I recently had my backyard renovated by Alfonso and his team at Key Landscape. Words cannot describe how grateful and impressed I am with their work. For context: my backyard before the work was a mess. It's 1800-1900 sq ft and I had a sprinkler system that was inadequate to properly water the areas I needed vice the areas I didn't. It would cost me an arm and a leg to water everything which I didn't want to. I have a garden bed area that needed definition and a proper watering system in place. Plus my backyard lacked drainage and needed to be leveled. It was too much for me to handle by myself. I reached out to several companies for quotes. Alfonso stood out as I found him friendly, knowledgeable and professional. He responded to my questions and gave good feedback and options. I hired him and within two days he and his team came out and got to work. There was a lot to do and they moved pretty quickly without cutting corners. Don't look any further because Key Landscape is the company you need!!!! We had to have a concrete pad poured for a Swim-spa and put some feelers out for quotes. Key Landscape beat them all by a mile! We decided to go with them because of their awesome reviews and believe me when I say THEY ARE ALL TRUE!!! Alfonso responded quickly to our request for a quote so we made an appointment which was within a day or two. He showed up on time and was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and professional. We told him what our lowest bid was and boy did he beat it!! We decided on a start date and he and his guys showed up right on time (do you see a pattern here? :) and went to work. They framed the area, poured the concrete and also did some saw cutting of the concrete patio for the electrical work we will need for the spa. There was a little bit of finish work to be done the next day and when we tried to pay Alfonso in full, he said "The job isn't finished. You can pay me tomorrow." Alfonso and his team did a great job on the landscaping of our backyard, but my wife and I were excited about this project ever since the first visit for the estimate. Alfonso took the time to understand our vision and offer his recommendations when we needed insight but also never shut down our ideas, whether we went forward with those ideas or not. Key Landscape offered a great value compared to the other quotes we received. Our retaining wall/concrete and other items were at about the lowest or close enough to it, but Alfonso made us comfortable enough where paying a bit more than just the lowest quote was worth it. During the entire process, Alfonso always got back to me when I reached out with questions. We were very happy with his communication and never being annoyed with all our questions. We had to go on vacation during the project but Alfonso made sure our irrigation and electrical outside got setup properly and correctly while we were away and kept us in the loop about how the project was going. Called them to cut down our palm tree. Tree was about 45 feet high; after getting several quotes went with Key Tree Service since they gave us the best price. The owner showed up on time for the quote, and our appointment to cut the tree down. Was communicative via txt and cleaned the mess up. I would totally hire them again to tend any trees on my property. I give them a 4.9, but I paid to have the stump grinder and they were not able to completely remove the stump. It wasn't their fault (the tree grew over the decorative bricks and were growing inside the tree. Had to stop stump grinding or it would break the teeth), but it would have been cool to renegotiate the price since I still have some of the stump. I didn't think about this until later that night. However, I would recommend them to anyone I know. read more

No big deal, just wish he would have been more professional about it and let me know before the day I expected him to show up. They did a great job tilling and compacting our whole yard. They installed a large section of dg and then laid sod down in a pretty big sized rectangle. Everything looks good, nice and flat (we had bad gopher damage). And the new grass looks nice. Hopefully it survives this heat. Small crew, but they got the job done quicker than expected.
