding someone else & scheduling again would have been pure horror for me. I am so grateful they were EARLY & had some extra time to wait for me. I also had a big event (Yelpies) the same day so I was so concerned about being late but Bear was 15 mins early which to them is how they operate. They had my 8 requests we aligned on up & memorized. We called Texas electrical connect after a different electrician couldn't figure out why 3 outlets…read morein our kitchen went dead even after 2 hours of "diagnosing" and told us he would need 6-8 hours at $175 per hour to diagnose the problem and cut a bunch of holes in our Sheetrock. We did not want to do that without knowing what the problem was. Texas electrical connect sent Fernando to our rescue! He was super polite and courteous and considerate and very methodical and diligent in his troubleshooting. He figured it out (no holes needed to be cut!) and was super efficient and tidy with his repairs. He took the time to explain to us what had happened and clearly explained the recommended repair and cost. On the day of the project, he worked most of the day in the Texas heat and meticulously ran external conduit to our back yard, installed a disconnect box, and ran power to the swim spa. We hired Austin's Texas Electrical Services of Austin (TECL #29127). One part of this was…read moreinstalling an outdoor outlet, which requires running a conduit. For this they used a flex conduit and to hold the flex conduit outdoor-rated fasteners need to be used. This was clearly not the case, as there is corrosion and rust clearly visible on the fasteners that were used to hold the conduit (see pictures). I'm sure of this because we also had conduit installed by another electrical contractor for another purpose on a similar exterior wall on the other side of the house that has zero corrosion on it. I reached out to them several times over the span of 4 weeks regarding this, and didn't hear back once. I also specifically remember that the person sent out to do the work was very rude and difficult to work with. This was particularly relevant for hanging a chandelier, since it ended up crooked and he didn't ask for feedback until after he had already taken down his scaffolding, and wasn't willing to put it back up. So to this day we still have a misaligned chandelier. Cost isn't all that matters. For what this level of quality you're better off either learning to DIY, or paying more to hire a better company if you want everything done right and good customer service.

They cracked the drywall and will not reimburse for the repair…read more I had a new direct line ran for a new outlet to the circuit box. When they were in the attic running the wire down the wall to the circuit box, for some reason they had a issue getting the wire down the wall. Whatever tool they used cracked the drywall directly on the other side of the wire. It was a pain having the drywall fixed. I had to remove my TV for the dry wall guy, take time off of work, and have the whole wall painted so it would blend in and not look like a patch job. The owner said he would reimburse me for the bill for the repair. I sent him a copy of what I paid the drywall guy but he has not gotten back to me. It is very hard to contact this company, if you call you will find you always get voicemail. I should of known better. Very dishonest company, I would stay far away from these guys even for a simple job like mine. Update 1: The owner texted me to let me know he intends to reimburse me but he has just been to busy. It's been over a week and I have not gotten any refund, so I feel there is dishonesty in this. Update 2: The owner never reimbursed me. As I suspected, he was lying. I lost quite a bit of money for a relatively simple job. If only I chose another company.
