A salesperson came to my door today. When I said no, he clearly became agitated and pointed to my Jeep saying even with me pulling from PGE for my hybrid. I restated. That I already said no. He gave me the wave off and basically said whatever. Then as he walked away he said enjoy that high bill. He was so rude I had to go back to my Nest and review it. I saw him at the neighbors and I said to her I wouldn't use him. He is rude. He then started smarting off again. I walked to the neighbors yard standing on the sidewalk and was confronting him about his rudeness. He then said that when I told him no I was hiding behind my screen door. I told him that I wasn't behind my screen door anymore. He said if I touched him, he would own my house. However, he never stopped talking rudely. My wife got 90% on camera plus the nest. He then said, you just blew up the neighborhood. He then decided to leave and we continued to argue as he walked past my house. He never stopped talking crap as he went down the block. When I asked through ring what they needed they continually said they can't discuss over the Ring camera and that I had to come to do the door. Requested service in August in order to receive the 30% tax rebate, ff were the lowest estimate and we were urged to hurry as the trump administration has cancelled all federal solar incentives as of new year's day, so we signed a contract and remitted $1000 deposit. They confirmed an installation date in September but here we are in February 2026 and we still haven't got solar and the rebate has expired. It will now cost an extra ten thousand to go ahead or we can sign a new lease contract that signs away all ownership and rights of the generated power even though we are paying in full upfront. It's either sign this shady contract, pay an extra ten grand or lose our earnest money! AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. We paid over $100,000 for a ground-mount system. The company confirmed an install window of Dec 23-26, 2025, requested full payment, and within five minutes of payment clearing in PayKeeper, called to say they could not install in time for the 30% tax credit. I made countless calls trying to resolve this, and no remedy or assistance was ever offered. To make matters worse, the salesperson, Dominic Pardini, began harassing me. He also stated that they needed to increase my contract price because they "missed" something, and implied that if I didn't agree, his pay or commission would be docked. Completely unprofessional and inappropriate. When I attempted to cancel, I was told it would take 60 days to receive my money back and that they would withhold $1,000. Multiple emails went unanswered. I ultimately had to send a formal legal letter, file complaints with the California Attorney General and the CSLB, just to get the project canceled and my money returned. We completed our solar project in late April. We questioned our sales rep, Grant Ortland if had enough panels. He assured us we did, and we will not have any electric charges from PG&E. He also said if we need more panels, it is easy to add 2-3 at any time. When we got our first PG&E bill after having solar for a full month, we were shocked to see a significant electric charge. When we contacted Grant, we were told we can't get any more panels unless we get a minimum of eight. Somewhat depressing to think this is a 25-year contract and it appears we will always have an electric bill in addition to the solar bill. Bill K. read more

Initially, they were really nice, promised me $1500, and called to give me updates, but then everything stopped. They placed my panels and "ghosted". Door to door salesmen keep coming back even after we told them we're not interested. They give attitude when asked to not come back.

Really wanted to believe that Freedom Forever was trying to clean up their customer service issues but they haven't. Our neighbor used them for their solar so decided to take a chance despite reading less than stellar reviews. Had solar installed at the end of October 2023, the installers broke several roofing tiles on the roof, kicking the broken pieces on the ground and leaving them there. Their own installers said that they broke a bunch of them, took photos and said they would need to be replaced but getting Freedom Forever to lift a finger to fix their damage has been impossible. I follow up with them every week, and every week am told the same thing, "we are sourcing the roof tiles" except that's it's now been almost 4 months without resolution. On top of that they tore a giant hole into the drywall in our garage and left it there open to the inside wall. Freedom Forever refuses to take responsibility for their shoddy work. They rushed the install then never follow up. Once they get paid good luck getting them to answer the phone. Personal recommendation: get your solar somewhere else. read more

Also bags of clips and spare parts were also thrown from roof with no one below and then left behind. While there the homeowner politely asked them to move their vehicle out of the driveway so the flooring guys could bring in an entire house worth of flooring from the trailer, they ignored homeowner and never moved vehicle out of way! The flooring contractor had to move every box from street into house. Then they proceeded to place tools and tool belt in walkway and leave their vehicle doors wide open to block walkway! Very rude and unprofessional even the homeowner was upset as they put the power box on the wrong side of the fence and his HOA doesn't allow that. My senior parents were take advantage of and a credit line of $9,000 was opened with Mosaic after cancellation of contract. They were told they need to still make payments on time or it would affect them negatively. This has been since January 2024. My parents have tried to get this resolved. I've called and they have no business process or procedures on how to get to a resolution. PLEASE STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY. Disrespectful crew that came out to do the work. I was met with an attitude as if I was in their way of doing a job. They discouraged me from asking questions to make sure everything was in order. It turned out that they had the wrong plans and/or the installer was looking off of a completely different set of plans. As a result, they drilled 7 unnecessary holes into my brand new 45K roof. They fought me every bit of the way to install the right layout. On top of this, the guy was extremely rude when I asked questions about painting and what it would take to remove the conduit from the wall. The guy was an ass and he said "you can do whatever you want". The installation was not what I expected. The rails are not in a straight line and the panels a bit wavy. To cap off everything, there were smudges, handprints, and fingerprints on the solar panels. They refused to wipe them off and said it's not their job and that the rain would wash it off, which is BS. Only after threatening them and calling their office, they were a little nicer but they did not have any cleaning materials. This is the same as buying a new car and the outside is dirty and the inside needs vacuuming. Installing attempted to clamp the conduit under my cable wires and the hole the drilled into my house for the electrical feed had no grommet. They only used DAP. The fuc*** said that's how we are trained. They don't give a sh** about the house look bad and forcing the owner to redo their work. Be very careful because Project Solar uses these guys. Very poor communication. Installation team does not understand inspectors requirements. We are on the fifth inspection and 2 out of 4 requirements have not been completed. During one inspection their technician dropped and damaged the battery and freedom almost didn't want to replace it. A few weeks later they show up to replace it. Buyers beware- although the Contract states "you may cancel this contract without any penalty or obligation within 5 businesses days" that is false. Once you sign the contract you are obligated to their security equipment which is a minimum of $1200. Completely mislead, and stuck with a $1200 equipment bill for a security system not installed , and was only taking it because it was free with the install. A person from Freedom knocked on my door and told me there was a PGE program I might qualify for at no cost to me all I had to do was schedule one of their engineers to come out and look at might current solar panels and my true-up bill from PGE. I asked for the guys business card and he said he gave the last one to a previous customer. I scheduled a time for the engineer to come the following Monday at 11 and he showed up at 9. I was supposed to get a call confirming the time but it never happened. The "engineer " proposed a whole new system with a solar battery in addition to the one I already had and it wasn't free. He took all my information and said he would get back to me. I asked him for his business card and he told me the same thing he gave he's last one out earlier but he would email his info to me. I have avoided putting a business on blast as it is hard to determine where the fault here completely lies as whenever I reach out I seem to be stuck between departments and the main office and the local branch in Livermore. In general the cost and the installation seemed to be done fine and in a timely manor. So here is an extensive list of issues since then. 1) During the installation on my brand new home with a brand new roof broken tiles were simply and poorly glued together and was not easily noticeable until later. Despite documentation, drone camera images from a sales rep, numerous calls, and emails still 5 years later no effort has been made to correct or remedy this matter. 2) During the initial installation part of the array was improperly installed and was not flashed, this was not noticed until last December when we finally had significant rain resulting in over $20,000 in property damage and related costs to repair. A Freedom Forever technician noticed the issues and acknowledged the error. The panels have been correctly repaired and are now flashed properly. However almost a year later and Freedom Forever has been giving my insurance the run around and I am still on the hook for almost $2000 in uncovered costs related to their negligence. 3) In September my inverter failed, I did not notice the issue until late October when my True Up came in. I usually owe maybe $10 but this time it was over $300. They evidently ordered the part in late October and even though it is at the Livermore branch and has been for sometime the earliest install date is mid January which means I'll have 4 months without solar costing me hundreds of dollars. I have spent many many hours with customer service, and I must say their reps have been wonderful and always amazed how patient I have been. I can however not recommend a company with such poor management and I strongly suggest no one uses them for a solar project. At this point I am ready to start seeking legal actions to recover my losses. read more

These guys were subcontracted on my install. They messed up placement of one group, but moved it a few weeks later where it needed to go, and unfortunately I now have additional roof penetrations on a brand new roof. They said they were unsure about the placement, but never got clarification on it, just went ahead. I wasn't going to neg on them for that though. Now that it's installed and paid for, it's impossible to get them to do anything. An enphase IQ8+ went out after 2 months of service, chatting with them they denied there was an issue. I contacted enphase, and enphase said yea, you have an issue and sent me a replacement microinverter. I called Freedom Forever to get the replacement swapped out and it's been a month and they haven't even called to schedule the replacement, just says there's a ticket. The company I contracted the install with is asking on my behalf every day for FF to do something, still nothing. read more

1/6/22 A Freedom Forever roofer is coming today to "assess" our panels and roof. Our leaks started around 12/19/21, and this is the first sign of help from Freedom Forever. Mary from Freedom Forever who has been responding to my review on Yelp, has gone silent. The escalation coordinator from Freedom Forever has also gone silent since 12/27/21. Although this rating doesn't apply to all people I've been in contact with, the first electrician ruined the electrical panel trying to jam in too much into the small box and cut into the wall stucco to hide conduit even with other exposed conduit in a hidden part of the home. We have to replace panel with larger one and are get raked through hell with our local utility company. As a good electrician said who is not associated with this project, utility companies hold all the cards and make you do unreasonable work before the new panel can be installed. This being unnecessary if Freedom had done a decent job in the first place. Freedom's response from regional management to these issues? None as they apparently hope the problem will disappear if they ignored it. The exception was one regional manager who took an interest once we demanded customer service give us a contact, but then he left the company, probably for good reason. So here we are on Day 100 since the installation, having multiple emails go unanswered and a customer service who take no action on case filings. I thought the company must be going out of business,but then read they are gaining market share. It's confounding that such a horrible company is growing so much. They did send out a good electrician who had never seen such a bad job in his 20 years and pledge to fix it right, but he's probably left the company. The installation of the panels appears to be done professionally and correctly, so still hoping one day I can tap into the Sun. read more

You're expected to manage the entire project yourself when dealing with them. They clearly do not value their customers. All contact attempts go through a centralized call center in Vegas, so don't expect to hear from the local management team actually doing the work. The only thing they are saying is "we will do reimbursement" and even penny I never seen a refund. I have been in contract with Freedom Forever for over 15 months. At this point, FF still does not have a permit to install the panels on my home. Our contract states that they will be paid at 100% installation, but apparently my loan company has paid out 88% of the funds: without my approval or knowledge! The only thing FF has completed is a partial reroof. I am satisfied with the job the subcontractor did, but the appropriate funds might be more like 33% of the loan amount. I have no permit, no panels, no solar power but have started making payments to Mosaic. I am beside myself with anxiety over this project and can't get any satisfaction from Freedom Forever.
