The rest of them stand around gossiping or only seems like they wanna do the regulars and not different patients so I think they can definitely do better with their care quality of the patients that come in there since we're providing them a job read more

Corporate representative suggested I may be feeling discriminated against without myself ever having expressed such a notion and then the company ignored follow-up, I have it on recording for myself and on their end with case number #194782. I patronized the Freedom/Grifols Plasma Center as a healthy years-long "Champion" donor, I can strongly recommend that you never donate at this company as long as Ebony manages the building. She is extremely discourteous, unpleasant, and rude, and ultimately harassed me away as a fully healthy donor to alternative competition for her own personal reasons. A corporate rep, Venus, after hearing Ebony's actions described then suggested I may be facing discrimination on a call. The company proceeded to refuse follow-up calls when I asked for clarification. When I made a polite inquiry about their vital taking procedures, Ebony apparently became offended that I was wasting her time, implied I was making trouble, said their was nothing wrong with their machines and implied my body may be unfit, and then wrote a deliberately misleading deferral that implied I had a legitimate health issue. Ebony claimed I needed a doctor to re-approve me (I already had been) to donate as, due to a couple of red lines (extremely slight, I have photo proof taken immediately after) on my arm from the blood pressure cuff that multiple staff had insisted was common and that I was previously inspected/approved to donate with and I told her would be avoided with a manual reading, and said I was experiencing "notable discomfort/bruising." I did not complain of notable discomfort or pain myself despite the deferral stating this. I can take a video showing that my own blood pressure cuff at home doesn't do this to me. My PCP and ER doctors can write a note that their office's cuffs don't do this either. Ebony then had Grifol's doctors reject my doctor's legitimate medical approval when I returned with said approval, costing me money, began to tell me it is permanently irreversible once a decision has been made, and because there is nothing wrong with me, all it meant is that she turned me away to competition as I am a fully healthy donor and she knows it. I have full photo documentation of all of this. I also have a recorded conversation of her staff telling me that the doctor's note I brought in WOULD be completely acceptable before I happened to bring it in, and no one was able to properly specify for me what exactly was supposedly wrong with it afterwards! Ebony is a sincerely vengeful and unpleasant in how she handles her customer relations. After a call with corporate, I was told that the local office lied and deferrals are in fact removable with a doctor's approval. They said they would have the local office call me. The local office called and lied again. I called corporate again. I have a hyphenated last name and this rep chose to only use my non-American last name. I never once mentioned bias, discrimination, racism, or anything related to the topic. I did mention that it seems that Ebony appears to have a personal problem with me, but this prompted the following response from the rep, Venus, in a bored/sarcastic tone: "For what reasons they have, and as I stated we'd have to send it over to management, and it's totally up to them to make the decisions to contact you back or whatever they gonna do with it, but we make no decisions here so we can just send it back over and as I said I'd send it back over as another complaint for you to get looked at. That's the most we can do here. No other decisions we can make. Then you can explain how you feel to the management when they contact you back if you feel you explain you've been discriminated against with the worker." I immediately said "I did not use that word." Meaning discrimination. I made no legal-related discrimination complaints whatsoever. She said, dismissively, "well I mean, if you feel they have some type of problem with you you can let management know how you're feeling." No one from corporate called me back. A local office called me back, to lie and tell me the decision was not reversible once more. I called corporate again. I asked if they typically deal with cases of discrimination in such a dismissive and unconcerned manner, if they could affirm concern that it may be discrimination as their previous rep did, if they do not refer such things to a legal team, and if it is such a common issue that they encourage representatives to mention it in such a way. I never received a call back. I hope it is not an issue or common that company representatives suggest discrimination complaints to certain callers so they may then proceed to indicate discussion must end as it is now a 'legal issue.' My last FB message from them saying they would investigate was Wednesday the 23rd. I have a recording of Venus suggesting Freedom Plasma may be discriminating against me, a loyal healthy customer, case number for that call being #194782. read more

I donated here regularly for about 6 months. Most of the time, it was fine. The pay was decent, and with the appointment system, it was never too crowded. A couple of months ago, there was a problem with the plasmapharesis machine, and i wasn't able to donate for over a month, due to no fault of my own. But that happens, i'm sure it was just a quality control oversight. But fast-forward to now, I was permanently deferred and they won't even tell me why, due to "company policy". So now, they're making a regular donor go to one of their competitors. Great policy you have there... Absolute BS. Their payment card sucked anyway. read more
