Kingdom Solar has installed two solar systems for me. One for the main house and one for the ADU. I started my solar journey in March of 2022. A neighbor referred a company to me, and ultimately I fired them as they ghosted me. Then, I started with company number two. Again I was ghosted. In 2024, Chris and Kingdom Solar were recommended to me. When I talked with Chris, he assured me that he would not ghost me and he has been true to his word. The work and the communication from Kingdom Solar has been top notch. The system on the main house was completed in 2024 and the one for the ADU in 2025. There were some small issues along the way, but Chris and his team were communicative and helpful in resolving the issues. I highly recommend Kingdom Solar. read more

I could not figure out how to get the service transferred and get the panels up and running. I called a couple of different solar companies in the area, but they said they would not help me unless they installed the panels. If you are looking for a solar company that is dependable, reliable, efficient, skilled, and experienced, look no further. These folks came right to my house immediately after I asked for a quote and Chris Paredes, the owner/electrician, spent a ton of time with me explaining everything about solar, how it works, etc. He does not speak down to you but takes the time to educate you in detail...more than you even need. He does not rush through things and is very thorough. My system was on my roof within 3 weeks and it's neat and tidy. They did an exceptional job and the system is working like a charm. They will provide their advice for key decisions you have to make, which I really appreciated, but also allow you to make decisions if you have preferences. And, most important, they take care of all the permitting and forms that PG&E require you to submit. it was turnkey. so easy and it's so good. They are super busy right now as the tax credit is expiring but they fit me in and were very responsive. We are SUPER HAPPY with our system and with Kingdom Solar. Kingdom Solar added a battery back-up system to the original solar installation they did for us in 2023. (Five star review then, too.) They did an excellent job, despite the battery project being somewhat complicated due to the layout of our house. About a week after the batteries were installed, PG&E implemented a 48-hour power shutdown in our neighborhood (due to high winds.) The battery backup system worked seamlessly & kicked in automatically. We're SO glad to no longer have to haul out the generator & extension cords every time the power goes out - which happens frequently here. Great job, Kingdom Solar! Five stars. Chris was absolutely fantastic. He came in at my budget, while other were over from by thousands. He even had one of his crew members come before any signed contract to check out the roof and meter. Going into solar I knew exactly the system I wanted, while other's were giving me different panels to try to make the budget. Chris, came in on budget with the equipment I wanted. There were no games, no sales tactics, and no pushiness. He is all technical and knows this industry. Additionally, his whole crew is knowledgeable, technical, and know how to interact with a customer (no third party crew). They really take care of your install. On to the install, I signed the contract with Chris on March 28th, Kingdom Solar came on March 31st and April 1st to do the job. They were completely finished by mid day on April 1st. I had my system running since then, and the only other formalities were left was the city approval and pge connection. The city official came out and approved it a week later and then Chris's team put the pge approval. Now I am just waiting on PGE to start my NEM2 connection, they are slow but once it's connected ~ no more electricity bill! I recommend Chris and his team for your solar project any time and any day! My second time experience with Kingdom Solar. Recently we needed to upgrade our roof so I contacted Chris (owner of Kingdom Solar). His company had installed our panels about 4 years ago. For the new roof to be installed, Kingdom solar first had to remove the panels, and after the new roof came on to reinstall the panels. The whole project went off with clockwork precision thanks to Kingdom solar. They coordinated with the roofers, removed and replaced the panels swiftly and efficiently. As we bought an EV we also used this opportunity to add a few extra panels. Kingdom staff was very professional and kept me in the loop throughout the process. I remembered some of their staff from four years ago. I heard Kingdom Solar had grown in the past four years which didn't surprise me one bit. I called Kingdom Solar on Friday 8/13/2021 and spoke with Chris. I told Chris I needed a new inverter installed and I had the inverter in my possession. I also informed him my system had been installed by Peterson Dean. Chris stated he would be able to install my inverter. I made appointment for Wednesday 8/18/2021. Chris called back back about 30 minutes later and said he could have his technician come out the following day, Saturday 8/14. His technician John called me and set up the time for Saturday, first am. John arrived on time and had my new inverter installed in 90 minutes. John kept me informed every step of the way. He was extremely personable and answered all my questions. Kingdom Solar is a family owned business. Called up Chris for a take down and re-install of our solar panels due to a new roof being put on. I needed it done within the next week since I had already schedule the roofers to come on a set date. Chris was very accommodating and schedule his crew to come a day before the roofers started and reinstall them back the day after they finished. Chris kept in contact throughout the whole procedure. Kingdom Solar came to my house and took down the solar panels with care and stored them in my garage. They came back a week later and reinstalled the panels. They even cleaned them prior to putting them back on. Ricky, one the the installers noticed some condensation in the pipes when it was taken down and said he would drill some vent holes on the bottom to let any new condensation drain out when he came back the following week. Chris did me a great service, getting to the problem by guiding me over the phone. As directed by him, I snapped photos of the inverters and breaker boxes. He gave detailed step by step instructions to find the cause. Very patient, very knowledgeable and very friendly. Found external breaker had tripped but was still in ON position, hence I did not suspect it. Luckily that was the only issue. Even after spending about an hour with me, he declined to charge anything. Kingdom Solar (Chris) designed and installed the solar power system on our home last September and both the process of working with him and the performance of the system has been outstanding. We started by getting four quotes from highly rated contractors. While all were easy to work with during the estimation phase, Chris stood out by being the most responsive (generally immediate reply), easy to communicate with, and demonstrated the deepest level of knowledge on all aspects of the project. He also offered the best overall price for the project. Based on Chris's initial proposal as well as other competing bids, I did a lot of research and ended up changing some of the aspects of the system's design based on my personal preferences. Chris was very easy to work with and flexible on the changes and was happy to provide pros and cons of various options. While the system itself didn't necessarily require an electrical panel upgrade, I decided to include it as part of the project which Chris was also happy to take on. Chris was also very helpful with the roof mount sealing portion of the project. My roof was relatively new so it wasn't redone as part of the solar project, but my roofer had requested that when I install solar that I should have them do the mount sealing work. I got their estimates and Chris advised that they were unnecessarily high. He offered to get a competing estimate from a reputable roofer that he typically worked with and it was about 50% less expensive. Thanks to Chris I saved quite a bit on this part of the project. The end-to-end install itself took several days of total effort, between the mount installation, roof sealing, solar panel and microinverter installation, and main electrical panel upgrade. The communication was very clear and easy with Chris and his team. I always knew what the plan was for each day and what was happening next. Inspection and permits were all flawless. Really couldn't have gone any better. Now it's nine months later and the Panasonic panel and Enphase microinverter solar power system is working perfectly, generating the amount of power as estimated - which will cover our entire house and electric car power requirements. I also like how easy it is to see how much power the system is generating via the Enphase web and app. Finally, the roof seals all stood the test of the past rainy winter. To sum up, from someone who is pretty demanding and pays a lot of attention to details, I highly recommend Kingdom Solar and Chris for your solar project! read more

I've been in the market looking for solar for my home and reached out to a few different companies to learn more and get quotes. Kingdom Solar took the time to walk through the entire process with me and was patient explaining all of the nuances of solar (including the installation process, pros/cons of battery storage, etc). Their quote to install solar was extremely competitive and easy to understand. My goal was not to get ripped off and know that the installer would use the best equipment while providing a high quality installation. Because of this, I started educating myself on what a great solar install looked like and what was a competitive offer before I started interviewing installers and collecting solar bids. I only hire companies if people have great things to say about them. Because of this, I contacted some companies that had great yelp reviews and chose to see what they offered. Kingdom Solar was one of these companies. I asked for a quote on their website and shortly after, I was contracted by Chris (the owner). My initial impression of Chis was a good one. He noticed that I seemed educated and asked if I had an idea of what I wanted. I told him what I was looking for and he made some recommendations. I told him I would look into his recommendations. (Spoiler: He was spot on in his recommendation according to my research) He designed my system using his computer while I was on the phone with him and then sent me an email proposal/quote. Based on my research, I thought the quote was priced fairly, but I had nothing to compare it to yet. All I knew is that Chris offered the best equipment, a great solar design on the roof, and seemed like he would be really great to deal with. Later that week, I had a few more quotes from other companies. They were significantly more expensive and used lower end equipment. I was shocked considering these companies had many 5 star reviews. One of those companies wanted to place the panels on the east side of my roof (when it is common knowledge that the west side is superior). Another, (medium sized company with hundreds of 5 star reviews) quoted an inverter that wouldn't handle the size of my solar array and would end up clipping power (they apologized when I called them out on it and then quoted the proper inverter at a significant price increase). It blows my mind considering that most people wouldn't be educated enough to know this information and that the trust the solar company to quote the correct equipment for a particular job. I emailed Chris because I wanted some items changed on my quote. I received a call from him within minutes and we had a fantastic conversation. After sending me an updated quote, I told him that I may be interested. He was not pushy at all and informed me that the next step was an on-site survey. I scheduled one for that weekend. Chris came by that weekend (on time) and checked out my electrical panel. I asked him some difficult questions to test his knowledge on solar (He passed). Lastly, he got on my roof, took measurements, and ensured that his software was accurate in panel placement design. I shared a few concerns I had regarding installation. My roof is only 2 years old and I wanted to make sure my roof penetrations were properly waterproofed. In fact, the thought of having people walk on my costly and fragile concrete roof had my stomach turning. He addressed my concerns and went above and beyond by agreeing to install using the methods I had wanted. He still was not pushy and told me to contact him if I had anymore questions and then left. Later that week, I signed. Installation day came shortly afterwords. Chris and his crew were on time for the installation. Chris briefed them on the job and reviewed the plans. I got met each person working on the job and they got started. I'm a picky homeowner and wanted things done a certain way. I was there monitoring the job the entire time and the crew was fantastic making any accommodations I requested. They did attic work, so no conduct is visible on the roof and painted any exposed conduit so it blends into the background. I was in the attic while they were doing the work, it was very detailed. Chris's crew definitely takes pride in their job. In fact, I am super happy to say that out of everyone in our neighborhood, I have the BEST looking solar install. The system was installed and inspection came two days later. The Tracy inspector RAVED about how good the job on the roof was done. Chris joked around and said he was happy that the homeowner (me) was around to hear that. The inspector turned to me, looked me straight into the eye, and told me he wasn't paying lip service and that most installers are not that detailed on the roof. BOY - Was I happy to hear that!! In summary - if your looking for an extremely high quality solar installation, with the best equipment available for the best price, and probably the best and most flexible installation crew - contact Kingdom Solar. I could not be happier with the work that Kingdom Solar did. I was floored at how quickly they were able to run computer models that predict energy generation from satellite images of sun exposure, give me a quote, install everything, and handle all permitting/inspections/paperwork. I had a licensed and legal solar installation less than a week after my initial inquiry, and Chris even took care of all the paperwork with PG&E to get my plan switched to one compatible with net use. The installers were extremely professional and very knowledgeable. They did careful work and left everything neater and tidier than when they arrived. The installation uses all top of the line equipment. I did a lot of research about solar, and there is really nothing that they could have done better. As for the results, things are looking pretty good. The work was completed mid-October (it is now mid-November), so I have not yet been able to see the numbers during the best months for solar. Even so, in October I was often generating more electricity than I consumed. This is suggesting that we will do even better than the computer model predicted, and the system should pay for itself in about 7 years. read more

I contracted with Chris to install 6.4KW system through my foam roof along with a new sub-panel. His roof seals were top-notch. I actually feel like my roof is better after they worked on it. The installation of the sub-panel had some challenges due to the old wiring in my house but he was able to do a great job sorting through it. Chris got my contract due to his competitive price and selection of panels, as well as his prompt reply to all my inquiries, even at Saturday / Sunday night. I am very happy with my decision in the end. They were very efficient, did high quality work, cleaned up afterwards, from sign contract to pass city inspection in just a little more than a week. Couldn't be happier with Kingdom. Chris was in close contact through the entire process and the guys were all outstanding. It's a good feeling knowing you're working with people who care about doing it right the first time and taking the homeowners preferences into account even when it means extra work on their part. Originally I contacted Tesla but their process is inflexible - they couldn't fit nearly as many panels as I requested even after half a dozen phone calls. When I called Chris he easily found a way to fit the 7.15 kW system and got the city building permit without a problem. The solar panels took two days to install and the 200amp panel upgrade another day and a half. Each day they arrived early and worked late. They really hustle. The system has been working perfectly and producing more than I expected. As neighbors notice they ask who installed it - I enthusiastically refer them to Kingdom.
