All were prompt in their responses and provided well written proposals. Only Grayzer included the cost of a permit in their proposal. Further a friend had their wall panel upgraded and their Tesla Wall Connector installed by Grayzier and recommended them highly. After looking at the reviews for the different certified installers, and given that a permit is required in my town to install an EV charger, I went with Grayzer. They provided a date and service window ( a week in advance of my appointment ) and the electrician, Max, pinged me about an hour prior to his arrival. I showed Max my ideal location for the Tesla Wall Connector and he was able to accommodate without having to cut away any drywall or running conduit outside the wall ( YMMV ). Very friendly, professional and knowledgable. He took the information/pictures required by Tesla and by my town's permitting authority, commissioned the Wall Connector, showed my how to add it to the Tesla Application on my iPhone and verified that it was charging at the specified rate (48 amps). He was happy to answer any questions I might have, and I am just delighted by the service and work done. I would recommend highly to friends, neighbors, et al. All in all, quick, fast, efficient, and professional. Cleaned up work area when done. Thank you!

While he was here, my patio door handle completely broke off (totally unrelated to his work--someone else in my house broke it). He gave me some informal advice about what replacement part I'd need. Then when he had to run to the home improvement store to grab something for the outlet installation, he offered to pick up the door handle for me too. That kind of thoughtfulness and going the extra mile was great to see and highly appreciated since I had a busy day dealing with kids before a trip. I've been managing properties for a long time and have five different properties. Not once have I ever seen a company. Tried to take advantage of a homeowner like this. I absolutely would never give this business a dime. The tech also did not seem very knowledgeable and was not willing to even figure out why there was no power to two rooms and an outlet.

For this they used a flex conduit and to hold the flex conduit outdoor-rated fasteners need to be used. This was clearly not the case, as there is corrosion and rust clearly visible on the fasteners that were used to hold the conduit (see pictures). I'm sure of this because we also had conduit installed by another electrical contractor for another purpose on a similar exterior wall on the other side of the house that has zero corrosion on it. I reached out to them several times over the span of 4 weeks regarding this, and didn't hear back once. I also specifically remember that the person sent out to do the work was very rude and difficult to work with. This was particularly relevant for hanging a chandelier, since it ended up crooked and he didn't ask for feedback until after he had already taken down his scaffolding, and wasn't willing to put it back up. So to this day we still have a misaligned chandelier. Cost isn't all that matters. For what this level of quality you're better off either learning to DIY, or paying more to hire a better company if you want everything done right and good customer service.

They cracked the drywall and will not reimburse for the repair…read more I had a new direct line ran for a new outlet to the circuit box. When they were in the attic running the wire down the wall to the circuit box, for some reason they had a issue getting the wire down the wall. Whatever tool they used cracked the drywall directly on the other side of the wire. It was a pain having the drywall fixed. I had to remove my TV for the dry wall guy, take time off of work, and have the whole wall painted so it would blend in and not look like a patch job. The owner said he would reimburse me for the bill for the repair. I sent him a copy of what I paid the drywall guy but he has not gotten back to me. It is very hard to contact this company, if you call you will find you always get voicemail. I should of known better. Very dishonest company, I would stay far away from these guys even for a simple job like mine. Update 1: The owner texted me to let me know he intends to reimburse me but he has just been to busy. It's been over a week and I have not gotten any refund, so I feel there is dishonesty in this. Update 2: The owner never reimbursed me. As I suspected, he was lying. I lost quite a bit of money for a relatively simple job. If only I chose another company.

While I had a basic idea of what I wanted, I debated getting a formal project manager to handle coordination of the full install. With a ton of experience doing this kind of install, Marcus helped out so much that I was pretty much able to handle coordination of the main pieces and personnel without needing to hire anyone else. He did a great job making the vision come alive and was transparent with any problems that arises (and importantly fixing them when necessary). He was friendly, fair with pricing, and also very quick-- framing and installation took only 2 separate, spread out days (to allow for drywalling and parts arrival in between). My personal experience with him in terms of communication was excellent, but I also purposefully avoided peak summer season so as not to catch him at a busy time. I would not hesitate to hire him again.

We moved into a new house on the east side of Austin several months ago. While we'd had our builder…read moreinstall built-in desks and shelves in our study, we found the cost very high (and the quality lacking). Our 14' long living room wall looked very stark with its small TV cabinet and wall-mounted TV set, and we realized we needed something more in proportion with the room. So I looked on Yelp and found Josh Hager...and followed up with his website. I was impressed with the size of the projects he tackled, so figured he might be able to do a good job for us. Josh responded quickly to my first e-mail and came over within a matter of days to give us an estimate. He looked over my drawings and came up fairly quickly with a cost I found reasonable. Josh inspired so much confidence that we asked him that same evening to look at another space (upstairs) that needed a built-in. Once again, the estimate was reasonable. A week or so later, we thought of another project Josh could tackle: our master closet. Again, a reasonable estimate. We gave him deposits for all three projects. Josh is very busy, and with good reason. He does excellent work at reasonable prices, is totally honest and does not inflate the costs of materials. He uses good-quality materials (no MDF, thank heavens!) And Josh makes recommendations that improve on whatever you might have in mind, based on his breadth of experience. It's all about quality at a reasonable price. Josh uses great hinges on cabinet doors; soft close and push-button removable. Further, his estimates for both materials and labor, at least in our case, were spot-on relative to what we ended up paying. We felt it was worth waiting a few months before Josh could get to our project. Our largest projects were installed by Josh and a helper in a couple of days. The paint-grade wood and great workmanship made the wall units look so nice that we were tempted to leave them unpainted. We actually did leave the interiors of the cabinets unpainted...and they look great. Josh was able to connect us with a painting company to do the finish work within a week or so after he completed installation. The end results were phenomenal; the cabinets Josh built totally changed the look and feel of our rooms in a good way. The quality of his work and the scale of the project made the cabinets a focal point in our living room. We are very pleased and won't hesitate to call Josh again if we need any wood work. Lastly, it's now been about 4 years since our cabinets were installed and painted. I've updated my rating to 5 stars due to how well the cabinets have performed for us over the years. Side comment: I find it odd that so many reviews were screened out, given I can tell many (if not most) are legitimate, based on photos on the Triple Crown website.

The technician arrived promptly, diagnosed the problem efficiently (faulty fan motor on my Carrier unit), and completed the repair within a couple hours, including a trip to source the part from their vendor. The Concerning The final cost was $2,303.60 for what I've since learned should typically cost $700-$1,000 (that is including emergency service fees). While I understand emergency calls command premium pricing, this felt excessive. Additionally, the quoted price increased from $2,000 to $2,303.60 when it was time to pay without clear explanation of the additional charges. My Takeaway Apex delivers on availability and technical competence when you're in a crisis. However, I'd strongly recommend getting multiple quotes if time permits, as their emergency pricing appears significantly above market rate. The convenience of immediate service came at a steep premium that I wasn't prepared for. Would I use them again? Only in a true emergency where no other options exist, and I'd request detailed pricing breakdowns upfront. For future customers: Get clear, written estimates before work begins, and ask about all potential additional fees.

I had a fuse that kept tripping and needed it replaced. I messaged TEC and sent them pics. They provided me a quote and sent a tech out the next day. He was one of the most polite and nice techs we have had the pleasure of meeting. He inspected the breaker, panel, and the line all the way to the outlet it serviced. Several years ago, Airco installed a 3-ton variable-speed system in a house that had previously had a 2-ton unit (and a history of trouble keeping cool). After about a year of operation, our tenants reported mold in the ducts, high humidity, and a short-cycling unit. Our investigation found that the installer, Stuart, had never pulled a permit for the work. I want to be candid: it took a negative Yelp review to get Airco's attention. Jeremy reached out, recommended we upsize the ductwork, offered a very fair price, and agreed to close out the permits. I'm slow to trust, so I got second and third opinions from other HVAC companies -- they confirmed the system size was correct for the house, and that the ductwork should have been upsized at the original install. My own Manual J calculations agreed with Jeremy's. Notably, Jeremy was the only installer I could find who was actually willing to run a Manual J. He also followed through on pulling permits and getting the city inspection scheduled. Airco worked to schedule the new duct installation during the one week we'd be in town -- during peak season, no less -- and their crew moved fast and stayed professional, which I appreciated given how brutal a Texas attic is this time of year. A few days in, the system is no longer short-cycling, and indoor humidity has dropped to about 63%. Still a touch higher than ideal, but we think we can chase the rest of it down -- possibly window seals, possibly fan settings or duct leakage. I was impressed enough that I also used Airco for a plumbing call this week.

What made the experience particularly notable is that we had been service members with Radiant for the past four years. When we called them, the earliest prioritized appointment they could offer us was two weeks away, despite having no working AC in 100 degree weather. That experience prompted us to call Service Wizard instead, and I am very glad we did. Jeremiah was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. He took the time to explain what he was checking and what he found, without trying to sell us repairs or services we did not need. He also discovered that during a previous service visit, Radiant had installed the condensation shutoff on the secondary drain line rather than the primary line, where it should have been installed. I really appreciated Jeremiah catching and explaining that issue. Between the emergency availability, Jeremiah's knowledge and professionalism, and the overall experience, I was impressed enough to sign up for Service Wizard's membership before he left. After four years with another company's service plan, that says quite a bit. I feel much more confident knowing we have Service Wizard to call going forward. **1/5 Stars - Big Waste of Time (and almost a lot of money)**…read moreI wanted to like Service Wizard, but my experience with them was incredibly frustrating. My AC condensation pipe was completely backed up and needed to be flushed. Their tech arrived on time and seemed very professional, spending about an hour and a half working on the unit and inspecting everything inside and out. However, he couldn't find where the evaporator line exited the house. His solution? Install an external pump and run a whole new drain line. The rough estimate for that was, well, a hell of a lot more than the $15 fee they charged me just to come out and take a look. When he left, I still had the exact same broken AC, was stressing over an exorbitant bill to fix it, and somehow found out I'd been signed up for a $15-a-month service plan that entitled me to another check-up in six months just in time for winter. Hoping to just get it resolved, I reached out to Service Wizard via Yelp later that evening to see if they could come back today to do the work the tech recommended. I never got a response. Frustrated, I called a different AC company. They actually answered the phone, sent technicians out right on time today, and those guys spent **five minutes** at my house before finding the external line, repairing it, and flushing my system. Problem completely solved in under five minutes, and the fee was incredibly cheap compared to the massive quote I got from Service Wizard. I will definitely be canceling my $15-a-month contract with Service Wizard and won't be recommending them going forward. Save yourself the headache and call someone else!

We had our compressor die in our 14 year old unit and I paid extra to have Wang come out to Bastrop after speaking with him on the phone and I am so glad I did. We weighed our options and ended up replacing the whole unit instead of compressor due to the cost of replacing older equipment and Wang and his apprentice did a phenomenal job! I'd recommend him to anyone needing HVAC repairs and I'll be calling him again when my other 14 year old unit decides it's had enough. Fingers crossed we have some time though! Price was right, communication was great and things went smoothly and it's great to support our locally owned and operated businesses.

I was feeling nervous about finding someone ASAP who would be reliable and wouldn't give me the runaround on price or pushing additional services. And I was already making plans to stay the night at a friend's house for fear I couldn't get anyone to come out on such short notice. Xiaoyu responded to my voicemail in less than five minutes, he was able to come out within a few hours, and fixed my AC within 30 minutes, all by dinner time! On top of all that, his price was reasonable and he was a genuinely kind and friendly guy. I will definitely keep his number handy for next time! :)
