I started researching on Yelp and read a lot of great reviews for several local companies. But one company stood out just a bit more which I decided to inquire with: Golden Oak Tree Care. At first I used the Yelp messaging to initiate contact with Reynaldo, the owner, but soon switched to text messaging. He was very quick to respond to my inquiries, needs and pricing after I sent (upon his request) photographs of the nine trees that needed attention. We agreed upon a very reasonable price, then set up a date and time for him and his crew to perform the work. My wife was home so she met the two gentleman that work with Reynaldo. They arrived at the designated timeframe and were very cordial and polite according to my wife. They quickly went to our backyard to prep for their trimming. Reynaldo arrived shortly afterwards but before I arrived home from work. Upon arrival I met him and his crew. All three were really cool and answered all of my questions regarding the types of services they do besides tree care and what they do not do. That was really great news for me since I have several more landscaping projects I can request Reynaldo and his crew to help me out with. Reynald inquired with me if I would like my shrubbery trimmed as well. After deciding which shrubs needed attention, he indicated the additional amount to our original agreed upon amount, to which I agreed to and requested he take care of our shrubs. Over the last year, he has completed multiple jobs for us, and has quite a few more on his roster! Initially, he replaced a rotted, load bearing post for us on our patio. Since then he restored and refinished our fancy standalone electric fireplace, which our dog had pretty much destroyed. He also repaired a vinyl fence that was falling apart due to high winds. Most recently we had him install a short fence around our new studio to create a private patio. Our next project will be to repair and install new vinyl fencing and gates to section off a finished area. There seems to be almost nothing Lamar doesn't know how to repair, install or replace. He is honest, hard working and finishes in a timely manner. When he quotes a job, he sticks by it and he is very affordable--especially for such high quality work.
