Called Jeff to check out our heater and he came the same day. Honest and professional. We didn't even need to purchase a new part. He made some adjustments and fixed it. He could have gouged us and told us we needed new parts, and added labor costs, but he didn't. He's a good guy and we appreciate that. We asked them to check on a problem with the heater. They quickly found someone turned off the gas. The field guy was nice. However, the back office claimed he gave us a "indoctrination" service. We have had the same equipment for years requiring no indoctrination. Service guy didn't think we should be charged. Back office won't reverse. Be careful with the overcharging. If they talk to you "too much" you have been indoctrinated. Can never recommend them again. read more

Freedom Pool Service completed the job another pool service company couldn't or wouldn't. We had two Jandy pool lights go out under warranty, I contacted the pool service provider 'recommended' by the pool builder, one light was replaced the other light was proving more difficult to remove; so after 11 weeks of stringing me along I reached out to the pool builder for help, one week later the old light was removed and a new light installed! Jeff from Freedom Pool Service is exceptional. The waterfall that feeds into our pool had stopped working & we couldn't figure out the problem. We sought the advice of pool guys & electricians that suggested replacement of the electrical panel & other very expensive ideas, (before they even looked at it). Our home warranty company was no help at all, it turns out that after they send a tech out & charge you a trip fee, they'll tell you it's not covered because it's a water feature. Jeff came out on the same day I called him (WOW!). He knew exactly what to look for after I told him the problem & diagnosed the issue in literally 15 minutes; he had the problem solved in another ten. Jeff diagnosed the problem with our pool heater. He had parts in his well equipped service van and had the heater back up in less than half an hour. He found that a previous repair was incorrectly done causing the heater to malfunction. Great Service! read more

Upon recommendation/referral from a local pool bulilder/installer that had just installed new LED lights in our pool, we had Jeff come out to fix a couple of issues we were having with the spa jet pump as well as getting the pool and spa lights on separate circuits/switches. Jeff came out the same week, and as previously described By others here he was extremely competent, knowledgeable, fast and efficient in getting the issues identified and then fixing them. I think he got both things resolved in about an hour or so from the time he got there! He was super friendly, very knowledgeable, and communicated exactly what the problems were I. My pool construction was completed during fall 2013. The pool builder installed Jandy equipment. The builder had difficulty with various portions of the equipment installation. The builder also could not get the equipment synchronized properly. I contacted Jeff of Freedom Pools, who is a local representative of Jandy and performs warranty work. He came over and quickly resolved all of the issues within minutes, whereas the builder had spent days. Jeff is impressively knowledgeable about pool equipment, including the internal operations of the equipment. I have called upon Jeff several times since. He quickly responses and quickly resolves issues. In one instance, I discovered that the builder did not install a multi-speed circulation pump, which is required by California law. The builder would not agree to correct the issue. I contracted with Jeff of Freedom Pool Service separately. He installed a replacement pump can gave me a break on the cost taking into consideration my situation with the builder. He also contacted Jandy and got the replacement pump included in the original warranty. In another circumstance, I overloaded the controller board by turning on various actuators too quickly. It blew a fuse. Jeff came over early the next morning and fixed the problem. Recently, he also helped me to find a quality contractor for installing a solar heating system for the pool. I highly recommend Freedom Pool Service and particularly Jeff Spiegel. His attention to customer service is outstanding. read more
